Lets hope all the hardworking coal miners that typically vote Democratic have a change of heart this election.
i hope they haven’t voted already harry. if the msm had covered this as well as all of the other things obama has said that fell through the cracks then this election would look a lot different.
I worked in a couple of coal fired power plants in Colorado in the 90’s. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the overall operation. 46% of the nations electricity comes from coal. The fly ash that is produced is used in the making of cement. I believe a bag of portland cement is around 80% fly ash. The list of workers tied to this industry are to numerous to mention in this post. The point I make is this is not an industry that we need to bankrupt. If I remember the panic that happens in big cities when the blackouts hit, or the old rolling blackouts in California were not favored.
McCain/Palin 2008
God Bless America!
With any luck this will put Virginia and Pennsylvania in McCain’s side. The economy their depends on coal production.
But you never know until the fat lady sings. The media there will keep it out of sight until after the election.
Makes you wonder why all the online ads from Obama say to “Vote Early”.
The “Messiah of Islam” says no to a possible form of energy using coal…we say “no” to him period!
President Elect McCain and Vice President Elect Palin say “yes” to all forms of alternative energy as possible and we say “yes” to them.
Join with me and the millions and millions of the other “silent majority” in voting for the only “honest” “all American” candidate…President Elect McCain!
He has promised to get America back to where she should be…and he keeps his word!
VOTER REVOLUTION ON TUESDAY…BE THERE!
FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE…MILLIONS AND MILLIONS HAVE DIED FOR US TO BE FREE…LET’S NOT LET THEIR SACRIFICE BE IN VAIN!
GOD BLESS AMERICA THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE…MAY OUR GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS OUR GREAT NATION AS WE LOOK TO HIM FOR GUIDANCE!
They want their supporters to vote early because that is where the fraud is the easiest to get away with like voting under a dead persons name. They found 6000 names of dead people on Dallas County rolls and several early votes under those names.
The Democrats use this fraud to swing close elections then accuse the Republicans of vote suppression because they challenge defective registrations such as dead people or non residents.
The liberal Democrats hate the election process because everyone has an “equal” input and do everything they can to subvert it. The last thing they want is the light of day shining on their dishonesty.
Palin you are either desperate or lack common sense. You are trying to play on peoples ignorance. The message Obama/Biden is sending is quite clear, we do not want to add new dirty coal businesses to the ones we have. Obama is not talking about closing the ones that are operational. This will eventually happen when clean coal takes over. Why add to the pollution we have created. Now is the time to clean up the environment. Palin is trying to be part of the problem rather than the solution. She needs to address what her and McCain plan to do to stop pollution. I thought she was smarter than that.
Chris
Obama didn’t say that..you did. Too bad he didn’t think of that when he said he would fine the coal companies and bankrupt them. He’s a complete incompetent, narssitic, Marxist, Socialist, Communist. Who is hell bent on destroying this country.
Brian you may have been impressed by the cleanliness because all of your sulphur dixoide emissions were raining down on the lakes in the midwest killing our creatures. Its nice when you can blow your problems onto someone else.
DONT YOU GUYS SEE THATS WHY HE WANTED EVERY ONE TO VOTE EARLY HE KNEW ABOUT ALL THE TAPES FLOATING THAT HE WAS TELLING HIS TRUE THOUGHTS ON I WISH LA TIMES WOULD RELEASE THAT ONE BUT THEY WANT HE PROMISED THEM GAYS AT THE PAPER HE WOULD KEEP ALL THE QUEERS TOGETHER AND HAPPY IF THEY DIDN,T RELEASE IT DONT YOU SEE WHAT HE,S DOING YOU SCRATCH MY NU**T I,LL SCRATCH YOURS THATS HIS VOWS
Mary,
If you listen to that small sound bite you can tell what he is doing and why. Obama cares deeply about our health and welfare. He is holding companies responsibly to keeping the environment clean and he is holding citizens responsible for saving energy. We have become too wasteful as a nation and need to get a grip. Obama is stopping us from disaster. At the end of the clip and the beginning of the clip you will see the truth. At the end Biden said that coal is affecting our health. They care about our health.
Obama vows to bankrupt coal industry.

