I’m a Born Again Christian. I do not hide from the fact. I’m still friends with a guy whom I grew up with. He happens to be gay. I’m on friendly terms with his spouse. I wasn’t invited to the wedding, not because I was being slighted, but because he didn’t want to put me in an untenable position. He has friends who know who I am and my position on marriage. He takes alot of grief from his more radical associates who refer to me as “The Breeder” or the “Fundi”. He just didn’t want to make people on both sides uncomfortable.

I respect and honor that.

We’ve discussed the issue, and we agree to disagree.

My position is that “Marriage” is the realm of the Church. God’s word does not condone homosexuality. God does not advocate that we, as Believers, harm homosexuals.

I think that the State has every right to join people in “Civil Unions”. I think that gay people have every right to be joined in a civil ceremony, and that this union be recognized and held valid by all people.

However, this union should not be called a “marriage” since it was not performed by the Church.

If people on both sides of the isle in this fight would learn to respect each other, and their traditions, I think things would be better for all.

Well, it sure looks like none of their neighbors’ signs are missing. As for trying to stay “below the radar”, I would guess (if my gay neighbors are any guide) that making out next to your car on the street counts that way too.

It is true and has been long recognized that people who deface their own bodies with TATOOS have psychological/emotional problems, problems with AUTHORITY FIGURES, and are basically self-haters who want to get IN YOUR FACE.
