I am a retired Air Force Lt Col who lived through several years of Merrill McPeak being Chief of Staff. He was bar none the most hated 4-star officer in Air Force history..an arrogant, borderline psycho who denigrated anyone not a pilot, and whose bozo-born slash-and-burn reorganizations set the tone for the nuclear ‘mistakes’ plastered over today’s news. Most Air Force personnel can name their current Chief of Staff, and that’s about it. This character…14 years after his tenure, people still spit at the mention of his name. And he’s a senior member of Obama’s campaign? And a not-so closet anti-Semite to boot..well, that’s not surprising. I have little doubt this douchebag will be rewarded with a SecAF or SedDef appointment.

That said, for some strange reason, a lot of Jews (still) support Obama. But putting that aside for a moment, why should you as a non-Jew care about Israel?
Probably because that microscopic country has contributed enormously to your well being, in almost every technology, medical and artistic sense imaginable.

The reason this has not happened in the past is not because of Israel. It has not happened in the past because every hundred years or so when Islam tried it the European countries killed as many of them as they could as fast as they could and convinced them it was not a good option. Things calmed down until the next generation had to relearn the lesson again.

Barack Obama’s newly appointed Muslim outreach adviser is coming under fire for meeting with Islamic groups with extremist views, just two months after her predecessor resigned over links to a radical cleric.
Minha Husaini met with members of several Islamic organizations in Virginia on September 15 — including some that terrorism experts say have ties to Hamas and the radical Muslim Brotherhood.
Among the attendees were senior members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which was listed by federal prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in a terror-related trial.
Several people connected to CAIR have been convicted of felonies — including on terrorism-related charges.
CAIR bills itself as the nation’s largest Muslim civil-rights advocacy group. As recently as last year, it advised the Transportation Security Administration on sensitivity training regarding Muslim air travelers. Nihad Awad, a CAIR co-founder and executive director, met with President Bush in the aftermath of 9/11.
But critics say CAIR has a long history of masquerading as a moderate Islamic group.
“These groups, even if they themselves are not active terrorist organizations, do subscribe to large amounts of the ideology that fuels the terrorism that we are being confronted with,” said Andrew McCarthy, former Assistant U.S. Attorney.
CAIR did not return repeated calls for comment.
Awad, who was at the September meeting with Husaini, recently attended a dinner with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Also present at the Sept. 15 meeting was Mahdi Bray, who has publicly announced his support for the terrorist groups Hamas and Hezbollah. Bray, the executive director of the Muslim American Society Freedom Foundation, raised his fist in the air during a rally in Washington in October 2000 to demonstrate his support for the terror groups.
Bray refused to comment on the recent gathering. “It was a closed meeting,” he told FOX News.
Johari Abdul Malik, imam of the Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque in Falls Church, Va., also participated in the meeting. During a conference in Chicago in 2001, he told attendees, “You can blow up bridges, but you cannot kill people who are innocent on their way to work.” In November 2004 he told followers, “You will see Islam move from being the second largest religion in America — to being the first religion in America.”
Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said the campaign would not have sent a representative to the meeting had it known the list of participants.
“This meeting was not organized by the campaign — our outreach staff attends many meetings in the course of each day and they accepted an invitation from community leaders to attend,” LaBolt told FOX News in a written statement.
The Obama campaign’s previous Muslim outreach advisor, Mazen Asbahi — who stepped down in August following reports he was linked to a radical imam — also attended the meeting.
In a brief telephone conversation, Asbahi refused to discuss why he was at the meeting or whom he was representing.

I am black and I will not be voting for Obama. I have serveral friends who are Jewish. I find it ironic that Barack is against Israel in the light of the Jewish communities incredible support in helping black people achieve equal rights under the law. Go back 40 years or more. Who was the main group helping blacks achieve civil rights — the Jews. I’m not saying that everything Israel does is right — there are things that America does, Israel does and practically every other country on earth does that I don’t agree with. I certainly don’t think that Israel, America or any other country is perfect. However, that doesn’t mean that the people should be hurt in any way. It is our moral obligation to prevent another holocaust. The fact that Obama has been endorsed by Hamas, the President of Iran and others who think similarly should tell you all you need to know about him.

