My condolences to all of the her family and the Senator and his family. Having recently gone through the loss of someone who died from cancer, I hope as he grieves, Sen. Obama can forgive himself for accusing his grandmother of being a racist when he tried to dig himself out of the mess and deflect criticism during the Reverend Wright controversy. I will forever remember how he threw her under the bus to save his political career when Senator Clinton was coming on strong in the primaries. Condolences yes, blinders to the real Obama, NO.

Obama never did anything other than describe for us a woman he knew and he loved who was part of a generation that was uncomfortable around black people. Many of you post on this site and we all read your comments each day. I know that generation as well because they are in my family — I love them dearly and recognize them in his description. My grandmother was afraid of her next door neighbor because he was black and a few years later they were friends.

Your life is a total mess. You know it and I know it. How can you try to judge some one by what you do when you lose a loved one? Life has to continue, you grieve in the process. Obama had every right to sit in the same church for 20yrs. Rev. Wright is a voice crying out for justice and telling America that we are not always right in dealing with people different than we are. He spoke the same thing that God did to Israel in Isaiah. The problem that I have with Rev. Wright is that he let his anger for injustice get in the way and say things in an un Christ like manner. It was more the way he said it that was not right, therefore, he did not reflect the way Christ is saying it.
