I’m sorry. This is ridiculous. How about showing a terrorist with an Obama button? Better yet, make it a black Muslim terrorist. Better yet, have him strapped with explosives and ready to board a school bus packed with Israeli children.
That’s how irresponsible this is.

And please don’t roll your eyes and say, “It’s a spoof, moron. Get a life.”

This is not a spoof. It’s treason. It’s juvenile. It’s sick.

FOX, PLEASE AXE THIS SHOW.

Bill   October 20th, 2008 - 8:32 am

That bastard Seth McFarland is the true nazi here… no hate like liberal hate! Tactics like this would make Goerbles proud!

yeah   October 20th, 2008 - 9:06 am

This was one of the funniest episodes in recent memory. And Brian you don’t have to get a life, just a sense of humor.

J. Stalin   October 20th, 2008 - 9:10 am

You laugh NOW, or we send you to gulag for “re-education”. Your resistence is causing great concern for “party of the people”.

Mac-101   October 20th, 2008 - 9:13 am

I agree with Brian in his first part. Terrorist and repressive regiumes around the world have made their preference known for Sen Obama. As for censoring shows and speach, that’s what the super LIbs do. If Americans are too stupid and are led by the Media to support there own destruction so be it. Times are going to get a lot WORSE before they get better!

Derek   October 20th, 2008 - 9:14 am

Brian, I agree. If this show would just be itself and not try to push this liberal viewpoint, I actually find it somewhat funny. This is completely unnecessary and childish. We all know Seth Macfarlane is a socialist liberal, but does he have to keep alienating part of his audience with this crap? Maybe it’s time to let this show go..

Sara in VA   October 20th, 2008 - 9:18 am

First they “spooof”, then they point fingers, then they come for a “visit” to your house.

Funny, ha ha. Only 1/2 the country’s laughing.

OmniBob   October 20th, 2008 - 9:58 am

I’m a proud McCain-Palin supporter, and I laughed out loud when I saw that last night. Of course, I recognize that Obama would never be mocked in this way, but that does not mean that we have to react like Obama and his bots would, if the tables were turned.

Mike   October 20th, 2008 - 10:02 am

The Nazis, Castro, Stalin, Mussolini were all leftist, “progressive” socialists. People who don’t learn from the past, repeat the past.

OOPPss   October 20th, 2008 - 10:09 am

This is just marketing to the buyers. Liberals sit at home, watch cartoons, and want what the other half of the world has while those that don’t watch this drivel are out working for theirs, spending “quality time” with their families, or just enriching their own opinions/ideas thru credible media.

Andrew   October 20th, 2008 - 10:30 am

lmao classic.

Neal E   October 20th, 2008 - 10:31 am

…And with the completion of a new Family Guy in the can, Seth set out for the voting both to vote for…The Socialist.

Bugsy   October 20th, 2008 - 10:34 am

Gee…never would have guessed that the writers of a show like Family Guy would be liberals. Is this supposed to be news?

What next? The Pope is a closet Catholic? OMG

sean   October 20th, 2008 - 10:37 am

What are the similarities of the current Republican Party and Nazism?
- Racism and Xenophobia
- Scare Tactics and scape-goating
- Militarism
- Attacks on the intelligentsia
- A chauvinistic, expansionist foreign policy
- Violations of civil liberties
- Extra-judicial internment camps
- Anti-communist, anti-socialist and anti-liberal
- Deutschland über alles = County First
- Reactionary and ultra-right wing

It's Me!   October 20th, 2008 - 10:45 am

Laugh now folks! Enjoy the humor. That’s what they did in Cuba about 50 years ago. Castro promised change and hope. Look what they have now. Anyone interested in immigrating there?

