It took record breaking fund raising and record breaking spending by the DNC to defeat a propped up 72 year-old moderate (who still won 46% of the popular vote), and once considered joining the Democratic party a few years ago. The results might have been different if a true conservative was running, but a perfect storm was brewing, an economy that tanked at the right time and eight years of Bush was too much to overcome. For the rest of the Dems outside the circle of Obama this entire election was about getting a person of color in the White House, what they got was a Socialist in sheeps clothing.

First, no NEWS outlet (at least in theory) should have bias one way or the other. They are supposed to be reporting the NEWS. That means facts, not opinions. I would disagree that Fox is in trouble, but neither of us has and real evidence to back it up.

Secondly, if there is such a concern for the Free Market by the libs, then why on earth would the try and introduce the Fairness Doctrine? The lib radio shows have historically failed because no one tuned in. You actually got confused about your job description a year or so ago when you decided it was your job to get this guy elected. Now it’s your job to make him a sucess? I grew up in the South and always detested the country club republicans. Because they aren’t the people that they are fighting for. They are just regular folks being duped by the liars, and one upping their neighbors with their republicanisms. These are always the easiest people to rally. Those who don’t want to seem different or “unamerican”, whatever the hell that means. Obama will never earn the respect of the far right because he is blowing the whistle on their whole illusion. Chris Matthews is not trying to reach those people. They are lost. He is doing his best to reach the masses with the other point of view. And from the results of this last election, he’s on the winning side. So quit showing your hatred for him. Apathy, not hate, is the opposite of admiration. Let it go. You are one of us or you wouldn’t be here blogging. You’d be on your yacht. And we both know you’re not.

Matthews and his cohorts have been after Bush since 2000 because of “voter fraud”. The military absentee vote didn’t get counted then and it’s not counted in this election. Anybody going to investigate? They only let up on Bush bashing for a few weeks after 9/11. I am sure they will still blame Bush till the end of Obama’s presidency (shutter to say that).
Liberals are so afraid of the ring-wing voices I am sure they will enact the Fairness Doctrine. Freedom of Speech? Do you think the ACLU will intervene??

Keep in mind that Hollywood, the media, academia and uber-wealthy places like Manhattan are populated with liberal Democrats. The notion that Republicans are the party of the wealthy is tired, old and proves that you are out-of-touch. It’s entirely a myth. But if you are trying to show your elitism by making fun of those who are not wealthy and who value their freedom, then you are correctly an Obama supporter and defender of Matthews.

Overall, it sounds like you believe in the false promise of big government utopia and are too ignorant to understand that big government never brings utopia, only oppression.