Cut and paste this link everywhere you can – MSM will not report this!
Get the word out…
Harry,
Are you paranoid? The news has been telling you why it is important to vote early. It is important to vote early to avoid standing in line for 2-6 hours at the polls. This election is expecting a huge turnout. Keep in mind that the voting machines do encounter problems and cause delays in voting. Common sense even tells us why voting early can save time later.
Chris and grik, arn’t you guys hooked up to the electric grid? Are you AMISH? Where do we get the energy so we can live a 21st century lifestyle? DEMOs no to NUKE, COAL, OIL, GAS, WINDMILLS, TIDE generation, Hydroelectric, I even read some crazies are against geothermal. Can we wait for solar? What are we to do? We’re going to legalize 20 to 30 million more illegals and add another 50 million relatives, are they not going to be able to use electricity?
I have lived in many hell holes around the world and in Europe. I can truthfully say the good ole USA is the cleanest I have ever lived in. Is it OK for the CHi-Coms to build 33 new MEGA NUKE plants and a new coal power plant with no polution controls every three days?
We all use electricity, and we all shop and work in places powered by it, our kids go to school in buildings that need electricity; if the price skyrockets, we’re all in big trouble.
Please, if you are an undecided voter, head to Google before you head to the polls.
Search “OBAMA” plus any of the following phrases on this list below, and take a look at what’s out there for yourself.

There is nothing more pathetic than an Obama supporter.
“Well, he said that, but what he meant was..”.
Did any of you Obama\Biden sheep ever consider that if they need an interpreter to explain everything they say, they are not fit to hold office? When do we know what is really what they believe and what is open to personal interpretation?
I want a President, not a Rorschach Test.
Mac-101,
One plue One equals Two. We are not getting rid of the coal mines that are in use we are stopping new ones from forming. Instead, the plan is to create clean coal to replace the old coal. Common Sense has to prevail at some point.
I’ve never had more than 2-3 people in front of me to vote.
Bill Chicago,
Any racist can twist what their opponent meant. That is the oldest rule in the rule book. You know like I do what Obama meant. The truth is that you do not want a brown skinned person improving our country. I got news for you. He is an American like you and I and he has a deep desire to improve the atmosphere quality and our health.
Harry,
Like I said this election is expecting a high turnout across the nation. Your little town will go from 2-3 people in line to possibly 12 people in line ahead of you.
Let’s all do like Al Gore. Buy carbon credits. From a carbon credit company you created and own.
What hypocrites.
“Are you paranoid?”
Can we have a civil discussion without the name calling?
I’m not “paranoid” for voting on election day, and so what if I live in a ‘little town’ with no line ups.
Coal official calls Obama comments ‘unbelievable’.
“This is an attitude and view that, to me, shows their hatred of coal. And therefore, their view would cost West Virginians thousands upon thousands of jobs.”
“McCain understands that coal supports about 49 percent of our electricity in this country. He’ll continue to make coal important. He wants to reduce our foreign dependency on oil.”
Chris in San Jose…pay attention.
Biden said:
“We’re not supporting clean coal.”
“No coal plants here in America.”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ55UzAsp6M
Watch video & learn.
Harry,
There is nothing wrong with your town. The question of paranoia is a legitimate question. You have the mentality that someone is out to get you. You apply this concept by falsely claiming that Obama means harm when he means good in his remarks.
American-
Don’t you realize you are being racist? Did you get the memo? To question Obama or the Obama ticket is racist now.
What an exciting times we live in. Just repeating what someone says without the proper ideological slant is now a racist act!
You know, I always wondered, why are green olives sold in clear jars, but black olives are always in a can? Racism obviously.
WV Coal Association,
Profit is all that coal officials see. They could care less about the environment and their workers. Remember the true story of Erin Brockovich. That took place here in America. Money matters more to these owners than a healthy environment.
Bill Chicago,
If you study the behavior of people with hatred/racism for someone they will deny the truth of what that person is saying to benefit their negative perceptions about that person. This makes a person filled with hatred stand out like a sore thumb. You are not alone. Most of the people posting are biased and will twist the truth to fit or justify their negative perception.
Now you say I have mental issues and I’m paranoid? Are you done?
This is typical liberal trait to name call someone who does not agree with you or tells you something you just don’t like to hear.
Harry,
It is a yes/no response. You tell me if you have mental issues. Do you? Are you paranoid? Remember this is a yes/no question. Do not assume anything just answer yes/no. Your response is the correct answer.
BTW Obama campaign has wiped their site re environmental fact sheet stance on their cap & trade plan for coal surprise, surprise

when you try the link to “HIS CAMPAIGN WEB SITE”
it’s gone on the barackobama.com page

McCain’s cap-and-trade position is similar to both of his liberal potential adversaries. According to HIS CAMPAIGN WEB SITE, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) also supports “implementation of a market-based cap-and-trade system to reduce carbon emissions by the amount scientists say is necessary: 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050.
Bill Chicago – Yikes! What was I thinking?
American,
You were not thinking but we are glad that you are with us now. Welcome.

