First of all, I did not see anyone approach the person holding up the Communist flag and ask them why they thought it was appropriate – or if they were even an Obama supporter… Anyone who supports Obama knows that that is the type of smears that his opponents like to use and therefore would not be presenting it so in your face… and how come only Fox News caught this? Sounds like a plant to me.
Secondly, it seems as if none of you heard Obama’s acceptance speech when he put all the garbage his opponents have said about him behind us and welcomed even those who did not vote for him to give their input and be heard.
Yes, it stinks if your side lost… and I thought McCain gave a very dignified speech last night… but if we want our country to succeed, we need to stop trash-talking and get down to business.
Another thing… have you ever thought that MAYBE his supporters have some common sense or intelligence? You cannot claim to love America and think that 52% of the population are idiots. Our country IS ALL ABOUT the people.
Aside from the political differences, I am proud that America elected its first black president. I think this says a great deal about Americans as whole and it tells the rest of the world that we are not racist against our own people. Obama is our own people, and he loves this country as much as the rest of us. I really think we ought to give him a break (from the bashing) and let him prove himself to the country. It won’t be easy, because there are many minds he has to change, but I think he deserves the opportunity… he worked hard for it.
Neither Fox News nor any previous commenter here seems to even have noticed that, desptire the fact this was a crowd of Obama supporters, that flag didn’t manage to make an appearance for more than a second or two before members of the crowd grabbed it and pulled it down. I think the communist flag is appropriate for the Obama administration. I believe that most of the people that voted for Obama don’t even understand what Marxism/communism/socialism is. Thanks to our schools, kids aren’t being taught these things and now they’re voting for principles that I believe to be un-American.
