CNN’s King: ‘Whining’ Media ‘Out of Touch’ on Election Coverage

"I think there’s some very legitimate criticism that we did not treat all of the candidates in the Democratic race, but particularly the top two or three equally, because of the Clinton obsession in the national media."

Eileen for McCain/Palin   October 27th, 2008 - 6:12 pm

The problem started with this election when the puppeteers of the socialist/communistic “new” Democratic party…Kerry and Kennedy pushed through a man who they had not vetted and has not to this day been vetted.

The media can use the excuse about Hillary all they want…even Hillary brought up things that were questionable in his past…the biased media didn’t do anything to research those items and it had nothing to do with Hillary preventing them from doing so

So now it is a little too late…because you have given credibility to a man we don’t know anything about. He has lied repeatedly about his past, and continues to lie to the American people. They are now foolishly going out and supporting him because of “your” support and bias of him.

I suppose if our country goes socialist…like we all believe…you will be to blame!

VOTER REVOLUTION HERE AND NOW!

GOD BLESS AMERICA THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE…MAY OUR GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS OUR GREAT COUNTRY AS WE LOOK TO HIM FOR GUIDANCE

lala   October 27th, 2008 - 6:14 pm

This guy is a complete tool. There’s no question that he’s in the tank for Obama and it shows. He’s not a journalist he’s a hack for the democrats.

Hickok   October 27th, 2008 - 6:39 pm

He readily admits “His Media” was in the tank for Hillary, but won’t go near the issue of whether “His Media” is in the tank for The Annointed Messiah.” Typical obfuscating, pettifogging, equivocating h omo. RIGHT ON, EILEEN GIRL !!!!

Lee   October 27th, 2008 - 6:42 pm

One question for John King: “How the hell would you like to have the media attack your daughter in an attempt to destroy you?”

(If you have a daughter and you’d think she’s “fair game” I’d suggest she find another father!)

Nic   October 27th, 2008 - 6:50 pm

Yes, the “technology explosion” has given the people the chance to see through your incredible BS. And we do. Bigtime.

demdicks   October 27th, 2008 - 6:57 pm

I don’t even want to hear about these a-holes doing investigative pieces and asking tough questions AFTER the election. It won’t matter anymore, I will still ignore the MSM for as long as it exists, the short time that may be.

rachel61   October 27th, 2008 - 7:04 pm

I watched the Democratic Rules Committee reach into the ballot box and take votes duly cast for Sen.Hillary Clinton in the MI primary and give them to Senator Obama . The only mention I heard was from Lou Dobbs. If I were a MI voter I would have been incensed …as an American I was very upset. We needed Pres.Carter to monitor that election. I did not hear Mr.King raise the issue but even at that point the media was another arm of the Obama campaign. YOU can’t fool everyone all the time, Mr.King. We “common folks” are intelligent also. You have not vetted Senator Obama …you are so intent on the election of an Afro-American you have lost your North Star..thus your integrity. Your candidate might win but that does not make you winners.

joseph   October 27th, 2008 - 7:23 pm

Where does CNN and the leftist find the talking heads, the ones so slanted for the Messiah. How many rocks do you have to turn over, so they can crawl out. King, Mc Cafferty, Brown, Blitzer, just to name a few, and thank God Glenn Beck came to his senses, and praise Lou Dobbs, a man with a brain and a set of cahonies, you all wish you could have, and that Sunday morning terrorist looking Zacharaia, or however you spell it, so sad, i used to watch CNN all the time, no wonder Fox is number one, I hope Osama raises your taxes, till you squeal, like a pig with lipstick, and his tribe, burns you to the ground, and it will happen.

Goldilocks   October 27th, 2008 - 7:29 pm

It is interesting that there are still people out there who complain about “not enough known about Barack Obama” How much do you know about Sarah Palin?
Did you know that she served William Kristol and Fred Barnes and Michael Gerson halibut cheeks for lunch at the Governor’s Mansion on June 18, 2007? (Halibut cheeks are the delicacy, the most desired expensive portion of the fish) Now how does the little plain girl from Wasilla who “suddenly” appeared on the scene in September of 2008 at the convention to all the whooping and hollering ,how does she explain those halibut cheeks in the Governor’s mansion let alone entertaining members of the media for lunch one year earlier?! Read the story, ask questions get to know Sarah a little better before you start canonizing her and damning Obama.
You people need to spend more time getting to know your candidate. She is one tough cookie who has been looking at the White House for a long time. And John McCain should be grateful he probably will not have to keep looking over his shoulder in the WH keeping track of her whereabouts. Dicey Dicey.

Puleeeeazz.   October 27th, 2008 - 7:43 pm

The media’s only hope for survival is liberal control, if they lose, it’s over… for them and their nonsense. Over -I say. If your socialist wonder wins, then it’s over for America.
Mark my words. OVER

Lou   October 27th, 2008 - 7:49 pm

Thank God Glen Beck is coming to CNN. He needs to give them a dose of reality. It wouldn’t be a bad idea if Limbaugh was invited to the team as well to help offset all the commie commentators currently in this “news” organization, but they couldn’t afford him. The CNN “News” here now is only socialist propaganda. You can bet the only show I will watch on this network is Beck.