“What about the word “BANKRUPT” don’t you understand?”
Are you serious? He promises to BANKRUPT any new coal businesses that try to start up in the coal industry producing dirty coal.
People…Chris-n-San-Jose…is not someone you can reason with…he is really very, very self-righteous…and doesn’t consider any facts that anyone provides to him.
Conversing with him never gets anywhere…I will never do it again…it is only one sided…because he refuses to listen!

Eileen for McCain/Palin,
I can’t reason with people that are being foolish and twisting the truth.
notice Chris-n-Jose is always off by 11:15pm The way he writes I suspect he’s only around 13, his young mind still forming still so full of magical thinking. Only 4-5 short years ago he fully believed in Santa, Obama is the perfect replacement for the fantasy that Santa was, he can see him in the flesh and wants to believe so badly.
Stick around chris we’ll help you through this period of your evolving life.
In the mean time ponder these two quotes by~Winston Churchill
“We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself
into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and
trying to lift himself up by the handle.”
“The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.”
Eileen, I take your point, but at least one more try…
Chris in San Jose… Stop wasting your time on childish remarks and again, pay attention:

Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.
Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon.
…oh those early ads to encourage voting “early and often”….indeed. How many votes does Mickey Mouse get? Is it One Mouse One Vote? or has Obama already changed that rule?
Straight off the SF Chronicle website.
It’s not true.
But the Drudge Report, the Republican National Committee and apparently even GOP VP candidate Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin fell for completely fabricated news from a shady website called Newsbusters today suggesting the San Francisco Chronicle has ”hidden” audio with Sen. Barack Obama regarding his statements on coal.
”Barack Obama explained his plan to the San Francisco Chronicle this year,” she told a rally in Ohio Sunday. ”He said that sure, if the industry wants to build coal-fired power plants, then they can go ahead and try, he says, but they can do it only in a way that will bankrupt the coal industry.”
She added, ”And you’ve got to listen to the tape.”
”Why is the audiotape just now surfacing?” Palin asked the crowd, according to a report from CBS News. Someone in the crowd shouted, ”Liberal media!’
Let’s be very clear: the Chronicle did not, and has never, hidden any interview, audio or video, of Obama from its readers.
The truth: the paper’s January editorial board session with Obama included comments about coal. The entire interview has been in the public domain, available on line to the public — and to the McCain campaign — since early January.
”How can anyone suggest that we hid an interview that we did, immediately put up on the web — and advertised to our readers,” said editorial page editor John Diaz Sunday, regarding his hosting of Obama at the session. ”We promoted it like like hell…and I’m sure the Clinton campaign and the McCain campaign scrubbed it. You can still find the whole 48 minutes and 33 seconds on line.”
Obama’s campaign responded to Palin’s comments today, noting correctly that the wide-ranging interview also included the Illinois Senator’s comments that the idea of eliminating coal plants was ”an illusion.”
Apparently neither campaign, until now, ever felt there was much worth mentioning regarding Obama’s coal comments. But it’s now two days before the election and McCain is in a do-or-die battle in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
A final note: the shoddy Newsbusters blog has been caught in the past simply fabricating news regarding the Chronicle’s coverage. Our paper has demanded corrections for their fiction, but to no avail.
We contacted Bill Riggs, regional press secretary of the Republican National Committee tonight on his emailing of this erroneous report suggesting a ”hidden” Chronicle audiotape to political reporters. His response: he didn’t confirm it, or write the headline. He just sent it out.
He got taken. And so did the rest.