OBAMA IS A SOCIALIST! And that always leads to NO GOOD.

sean's an idiot   October 20th, 2008 - 11:01 am

You’ve been well propogandized, Sean. It’s liberals guilty of the very thing you accuse:

Stifling debate
Shouting down speakers
Blacklisting conservative artists
Beating McCain supporters with sticks
Failure to recognize: Blacks,Women,Scientists,People of faith, etc. unless they also happen to be liberal
Redefining words such as “patriotic” “mainstream” “marriage”

Orwell’s only mistake was identifying who would bring about “1984″: liberals

if   October 20th, 2008 - 11:05 am

Family guy is marketed to adolescent mentalities. The ironic thing is the lefties in this election cycle have showed their NAZI like intolerance to any dissenting view, the obama camp sent out TRUTH SQUADS to intimidate any thing they saw as inflammatory towards their messiah. Liberal democrats have shown they cannot have even a shred of civility and have taken on the role of the new Nazi party in America.

Iczer   October 20th, 2008 - 11:06 am

Taking issue with poster “Sean”:

- Racism and Xenophobia
(1) If you mean “opposed to affirmative action,” say so.

- Scare Tactics and scape-goating
(2) As if there are no jihadis who seek to destroy America. Nope! Just a figment of our imaginations!

- Militarism
(3) Well, a country kinda does need a military to provide security. And we’re supposed to curse and belittle such people (who voluntarily step up to the plate) WHY?

- Attacks on the intelligentsia
(4) Well, the intelligentsia routinely insults us, so yeah…

- A chauvinistic, expansionist foreign policy
(5) Is Iraq a state yet?

- Violations of civil liberties
(6) Well, you’re still talking, and Hollywood is still busy cursing our military — and let’s not even get started on the universities.

- Extra-judicial internment camps
(7) Struck down by the Supreme Court.

- Anti-communist, anti-socialist and anti-liberal
(8) Anti-communist, you bet. But I hope you realize that the Nazis full name was not the “National Socialist German Workers’ Party” for nothing.

- Deutschland über alles = County First
(9) So, loving your homeland is equal to genocide. Whod’ve thunk.

- Reactionary and ultra-right wing
(10) If by that you mean, “we’re not all about self-esteem and equality of outcome,” then you’d be right. And also, what power do we have to chain women to the kitchen? Lastly, do you excuse similar faults in the terrorists?

For your edification:

jklonguras   October 20th, 2008 - 11:08 am

So if terrorists prefer Obama, then non-terrorist, freedom-enforcing, militaristic carpet-baggers should prefer McCain/Bush. What’s the issue exactly? Cartoons have been used to stir political thought, poke fun at presidents, popes, jews, blacks, nazis and the kkk, for centuries… let the children have their fun. The R side is already making a cartoon of their campaign, saying that O pals around with terrorists doggone it. Are you really so offended by stewie, the latent-homosexual baby that tried to kill his own mother and is intent on world domination? Or are you just angry about something else and want revenge on the word? Should we nuke Iraq to appease your bloodlust? Well – even your leaders will tell you if you could get close enough- to shut up, buy another washing machine, leave your suv running and stock up on everything disposable you can find at wallmart while they take care of battling for the worlds final oil supplies. Unless you want to really join the war effort and get blown up in a terrorist oil field… ignorance in not bliss, if you are not retarded and you live long enough you will see that one day…

hank ben alben   October 20th, 2008 - 11:11 am

Bush’s grandfather made some fine coin with the Nazis… and we too can make good money with the terrorists… the way israel makes cash by selling guns to their ‘enemies’ in gaza… Don’t you guys know? An awakening is due, a third party needed more than in any other time in history…

tduck   October 20th, 2008 - 11:12 am

… gee whiz , don’t worry folks , when the socialistic liberals pass the ‘ fairness doctrine ‘ half of Family Guy 30 mins. will be conservative .
… as Colin Powell said , it is not about race . ( it is about getting a job . )

… is robert byrd really still alive ?

SlowDown   October 20th, 2008 - 11:14 am

A portion of an message from pianist Huntley Brown (a fabulous concert pianist, a man of God and a black man) explaining why he won’t vote for Barack Obama.

“Why I Can’t Vote For Obama”, By Huntley Brown

“There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100% rating. There is a reason the homosexual community supports him. There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him. There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court. There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill. There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion. There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.”

