Hoax: MSNBC Reporter Falls for False Blog Post Claiming Credit for Palin Leak

From Eisenstadt's Blog: "By now you’ve all heard the Fox News report last week that 'unnamed' former McCain advisers leaked that Sarah Palin was confused about whether Africa was a continent, and which countries were in NAFTA. I was perfectly happy staying under the radar as an anonymous source for Fox News‘ Carl Cameron, but now that Palin has accused her accusers of being 'unprofessional…jerks…cowards… taking things out of context, and then tried to spread something on national news' and begun to cast doubt on the Fox News report, maybe she’s right to a certain extent."

What a suprise, an MSNBC reporter taking blog gossip for hard news, big suprise. I wonder who hacked the web site, it seems they are trying to stoke tensions.

Boston sports fans are less one sided than MSNBC’s “news” anchors. Less annoying too.

Bubbala   November 10th, 2008 - 9:51 pm

There are so many Splogs (Spam blogs) and otherwise ‘anonymous’ blogs (Spam and otherwise) that it’s an easy error to make, particularly when anyone has ardent political NEED to believe some information.

Palin’s a decent and remarkable person and because of that, and her Conservative views, beliefs and lifestyle, I’m sure that the haters will continue their onslaught upon her.

But MSNBC has never encountered gossip it didn’t relish, let me put it that way.

Steve in NYC   November 10th, 2008 - 10:23 pm

Wait, MSNBC not properly researching a negative story about Sarah Palin? SAY IT AIN’T SO!

Kenny C   November 10th, 2008 - 10:27 pm

Leaks? We use to call A holes like that …Rat Finks…better hope Sarah is really not that dumb and mistake you for a moose. I hear she’s a good shooter.

Dennis in Georgia   November 10th, 2008 - 10:42 pm

Sarah is smarter than all of us, anyone could mis a few gotcha questions like that, why were they even asking her most of us don’t know the ansers, its not a quiz show its a race for president and vice president. Anyway Africa USED to be a Country, they just made it a Continet when the Black Nationilists took over.

David Zukerman   November 10th, 2008 - 11:04 pm

Am a bit confused. Was the leak to MSNBC or Fox. And was the leak a hoax or not?

This would seem the first time we have had a post-election dirty trick played again your own team.

If the leaker is linked to Rudy Giuliani would like to give Gov. Palin informatin how the former mayor manipulated property taxes to end my family’s real estate business — alas, this is NOT a hoax.

Leftist “journalists” are easily fooled.

From what little I watch of MSNBC, it seems to me that this Shuster guy screws up a Lot!

The only time you ever hear his name outside of their broadcasts is when he flubs soething up.

I bet he does this on purpose, just so he can get some kinf of recognition outside of the MSNBC information prison camp!

And from what I can tell, no one else cares what this dope thinks, I know I don’t.

HANOI JOHN   November 11th, 2008 - 2:23 am

Hey, Shuboy, has Carl Rove been indicted yet?
Remember, you reported he would be.

Once again, great job – you’re a real pro. Progressive that is.

MSNBC is a disgrace to TV! The national enquirer has more credibility than them. Hopefully they will continue to lose money and disappear from TV. I would fire the whole crew.

TrishtheDish   November 11th, 2008 - 2:47 am

Why is everyone so obsessed with Palin? Check out this funny Palin McCain parody:

The way duh left, and their seeing eye dogs (MSM), are continuing to bash Palin, McCain, and Dub. You would think the election is next week. Mebbe someone should tell the Muslim State National Broadcasting Company, that the election was Tuesday last. And Obama won.

Jeffrey   November 11th, 2008 - 6:09 am

Maybe someone should tell the MARXIST media, that you need Kahunas and to stand behind your words instead of being a coward and waiting til you have enough press. These people have got to be the same kids we beat up on the playground.

Buccaneer   November 11th, 2008 - 10:31 am

Isn’t it great that Al Gore invented the internet?

Now we have all these unnamed, reliable sources upon which gullible people (aka Democrats) can base an opinion and actually vote for the other candidate.

Remember the “news” that Sarah Palin wanted library censorship? This, also later proven to be from a democrat operative blogger.
It took CNN 2 weeks to issue retraction.

This election was stolen in the sense that Democrats sent fake news stories out into blogger sphere and liberal news media eagerly reporting it as “true” and news worthy.

Edword   November 11th, 2008 - 10:46 am

Since when did it matter whether it is true or not?

Jo Ann   November 11th, 2008 - 10:57 am

If its a negative story on Palin the MSM will report it so fast without checking the truth.

If a positive story on Palin is released the MSM will just sit on it and not report it.

I hope Palin comes out and bites everyone in the ….

Wes Hazlett   November 11th, 2008 - 11:05 am

What is MSNBC? is that some new college football league or something?

Mark the Qeeur   November 11th, 2008 - 11:21 am

I would like to see Mr. Palin and Obama go one on one.

Ethan   November 11th, 2008 - 12:07 pm

Now another adviser, Mark McGrenra, has come out saying “Palin supporters are, for the most part, too dumb to understand just how dumb she is.”

That is totally outrageous. I am writing the RNC and demanding my contributions back. This McGrenra jerk should personally pay. If he believed that when she was running, he should have told us. But it’s a load of bull anyway, he is just a jealous RINO.

JimTurk   November 11th, 2008 - 10:06 pm

John McCain is a genuine good person with a boat load of real credentials. He ran however one of the worse or if not the worst campaigns for the presidency this side of 1960. Any negative reflection on Mrs. Palin is way off the mark. These idiots that ran the campaign are simply that – “idiots”. Mrs. Palin gave the campaign a boost – if it was anyone else on the ticket Obama (No credentials whatsoever)would have won in a real landslide the way this campaign was handeled!

Mors Hustibus   November 12th, 2008 - 2:30 am

TrishtheDish, Palin is HOT. David Zukerman, how do you always double post? Oh yeah, journalism is dead! Those idiots do the same thing we do, check the blogs. We don’t have a single decent paper or news broadcast anymore. Maybe, sometimes, Brit Hume’s show. But that network is with all of them in that their drive by ‘reporting’ is worthless. PMSNBC is the lowest of the low. They put ADHD retards on the air for ADHD retards to view.

PDoG 2006   November 14th, 2008 - 12:18 am

Can you hear the glee in the “journalist’s” voice and see the sneer on his face as he regurgitates this blogosphere crapola as news on a major cable news channel?

To know you’ve been had, and then to continue your daily attacks unapologetically is a sure sign of ignorance and that you’ve been re-educated by ‘those who know better’.
