Who wants to bet that this was used in a crime and some wise guy criminal thought they were getting rid of it? (Not that it matters–the police will never even examine the thing.)

This toy was probably made in the “Republic of the Ant People” (China). don’t you know that China is our friend, providing us with lead painted toys and contaminated food? They really should appreciate us considering that the Clinton administration gave them improved guidance technology for their nuclear missles in exchange for DNC campaign funds.

The obvious guess would be that the toy was made by prisoners, since that shank undoubtedly looks like a make-shift prison weapon.

It’s probably no big deal, it certainly was not stashed by a prisoner, or a “wise guy” criminal, it looks more like a “home made” box cutter, which is extremely common in off shore factories. This was certainly careless, but not a criminal conspiracy. Or, it was Bush’s fault!

I wonder how much money they want.

And I agree with Ralph, it is probably a homemade tool used in the factory where this was made, it could be a de-burring tool, or have any number of uses, the only person who would call this a ’shank’ is someone begging for attention.

Sadly, I’m sure she will come away richer for the horrible experience of finding a piece of metal wrapped in black tape.

Remember when knives were considered tools and not weapons? This is a “homemade” tool used by some Chinese factory worker to trim plastic parts. The blade only looks to be a few centimeters long. Probably not a conspiracy; the poor worker is probably wondering where she left the darn thing.