Yet ANOTHER thing against OBAMA. I have tried to be fair, I am a Democrat who voted for Obama in the prmaries, I am not Jewish and I am not black, but Hispanic. Since the economic crisis started, I looked to him to ensure calm and take a leadership position. I have to admit that during the primaries, I didn’t pay as much attention as we were soon to be moving to another state and that took up all of my time. Since then, I have tuned in a little more and I am dismayed by Obama. I waited for a solution to the economic crisis- so far I haven’t heard one from him except to blame Bush. His past associations with more than 5 extremely radical figures is deeply disturbing, but the bobbing and weaving is even worse. You are usually friends with those who share your views, one such friend may have been written off, but it’s getting to be half a dozen and counting. Obama’s foreign policy was always his weak point for me, his stance on Israel and Iran SCARE me and now I’ve read thaT oBAMA IS BEING SUED FOR PROOF OF HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE? There is a record of his live birth in Kenya and no such record appears to exist in Hawaii’s dept of vital statistics showing he was born there as he claims. More digging showed he is not even Barrack Obama but Barry Soetoro, or he was registered as such when he was adopted by his stepfather in Indonesia. Who IS this man??????????????????? Why is he using aliases? Is he even American? These questions have not been answered but sidelined due to the economic crisis, but Obama has only until Oct 15th to produce a legitimate record of live birth from Hawaii or nationalization papers. Apparently, he was a lawyer for ACORN and trained getout the vote teams for project vote and now they are being prosecuted for massive voter fraud all over the country? I cannot BELIEVE my own ignorance in voting without checking in the primaries. I did Hillary a great disservice by falling for the hype. Now I’m left with voting Republican, which I’ve never done. Good point and you are right except that the amount is wrong, it is 1.3 billion dollars. I agree with you on this which I think is appalling and somebody in the Palestinian Hammas democratically elected government should initiate legal proceedings for it’s recovery. I am not trying to score political points out of this mess, but on the other hand if they try to recover the money which is legally the property of the Palestinian people then America and her Allies would sanction the release of the money and it would never be used for it’s original intention,for hospitals schools and other basic infrastructural needs for the Palestinian people.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, announced today that it has obtained documents detailing earmarks submitted by Barack Obama on behalf of his family and political supporters during his time in the Illinois State Senate. The documents were obtained under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. Among the projects detailed in the documents uncovered by Judicial Watch:
· Blue Gargoyle: Barack Obama helped secure a $25,000 grant for the Blue Gargoyle in August 2000, an organization that was headed by Capers C. Funnye, Jr., Michelle Obama’s first cousin once removed.
· Garden to Nowhere: Judicial Watch uncovered evidence of a $100,000 grant obtained by Obama for a garden project in Englewood, Illinois, spearheaded by Obama’s former campaign volunteer Kenny Smith. The “Englewood Botanical Garden†project never happened. In fact, according to the Chicago Sun Times, “today the garden site is a mess of weeds, chunks of concrete and garbage.†State records show that $65,000 of the grant money obtained by Obama went directly to Smith’s wife Karen. Smith also wrote an additional $20,000 check to a construction company owned by Karen D. Smith, K.D. Contractors which is no longer in business.
· Community of St. Sabina: In July, 2000, Obama helped secure a $100,000 grant for the Community of St. Sabina, a church headed by Father Michael Pfleger, a controversial and radical Catholic priest and Obama campaign contributor. Pfleger made news in March, 2008, for mocking then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ, formerly run by Obama’s personal pastor the Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
· FORUM: Run by Yesse Yehudah, Barack Obama gave a $75,000 grant to the organization in 2000. Although Yehudah ran against Obama in a 1998 election, five people from FORUM donated $1000 to Obama’s campaign after receiving the grant. FORUM also contributed another $5,000 to help pay Obama’s debt after failing to be elected to congress in 2000. In 2002, the State sued Yehudah for failure to account for hundreds of thousands of dollars he received from Obama’s grant.
“Barack Obama’s earmark for his wife’s cousin, Rabbi Funnye, raises ethical questions. Some of these earmarks show that Barack Obama may have abused his office in the Illinois State Senate,†said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

It is understandable that a religion as old as Judism has many sects & divergent factions, though that gives no comfort to an American looking in from the outside.
In other words, which Israel is it that is America’s friend- or humanity’s friend?
Some aspects of “Zionism”, especially the expansionist vein, the increasingly visible treatment of Palistinians, and the fundamentalist activities (are Talmudists and animal sacrifice fringe?), are frankly shocking to many Americans, and many Christains.
AIPAC has become very visible, and not always seen by an average American in good light, and they are not the only Jewish voice we hear often in America that gives pause.
My opinion is that Israelis focus upon making their next government work well, and in the best interests of all Israeli citizens and if possible, their neighbors), and leave us poor Americans alone to sort out our affairs in this important time.
Whether we elect McCain or Obama will not effect the American relationship with the Israel that is our friend.

This video is interesting. Its very essence flies in the face of the Zionist movement’s objective, which is an independent state of Israel. I watched the video I have not seen anything that speak to an Obama’s non support for Israel. The editorial in the video is flawed in many levels. 1) It assumed that the fact Obama does not express an outright dislike of the enemies of Israel then Obama is not a supporter of Israel. 2) It addressed the Israeli’s concerns as though Israel is the 51st state. From understanding, the America’s support for Israel is because they are allies. 3) It assumed that allies should have the same enemies. This then flies in the face of US/India alliance and US/Pakistan alliance. 4) Here, I am assuming the maker of the video‘s intent is to inform his viewers. However, the video is simply an anti Obama spin. You, sir should just be sincere for I am deducing you are interested in Obama’s position as to Israel.
I guess I’ll have to vote for McCain because he is Irish, and as an Irish-American, I know he is for the Irish State and has the Irish State foremost in his mind. I was raised to love Israel as a child and have traveled and donated extensively throughout my 51 years.

Perhaps I’m being overly alarmist, but people need to realize that a vote for McCain is a vote for a political organization that has for eight years sought to restrict civil rights, a critical tool to preclude persecution of Jews and other minorities, even if John McCain himself does not support those policies. A vote for the current Republican Party organization places at risk the ability of America’s Jews to aggressively support and protect Israel to a much larger extent than a vote for Obama would lead to inaction should Israel be attacked.
