I have a couple of kids the same age, and I have also gotten shocked by a pulsing electric fence. If my kids had come home telling me they were on someone else’s property messing with their property, I would tell them it serves them right and would probably laugh at them…. unless I was the socialist that put them up to it. A 9 year old boy doesnt switch campaign signs for fun. It isnt a prank when it is done repeatedly. Admittedly, it’s a bad neighbor who boobytraps his yard. And the adult who put this 9 year old child up to robbery and vandalism is a bad parent. The bad parenting is probably going to be worse for the child in the long run.

This was done locally to me. The father of the boy that was zapped yelled and screamed at the 13 year old daughter of the man who wired up this sign. The father was making excuses for his boy.
This is the lesson learned:
Liberal lesson: An Obama supporter boy trying to steal a McCain sign gets zapped. It’s the fault of the zapper. The boy was innocent, there is nothing wrong with stealing. Liberal boys dad YELLS and SCREAMS at the young daughter of the zapper.
Republican Lesson: (Turn it around – say a republican boy was attempting to steal an Obama sign) The Republican boys father would drag the boy kicking and screaming over to the zappers house and MAKE the boy apologize for trying to steal the sign.

Reminds me of when my daughter was only five and very,very petite. An immigrant boy threw a rock at her and hit her in the face with it, making a huge gash down her cheek. I went to his house and his liberal mother said “well, what did your daughter do or say to make my son throw a rock at her?” He was TWELVE- she was FIVE. Her and a friend got in his way while he was skeateboarding, they were pushing doll buggies down the sidewalk. To say I was furious would be an understatement. However, when the boy’s father came home he marched his son over and made him apologize. THE KID WAS TERRIFIED OF MY HUSBAND-WHO IS 6′4″ and while he was at our door, our ossicillating sprinkler kept hitting him in the back. My point is-his liberal mother typically blamed the victim, while the more conservative father made his son take responsibility.