R.J.   October 20th, 2008 - 11:17 am

BWA HA HA HA HA!!!! Truth hurts,eh? And on your own precious fascist channel. Who would have thunk that FOX would become part of the liberal media? And just think CONs, you’re going to have to deal with this for years to come. BWA HA HA HA HA !!!!!!!!

jklonguras   October 20th, 2008 - 11:22 am

HA HA HA HA HA – - is right! I always knew Goebles FOX channel would be taken over eventually by the liberal media. And now we might as well all just give up.

There is no fair and balanced media left in the country – we will have to go to Russia for that!

My how the tables have turned – what’s next? Oh my god don’t tell me – Universal Healthcare?!?!?!? god help us all…

Dinky Weiner   October 20th, 2008 - 12:05 pm

The GOP has completely failed. It will be a long time before your party will have any significance. Get ready to have a visionary bridge builder show you retards how to run a democracy. Palin is a caricature you right wing Nimrods. Enjoy the global recession your Village Idiots created.

MeNotYou   October 20th, 2008 - 12:11 pm

“”"”"yeah October 20th, 2008 – 9:06 am
This was one of the funniest episodes in recent memory. And Brian you don’t have to get a life, just a sense of humor.”"”"”

Stuff like this would be funny if it worked both ways… But hey, that would mean things would half to be “fair”. You know, where EVERYONE enjoys freedom of speech and the freedom to poke fun at ANYONE.

We have a sense of humor, you just won’t let us joke about your guys, without calling us raci$t.

Laugh it up people…. The age of insulting the president is coming to a close, unless of course McCain wins.

We all know “the one” will not be allowed to be made fun of in the future. And the same people that insisted making fun of Bush was their right to freedom of speech will DEMAND you respect the president.

I’m sure there’s going to be some “hate speech” law that will apply to only half the population…

Libs are treading on shaky ground if they think they will succeed in shutting up 150 million people.

Good luck with that.

Ben   October 20th, 2008 - 12:16 pm

Mike@10:02 — Mussolini and Hitler were fascists, not socialists. Fascism is at the extreme right hand side of the political spectrum. Only 1/2 credit for you today.

DM   October 20th, 2008 - 12:20 pm

Dinky you are completely stupid. This “global recession” was caused mainly by the Fannie/Freddie nightmare that is mainly the responsibility of DEMOCRATS. Barney FrAGnk and Chris Dodd are the main culprits, but the DEMOCRATS were the ones that pushed for these loans for people who obviously couldn’t afford them. We shall see if Obama gets elected how many of his “visionary” (i.e. socialist) policies are actually pushed through congress. My guess would be that either candidate will have their hands tied and America will be for all intents and purposes stagnant for at least a couple years, due to liberal loan policies…

mindinkawarrior   October 20th, 2008 - 12:21 pm

Dinky Weiner,You are so right. If the scary Black man that,s been called a muslim, terrorist, socialist and names I wont even post here get elected,I hope these racist and xenaphobics will leave the country so the rest us can continue to move toward a more inclusive and tolerate society

MeNotYou   October 20th, 2008 - 12:29 pm

Hey “Dinky”…

The global recession that you people are wishing for was created by the democrats and the help of some left wing republicans, (starting about 30 years ago and reinforced over and over again), forcing banks to give loans to people that normally wouldn’t qualify, but don’t let the truth get in the way of bashing republicans.

This was enforced by intimidation tactics of ACORN in the name of “we’ll brand you a raci$t if you don’t grant these people loans” (better known as affirmative action).

And, as you’re probably denying (or don’t care, which is sad), ACORN received over $800,000 by the Obama presidential campaign. Or you’ll probably say it doesn’t matter (like all the other shady dealings and associations “the one” has).

Research it (you probably won’t), and you’ll see the dems in their own words insist there was no problems with the financial state of the country. The same dems that were receiving money from these institutions – like Obama for instance.

I can just see you now watching the videos with your hands over your ears going “la la la la la la la la la la- I don’t hear you – la la la la la la la la”

I know, I know, it’s Bushs’ fault… blah blah blah…

R.J.   October 20th, 2008 - 12:32 pm

“Libs are treading on shaky ground if they think they will succeed in shutting up 150 million people.”