Chris – F U
Obama;”So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, THEY CAN; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
again, what DON’T you understand about the word BANKRUPT?
I think you’re the one trying to do the convincing. And, it’s working. Keep it up.
OBAMA;
Let me sort of describe my overall policy.
What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.
I was the first to call for a 100% auction on the cap and trade system, which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants that are being built, that they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted down caps that are being placed, imposed every year.
And, if you believe these folks:
Sunday:
ABC Obama 54% McCain 43%
CBS Obama 54% McCain 41%
Gallup Obama 53% McCain 42%
No wonder you were a pushover for the Obortion.
I don’t think Obama will get the 40,000 votes here…
According to the West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training, the coal industry provides about 40,000 direct jobs in the state, including those for miners, mine contractors, coal preparation plant employees and mine supply company workers.
West Virginia is the second largest coal-producing state in the country behind Wyoming and accounts for about 15 percent of all coal production in the United States. The Mountain State leads the nation in underground coal production and leads the nation in coal exports with over 50 million tons shipped to 23 countries. West Virginia accounts for about half of U.S. coal exports.
In addition, the coal industry pays about $70 million in property taxes in the state annually, and the Coal Severance Tax adds about $214 million into West Virginia’s economy. The coal industry payroll in the state is nearly $2 billion per year, and coal is responsible for more than $3.5 billion annually in the gross state product.
I understand that people need incentives to do what is right. Obama is offering incentives to make our fellow Americans more responsible for the atmosphere. New coal companies will be charged a hefty fine for producing more of the same pollution. You kill, you go to jail. You still, you go to jail. You pollute the atmosphere and you pay fine, one that will put you out of business because you should not have started it in the first place adding to the pollution. Solution not pollution. Obama.
Chris, what about 100% DON’T you understand?
OBAMA;
Lady L.,
Your reasoning is flawed. West Virginia does not believe the crap you are saying. Obama wouldnt put a whole state out of work. He did graduate from Harvard.
“What about 100%?”
What you do not understand is Obama is help the environment, our health, and ultimately the planet. What don’t you understand? 1+1=2. Do you understand?
Well my facts are not flawed my liberal friend please read for yourself..
http://www.wvrecord.com/news/215679-coal-official-calls-obama-comments-unbelievable
“I voted against the Clear Skies Bill. In fact, I was the deciding vote — despite the fact that I’m a coal state and that half my state thought that I had thoroughly betrayed them. Because I think clean air is critical and global warming is critical.
“But this notion of no coal, I think, is an illusion. Because the fact of the matter is, is that right now we are getting a lot of our energy from coal. And China is building a coal-powered plant once a week. So what we have to do then is figure out how can we use coal without emitting greenhouse gases and carbon. And how can we sequester that carbon and capture it. If we can’t, then we’re gonna still be working on alternatives.
“But … let me sort of describe my overall policy. What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade policy in place that is as aggressive if not more aggressive than anyone out there. I was the first call for 100 percent auction on the cap and trade system. Which means that every unit of carbon or greenhouse gases that was emitted would be charged to the polluter. That will create a market in which whatever technologies are out there that are being presented, whatever power plants are being built, they would have to meet the rigors of that market and the ratcheted-down caps that are imposed every year.
“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted. That will also generate billions of dollars that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel, and other alternative energy approaches. The only thing that I’ve said with respect to coal — I haven’t been some coal booster. What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as an ideological matter, as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it, that I think is the right approach. The same with respect to nuclear. Right now, we don’t know how to store nuclear waste wisely and we don’t know how to deal with some of the safety issues that remain. And so it’s wildly expensive to pursue nuclear energy. But I tell you what, if we could figure out how to store it safely, then I think most of us would say that might be a pretty good deal.
“The point is, if we set rigorous standards for the allowable emissions, then we can allow the market to determine and technology and entrepreneurs to pursue, what the best approach is to take, as opposed to us saying at the outset, here are the winners that we’re picking and maybe we pick wrong and maybe we pick right.”
Lady L.,
Your link states coal officials not voters in WV. They do not represent the majority or minority of voters in WV. Obama/Biden 08 for a better nation and environment.
That will also generate billions of dollars
(that comes from bankrupting companies)
that we can invest in solar, wind, biodiesel, and other alternative energy approaches
The only thing that I’ve said with respect to coal
— I haven’t been some coal booster.
What I have said is that for us to take coal off the table as an ideological matter, as opposed to saying if technology allows us to use coal in a clean way, we should pursue it, that I think is the right approach.

