Additionally, it seems he lost it when the collective term “government” was inflicted because his father was a lifer bureacrat and I’m sure his father came home from his guaranteed lifetime position and complained how hard he worked, leaving a lasting impression on Black, the younger. DEMOCRATS, believing in BIG GOVERNMENT, forced — yes, FORCED — lending institutions to lend mortgages to people who would otherwise not qualify because of their finances. These Democrats gave these banks QUOTAS on the number of such loans they had to give.

THIS IS WHY YOU SAW ALL THE ADVERTISING FOR SUBPRIME MORTGAGES — companies faced stiff fines from BIG GOVERNMENT if they didn’t meet these quotas.

Is everybody following so far?

So…the crap finally hits the fan with subprime, and, what do you know? BARNEY FRANK and friends have the nerve to blame deregulation and the conservative ideology of small government.

This, after McCain and Bush (yes, BUSH) repeatedly (something like 17 TIMES) asked the BIG GOVERNMENT-BELIEVING DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED CONGRESS to exercise oversight with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in this past year alone.

But every time REPUBLICANS tried to get DEMOCRATS to act responsibly in this matter, Barney Frank et al. said there wasn’t a problem — and did NOTHING.

And now…here we are.

On a different note, last night I was thinking about felons not being able to vote – at least it robs the Republicans of the felon vote as well, so what’s the problem?

Government workers don’t set the policy and yes some work hard while others use it as a worker program for welfare. My uncle worked for the MTA and hired an Hispanic woman, his African American boss told him “We only hire minorities”, When he said “She is a minority”, the boss said “Not the right kind of minority”. Something needs to be done about that….or does it?

Government caused this and the people in the government who had the most responsibility are easily identified if you really want to see–Dodd and Frank head the list and there are plenty of others as well, both Republicans and Dems. Mark, Dayum Right is correct. In your opinion attacking Iraq strengthened Iran. We have always had problems with Iran for decades. Iran would have become stronger even without the war with Iraq. So don’t use the war as an excuse. But the fact is that Obama’s close friend, Jesse Jackson, is claiming that Obama as President will distance the US from Israel.

Obama will now say that Jesse Jackson was never a “close” friend and that Jackson doesn’t speak for my campaign. This is what Obama does all the time. When a fact comes out about Obama he always says that he didn’t know how that person was, he was never close to that person, etc.

This is a pattern for Obama. I don’t understand the American people who choose to vote for Obama can not see this pattern. I thought the American people were smart but I guess not.

The MSM is doing everything possible not to let the truth of that get out before the election. They rely on maintaining the false impression that Obama is better able to fix this mess by obscuring his role in creating it as a community organizer shaking down banks that didn’t make enough sub-prime loans to comply with the CRA. Lewis Black is sometimes quite funny and sometimes makes biting witty observations, but he is, like Jon Stewart and Bill Maher, quite muddled on questions of politics and questions of religion, and their shared ethnicity is a matter of particular embarrassment to less muddled Jews.

My son was deployed last Xmas and got to see Lewis Black at a USO show along with Robin Williams,Kid Rock and Lance Armstrong. He said Lewis Black was by far funnier than Robin Williams and got the longest ovation of any of them.