You can’t count the 75 million aborted fetuses, they are going to say a thing. An egg is not a chicken.

Adam   October 20th, 2008 - 12:37 pm

I love the pure venom spewing out of the left like how much you hate Palin or remember how much you hated Colin Powell when he worked for Bush?

Keep it up! It will push more voters toward our side than any endorsement ever could!

Rememember 1984, Reagan 525 – Mondale 13, and Mondale was ahead going into the election.. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings!

Craig in Vienna   October 20th, 2008 - 12:59 pm

Unbelievable, imagine if they did that to an Obama supporter but made him a terrorist or a criminal, there would be outrage…

One more reason I will never vote for Obama, f*** Hollywood, and f*** the liberal media, and yes I do have a sense of humor, and that is just not funny

Mark   October 20th, 2008 - 1:08 pm

I agree with OmniBob. I’m a McCain/Palin supporter, but I think I remember laughing a little bit when I watched that last night. While I laughed, I also thought how this type of political statement would never be allowed against the “tolerant” types on the left.

You know, there’d be threats and outcries, etc.

ReCon USMC   October 20th, 2008 - 1:57 pm

The FAMILY GUYS SHOULD BE DRESSED LIKE MAO , STALIN OR CASTRO ALL SOCIALIST/MARXIST THUGS WITH A OBAMA / BUTTON ON HIS CHEST …. THAT WOULD BE FAR MORE FITTING .AFTER ALL OBAMA IS A DEVOUT SOCIALIST FEW WOULD QUESTION EVEN ON THE LEFT .
SOCIALISM LEADING TO MARXISM IS ONLY A BABY STEP AWAY !

Sean the Bolshevik spews:
- Racism and Xenophobia

Da komrades! In teh New Soviet Order, races will be eliminated to perfect the love of the Proletariate for the All-Powerful State… of the People, of course!

- Scare Tactics and scape-goating
“Liberal” goon squads are the only goon squads as a matter of history. As a republican (not the party, you oafish clown), I believe in something quite different from your brutish mind.

- Militarism
People’s Liberation Armies, anyone?

- Attacks on the intelligentsia
You need to read Gulag Archipelago and a histroy of Lenin/Mao/Pol Pot before you burn them, next time.

- A chauvinistic, expansionist foreign policy
Yeah, I love my people and my land because they are my blood relatives and ancestors and they left me a great gift. You hate them because your ancestors were peasants in The Old Country too incompetent to do anything except come to America with their hands out, begging.

- Violations of civil liberties
That PC Speech Code on campus: from the Young Republicans? LOL you’re a blind fool, aren’t you?

- Extra-judicial internment camps
FDR, my ignorant Peasant, was … a… DEMOCRAT.

- Anti-communist, anti-socialist and anti-liberal
First off, you haven’t a clue what “liberal” means. As to the Commies, you defend 100,000,000 murders or more? You are why I own and will use firearms. See you in 4377

- Deutschland über alles = County First
More Bolshevism from the Wandering Jews and serfs we stupidly allowed here 100 years ago.

- Reactionary and ultra-right wing
More clueless, WWII-era USSR propaganda from the time when, if you can believe it, the SOVIETS WERE OUR ALLY. Good Lord, that was an error in judgment that is incomprehensible and the root cause of our present woes.

See you Red freaks in a very hot place. Just go ahead and give me an excuse.

Rusty   October 20th, 2008 - 2:43 pm

You Rush Lumpless fanatics need to get your heads outta Rush’s fat ass. You’re too desperate so you see attacks everywhere – McCain is the TRUE traitor and his campaign has ALREADY failed. Give up and get used to it. Obama’s gonna win then you can whine all you want.

One of the greatest episodes ever…….Funny and True……..Funny and True.