SFC doesn’t though the bit about cap & trade is not in this article
The right approach indeed to a cleaner, safer environment. Obama/Biden 08 for America.
Lady L.,
In that case, they all might be voting for Obama. The only reason they work in such a hazardous environment is because of the lack of job choices. The onwers of the coal business do not have to suffer the same fate as their employees. They sit back and collect the money.
Chris-n-San Jose to Lady L.,
“West Virginia does not believe the crap you are saying”
Chris are directly linked into the physique of West Virginia? how do you KNOW what they believe all the way out there in CA?
I don’t trust early voting and this is why. This crap comes out after a lot of people have voted. I live in coal country and a lot of miners around here are out of work. Senator government wants it out of business. No one knows anything about “That One”. An illegal aunt in a South Boston housing project. “I didn’t know” says Ali Obumma. His administration wants to control ALL the major industrys so as to ration essentials. Why do you think democraps don’t want to drill? Throw us some crumbs oh great Caesar. People who voted early must be having buyer remorse
Chris from San J, why wouldn’t OBama put a whole state out of work? CLINTON did when he approved NAFTA! I know I’m a by-product of the NAFTA relief workers of America, 300 out of a job!!! My job went to Mexico and CLINTON approved of it, done deal! The Mexicans get paid 1.80 an hour and no benefits of course, just slave labor from a corporation that is out of Australia that moved an American company of 32 years, to Mexico!
Oh, and all of the people from other states, a WARNING! If anyone moves into your town, city or state that is from California and they run for a political office, DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM, I repeat, DO NOT VOTE FOR THEM, they most likely will be MOONBAT LIBERALS! And with San Jose Chris, this is exactly the mentality of a NUTROOT, their way or no way. What a nightmare, and yes they have taken over my Cali, the BODYSNATCHERS!
Chris what DON”T you understand about the word “retrofit” & “That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
OBAMA;
“You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”
Obama then went on to explain that this skyrocketing of the prices would hopefully result in people pursuing cleaner energy sources, which would then help combat climate change. “They — you — you can already see what the arguments will be during the general election. People will say, ‘Ah, Obama and Al Gore, these folks, they’re going to destroy the economy, this is going to cost us eight trillion dollars,’ or whatever their number is. If you can’t persuade the American people that yes, there is going to be some increase in electricity rates on the front end, but that over the long term, because of combinations of more efficient energy usage, changing lightbulbs and more efficient appliance, but also technology improving how we can produce clean energy, the economy would benefit,” he said.
How do I know? The same way that you and Lady L know, by assumption. I like you guys, you make it so easy for me to show you how absurd your comments can be. We can all assume how West Virginia will vote based on Obama trying to help them succeed. He is not taking away their coal jobs. Obama is preventing the West Virginia air from being polluted with more of the same.
Most amazing about today’s audios is not that Obama made the statements; many people such as myself have always said that Obama may be many things, but a moderate he is not.
Pay special attention to Obama’s “whatever their number is”-remark. He does not even take the cost of his plan serious.~Ed Morrissey
@Chris-n-San Jose to Harry,

BTW with regard to your comment that Americans are wasteful, they tend to have short attention spans and can be intensely LAZY.
suck it up, wait in line, it may foster some character.
what is surprising is that American ‘old’ media have ignored them completely and even actively tried to bury them. This is more than worthy of coverage; energy is one of the most important issues in the coming years, the statements of candidates on it should be reported and shared with the public.~Ed Morrissey
thiaCyn,
Name the state that was put out of work. Your comment is absurd.
“Chris what DON”T you understand about the word “retrofit” & “That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.””
Awe!!! You afraid of a big coporation punishing you because they can’t pollute the air. It will be okay, don’t cry. You gone make me cry watching you cry over a few dollars.
Julee,
You reposted this comment so I could laugh, right. First, you are not 144yrs old and would not have had to wait years to earn the right to vote. You were able to vote soon as you became of age.
Secondly, people do work on 04 Nov 2008 and do not have time to stand in line all day. Parents must feed their children, etc.
How long will I have to explain the obvious to all the Haters on this site?
I love you guys though. It is normally just me against all of you.