Hickok   October 27th, 2008 - 8:18 pm

Goldi-Moron,
Yeah that’s awful, halibut cheeks. Incredible that you wasted 30 seconds with that insightful bit of info that will change people’s minds. How about The Messiah spending $400,000 of taxpayers money for visits to Hawaii? Pales in comparison to Palin’s clothing expenditures, which will be donated to charity soon. And his most recent trip to Hawaii was to see his dying Granny, who he once said ran across the street when she saw a black man, and that it was “A typical white person’s response.” Now he loves her, hahahahahaha. I hope he wore caucasian camoflage last week, so as to not frighten her to death…YOU HYPOCRITICAL MORON….

Cracker   October 27th, 2008 - 8:30 pm

The Cracker vote will prevail. Count on it.

The Light Cometh   October 27th, 2008 - 9:14 pm

He can lie with such skill, grace and aplomb…

3DOGMAN   October 27th, 2008 - 9:16 pm

Seems the COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK is now doing some soul searching that should have taken place long before we arrived at this point.

After this election,I hope they can still find a job because the MSM has lost the support/viewership of the American people.

Enjoy your ride to the bottom of the barrel, you earned it.

Stan   October 27th, 2008 - 9:19 pm

Glen Beck will be going to Fox news at 5 PM E, not CNN.

Gregus Scottus   October 27th, 2008 - 9:20 pm

Skillful misdirection. This guy’s a magician.

Mary   October 27th, 2008 - 9:23 pm

I got something entirely different from this interview. First I think they have fallen badly in the ratings. Second I think someone there at CNN has taken a good look, for the first time, at B. Obama and said” Holy Shite” Maybe there is something to all the rumors. And then you had Barbara West asking Biden, for the first time, some hard questions, and the Obama Camp refused to do anymore interviews..Real journalists might be a little concerned over the limitations of news reorting. Unfortunately it’s too late..they are doomed. And so are we if Obama gets in. And it is all because of them..the news media. I would never trust CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC..none of them again. ONLY FOX NEWS !!!!!

Gregus Scottus   October 27th, 2008 - 9:27 pm

Goldilocks,

The Mothership is calling. You better not miss the flight.

>>>Now how does the little plain girl from Wasilla who “suddenly” appeared on the scene in September of 2008 at the convention to all the whooping and hollering ,how does she explain those halibut cheeks in the Governor’s mansion…<<< The Alaska governor’s mansion employs a chef, you moron – that’s how. Do you think a President selects what to serve at a state dinner? Jeez. No wonder libs go for Obama big time. They are so out of touch with how the real world works.

cow pie   October 27th, 2008 - 11:43 pm

this is a total load of BS
Hillary brought up some of the same issues during the primary; not touched.

Oh and now were in the general election and your reporting on important things like Palin’s wardrobe!

Journalism is DEAD

frank3108   October 28th, 2008 - 12:28 am

As my dear old dad used to say these guys are a day late and a dollar short. They think by coming out of the closet a week before the election and admit to media worship of Obama is going to make it all right they are wrong. The media is losing readers and viewers in droves and just wait till after the election. The MSM network news will disappear in the ratings. They should be made to pay the price that even liberals understand. MONEY. TURN OFF YOUR TV. THAT INCLUDES NEWS, PRIMETIME SHOWS AND EVERYTHING ELSE YOU CAN BEAR INCLUDING THE PRINT MEDIA. Make them pay for what they have done to this country. We may be about to elect a Marxist president and congress.

JimmiP   October 28th, 2008 - 12:49 am

Halibut cheeks? OMG, you might like to know that Halibut are found local to the North Pacific and they all have cheeks so it’s not exactly Iranian caviar. As a matter of fact goldilocks, you and the bears can have Alaskan Halibut cheeks flown to your cottage in the woods for less than $25 per pound, alot less than having lobster delivered by room service.

NoParty   October 28th, 2008 - 7:53 am

Each day a new questionable association of Sen. Obama’s comes out into the open….each time he denies knowing that person more than in passing. Now the PLO agent who currently indoctrinates the students at Columbia, is exposed as a friend he routinely had dinner with, yet Sen. Obama, with a straight face, says he barely knew him….and you, his followers, believe it…hook line and sinker.
For those who think Obama is feeling his way, is on a Presidential learning curve, I suggest he knows exactly what he is doing, and that is scarier to me than thinking he is inexperienced. For this, we owe the Media….what arrogant fools they are.

Anita   October 28th, 2008 - 8:53 am

King has the ‘audacity’ to suggest there are enough news sources available to the public that the MSM doesn’t have a responsibility to vet ALL candidates; expose the underbelly of their associations; or the value,(or lack of value), in their policies. So, should the MSM be guaranteed the same rights under the First Amendment to distort the news as a political tactic to favor candidates as the media that chooses to act as the constitutional authors intended? Apparently, yes. Exercise Caution in your choice of politicians and news sources.
