Let’s reverse that…a heart provides life..So then, when does life begin? I say, without a doubt, at least at 5 weeks……So you make the choice.

What I read is Obama speculating about the position that some doctors might find themselves in. He makes no statement about his own position what so ever. And he offers no solution in this speculation.
Having access to the FULL conversation in which his remark was made is necessary to make that determination.

In addition, Abortion vs Pro-Life is is a divisive issue tossed into the ring purposefully during elections when one party believes they need an emotionally charged distraction to sway the vote in their favor.

This isn’t liberalism, and this isn’t even pro-choice. It is pro-abortion.

I have been leaning Obama but I have heard some stuff about his votes on abortion.

I didn’t really think much of it but this has forced me to make a descion.

I will not be voting for him next month.

I regret voting for him in the primary.

I have a catholic friend who will vote for Obama despite the abortion issue. She feels strongly for her choice despite her catholic faith and will not discuss the issue despite many of us who point out O’s position on Abortions.

It’s a pretty sorry excuse for a human being who can be in favor of letting a living baby lie there and die and not even try to do anything.

Yes the baby suffocates because its lungs aren’t fully developed but that is only without treatment. We are talking late term abortions here. Many babies are born very early in the process and survive. A friend of mine had her baby at 5 months and she is 12 now!! Kind of throws out the “lump of tissue” arguement doesn’t it?

Did anyone think to stop and ask *where* this audio came from? Is there a second source/corroboration of it – secondary evidence anywhere? In what *context* was the statement made – was it a recap of arguments made *by others* against having two doctors in attendance; was it an argument given by a doctor that was being retold to an audience of lawmakers; was it the candidate’s personal opinion?

*Where* was this audio made; *when* was it made; in *what* context was it made? Without knowing -and being able to corroborate – even those basics, the question comes up: *who* is speaking? Yes, it *sounds* like Sen. O’s voice, but…is it? Without knowing when it was made, and where, there’s no telling if it *is* him or if it is someone else. Yes, that would make a difference.

*Anything* can be snipped out of a larger conversation and be made to appear totally different than what the original statement/conversation was. It amazes me that people go off on indignant rages about what they’ve “heard” (or *think* they’ve heard) without bothering to find out first if they are being handed a load of biased, loaded, bs or not. With no, I repeat, NO, way to check the origin of this audio clip…

Think, people, think. If the “information” you get is legit – get legitimately riled up about it. If the “info” you get is bogus, start venting your spleen over the people who pass on the bogus crap… Before you get all indignant and/or defensive; Think!

It is a bit hard to hear the tape clearly, but it sounds like he did NOT say:
“is really designed simply to burden the original decision of the woman and the *physician* to induce labor and perform an abortion.”

Sounds like he said, “and the *DECISION* to induce labor and perform an abortion.”

Possibly a critical difference in interpretation of his remarks and intent, depending on which word Obama said.

Some above remarks seem to be insinuating that Obama is trying to protect Abortionist Doctors with his remarks/vote. Sounds like, instead, he is DOING WHAT HE SAID HE WAS DOING: TRYING TO PROTECT THE *DECISION* OF THE WOMAN INVOLVED, which is what our present laws allow and are supposed to do! -> PROTECT A WOMAN’S RIGHT TO *DECIDE* WHAT TO DO IF SHE BECOMES PREGNANT!

If anyone has PROOF that Obama said PHYSICIAN and NOT DECISION, please post it here.

Maybe that tape was “doctored” to make the word DECISION sound like PHYSICIAN? (You can do just about anything nowadays with high-tech electronics and editing software.) Sounds like the beginning of the word has an “F” sound, but second part of the word is “CISION” pronounced SIZZYUN, not “SICIAN” pronounced ZISHUN.

Are these guys who hate Obama REALLY this desperate and sneaky as to go around doctoring tapes in hopes of swaying people’s passions?

We have legitimate questions and concerns about Obama: His past and present alliances with terrorists, his extreme socialist and marxist views, the statements he has made, waffled on, and subsequently repudiated, and his refusal to grant medical assistance to a fetus fighting for life. It is not racist to ask a candidate for the Presidency to address these issues, but without Obama truthfully and fully responding, there is no way he can be considered trustworthy enough to be the leader of this nation. He has exhibited nothing in his campaign to give any indication he would be no more than a rookie, entry-level applicant with a gift for public speaking.