OBAMA;
“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
For those who are still debating Obama’s remarks and what they mean. The intricacies of politics, their arguments and what has been promised or not in obscure non-everyday-folks’ jargon, do not hit home as much as reality. What I can say is that the reality of you wondering why you have to pay increased taxes for next heating bill, food bill, any bill and finding it’s gone up x amount of $. Ask then yourself why? Or ask now why? How can that happen? Why are the gas companies charging more? Why do we have to pay more for everyday living expenses? From where has the money to come from when power companies have to pay higher taxes? Since most people do not belong to the higher tax bracket, from where has the money to come from? In this case let’s just say, when power companies have to pay higher taxes? Let’s say I will decide to give your tips that you worked for to someone else in the same workplace I consider need it more than you under the ‘Spread Around the Wealth’ principle or that I, as your boss, determines I’m going to follow this ‘Spread the Wealth’ principle and hire someone else to help the workforce with the commission you earned because it would help the company’s lack of helping hands so we can all benefit when the company grows, we’ll be creating more jobs. Or that I will join the Civilians Force that Obama will organize, just so I can watch my neighbors, colleagues and whoever I deem spying on me and my family, and that I’m free to ‘rat’ on them in any way I see fit because of some ‘irregularity or infringement’ of whatever Obama’s such force require its members to follow. Want more examples?
Where are Palin’s MEDICAL RECORDS??
We know about as much about Palin as we do about Obama–LESS, in fact.
Guess Chris-n-San Jose is getting pretty paranoid that this Obama audio is out there.
I’ve heard the audio and read the transcripts. He said it, he meant it, he is a dangerous man. Obama wants to BANKRUPT the cole industry.
He doesn’t care about the American worker as he claims, nor will he deliver a robust economy. Obama only cares about advancing his freedom-taking, Socialist policies. You know, redistributing the wealth.
Evidently, so does Chris-n-San Jose.
What does it say about people that they want an entire industry to go bankrupt and scores of people to lose their jobs. No compassion … none.
Obama will not only bankrupt the coal industry, he will bankrupt the entire nation. His “Civilian National Security Force” was known back in the late 30’s as the “Brown Shirts” under Adolph Hitler. It is very plain to see that no matter what happens on election day, there is going to be a Second American Civil War. God help us all. I can only hope that all the true Americans are well stocked on all they need to get through this coming bloodbath.
Go get ‘em, Sarah!!!
Gotta luv that woman.
“Julee said;I belong to the sisterhood of women who had to wait 144 YEARS to get the vote!!
I sure as hell can stand in line a few hours to VOTE!
what about belong to don’t you understand?
you sure are thick!”
If you are going to try to defend someone please consider all avenues. Let me put this in simple terms for you. Those minorities that had to wait 144yrs plus to gain the right to vote did so while working, going to school, raising families, etc. Their struggle did not require them to choose between the other important things. More like working and going to school at the same time.
Election day is different. you only have 24hrs to vote and tend to other important matters. Why would you try to cram voting into one day if you do not have to? Common sense must prevail at some point.
Sheila,
You guys are making me laugh to hard. It appears that most of you are choosing to overlook the truth of what he said. Obama said that he will bankrupt those who try to establish new coal businesses. He did not say that he was shutting down the operational plants. Therefore, people currently working will keep their jobs. Hopefully, one day that will transfer into a better working environment. You should care about the air we all breathe as well.
Do you know what “clean coal” even is. This technology is unobtainable. Taking all the emmisions from coal plants and putting the CO2 in underground caverns? Get a clue.
Global warming is nothing but a method to drive us all back to the Stone Age.
gien,
I almost fell out my chair laughing at your absurd comments. Really, you do not believe your own logic do you? I hope not. Let me finish laugh. Whew!!! How do you figure that other people get your earnings when what you make goes into your pocket instead of to Uncle Sam? That is reaching and grasping at straws.
Man I love you guys, all of you keep me amused!!
Have a great day!!
MT Griz,
In that case, I guess the current owners possibly will have plenty of work and job security for the next 4yrs.
At least we will not further pollute the air.
I don’t think the average Obama voter will get it while sitting around in the dark still waiting for their “hope and change”. The change Obama is talking about has nothing to do with people, it has to do with US government structure.
@Chris-n-San Jose “Why would you try to cram voting into one day if you do not have to? Common sense must prevail at some point.”
like the “one” advertised take the day off!
BTW with regard to your comment that Americans are wasteful, they tend to have short attention spans and can be intensely LAZY.
suck it up, wait in line, it may foster some character.
They are withholding Palin’s medical records because they show she is not the birth mother of Trig and they are worried that will cause a scandal.
We most definitely need McCain/Palin in Office
Shouldn’t listen to any of the liberals rats
they are under Obama’s thumb…
just like the media – whom only releases things like about Obama wanting to bankrupt the coal industry.
We don’t need a liberal supermajority
without checks and balances.
They’ll be able to alter the constitution
as Obama has already mentioned doing so.
and since they’ll control all sides…
They will be able to easily do it.
This will leave most people at the mercy of a powerful and unrestrained MEGA-GOVERNMENT
We fought a civil war against England
To do the opposite – if you wanted a MEGA-GOVERNMENT we should of stayed as colonies under English rule.
Independents and voters unite!!!!
Keep our nation strong and free.