Slappy   October 20th, 2008 - 4:52 pm

Reputard: “One of the greatest episodes ever……..Funny and True……..Funny and True”

Really? So repeating that it’s “Funny and True” twice somehow makes what you’re saying correct? “One of the greatest episodes ever”? Why, because of this one scene? Talk about overstating one’s case simply to get under the skin of your fellow Americans. The show is a lot funnier when it stays away from politics.

Neither political party in the U.S. has supported policies like the Nazis and to continue to use this analogy as slander against Republicans is sad and pathetic, especially since there are elderly Republicans that actually fought against the Nazis and others that are Jewish that lost relatives in the Holocaust or are survivors themselves. Disagreeing with each politically is what happens in a democracy. But slander like this is hateful and childish and an embarrassment to our country.

For those of you actually supporting and agreeing with this scene (and this is coming from a now former fan of “The Family Guy”), just ask yourself how you would feel if the scene was changed so that instead of Nazis, it was members of al-Qaeda or even bin Laden himself and instead of a McCain/Palin button, it was an Obama/Biden button. You know you’d complain and react angrily and I would completely understand why. After all, it’s hard enough for the McCain/Palin camp to criticize Obama’s actions and policies without being called racists. Maybe if you think about that alternate scene you can understand why McCain/Palin supporters are upset about this ridiculous slander.

Perhaps if Seth MacFarlane ostracizes enough of his audience with these types of displays that show a complete lack of class and self-control, “The Family Guy” will be canceled once again.

[...] Ben Smith, momentarily veering away from the media’s “Family Guy” narrative, the American News Project captures a vignette from the pogrom that wasn’t. [...] [...]

Oh Bill…Bill…..

Im sorry you didnt find it funny. I sure DID!

If you want to find people making up lies like that about Obama?
Turn on Fox News. Read Breitbart!
My God! I used to get emails from righties calling Chelsea Clinton! names I cannot repeat!
So please!……….

I never imagined Repubs were so thin-skinned and humorless!

and BTW, Bill?

Its Goebbels, not ‘Goerbels’.
And believe me sir, Karl Rove worships him!

Seems that Seth McFarlane has traded humor for his flaming liberal credentials, homophobic themes, and a bitter hatred of the handicapped.

This show has not been funny since it was re-instated.

Thomas   October 21st, 2008 - 7:45 am

I didn’t take offense at the McCain/Palin button on the Nazi uniform because the joke was lame and overdone. If this were the first time a “Republicans are Nazis” reference was made, it might have been funny, but after the 50 billionth time, it’s lost its punch. It’s boring, cheap, and way too easy for someone of McFarland’s comedic talents.

DaveDayton   October 21st, 2008 - 8:14 am

It comes as no surprise to use alternative media to score political points (problem solved with the fairness doctrine – ask Pelosi). The Dayton Daily News once moved “Dilbert” to the business section as it was not appropriate for the comics section.

Oddly, Doonsbury has always remained a staple of the Dayton Daily News comic section to ensure most eyes would see it. It should be put on the OP-ED pages.

Dog Faced Boy   October 21st, 2008 - 9:19 am

You can see how truly blind and stupid Seth is in the scene before the McCain button scene where Stewie asks Brian why we didn’t invade Berlin to get their WMDs and Brian says “maybe because Berlin didn’t have any oil?”. I really can’t believe that someone is still spewing that tired old line in public. 6 years later, where’s our oil you stupid libs? If we went in there for oil, don’t you think we would have it by now? You want to see Nazi, wait till obama gets elected and the taxman comes a knockin and he signs off on the “fairness” doctrine. Thats democracy?

Dog Faced Boy   October 21st, 2008 - 9:21 am

By the way, big fan of the show, they should stick to funny schticks like the “Bird is the word” stuff and lay off the Jesus, God and Republican bashing. Its very off-putting to all except the angry angry left.

FlamingLib   October 21st, 2008 - 2:09 pm

So this is how ‘the right’ responds to free speech? Let me clue you in. Protected speech is offensive speech. If it were offensive to no one, why would it need protecting. Now go forth and be glad that you are P.O. by your protected rights. I want to see one where Obama is ACTUALLY sitting down for tea with Osama and the Dinnerjacket guy. Now thats comedy.
