Fox News Panel Knocks Brokaw-Moderated Debate as ‘Disservice to the Campaigns’

"These are two very interesting people. When you are electing a president, you are electing an individual and you'd like to know something more about them -- their character, their judgement, their background. And citizens' questions would have been more like that, I think."

I agree…a time to take a nap! The questions were just typical…and the answers the same on both sides.

Did not seem well planned or thought out! A disappointment…no winner here!

My vote still going for the “all American” team of President Elect McCain and Vice President Elect Palin. They have it all…know how…experience…honor…integrity…and commitment to America and it’s citizens!

More is starting to come out about the anti-American friends of the Flim Flam Obamaman that will reveal him in a different light. His friends want nothing better than to destroy our government from within with him at the helm.

VOTER REVOLUTION HERE AND NOW!

FLIM FLAM: HE IS DECEITFUL, HE IS A FRAUD, DOUBLE-DEALING AND DOUBLE-TONGUED!

OBAMA = VAGUENESS & AMBIGUITY, NOT CHANGE!

The clear winner here is Obama. The reason for this conclusion is simple—McCain had to win because he is behind and he did not. Town hall meetings were supposed to be his format but nothing happened that would alter the course of this election. You can blame Tom Brokow all you want but it is John’s responsibility to come up with a knockout moment. He failed to do so. Since he is behind (and losing ground both nationally and in key states) he cannot afford “ties”. McCain highlighted his experience and Obama looked in control and presidential. Both scored points in that regard.

If this were a boxing match it would be the eleventh round of a twelve round fight. Mr. Obama is well ahead on points and Mr. McCain needs a knockout. All he did was jab. You can criticize Brokow all you want but he was simply the referee. John had to throw the punches and he didn’t. He has one more round in eight days. The economy stinks and Obama seems to have more ideas on how to fix it than McCain does. If he doesn’t come out swinging, he is done.

Tom Brokenjaw was terrible, he has the personality only the brain dead could enjoy. He killed the debate but that’s to be expected from a NBC dolt. Obama tried in vain to control the message only it got away from him time after time even with Tom’s assistance.

Just stating fact….won’t mock.

Looked at who was moderateing these debates the night before the first one….all four were liberals, with Gwen Ifll running the Vice Prez debate.

Okay….fine… ‘cept tonight, with Brokaw doing it, it was starchy, and didn’t hit main issues that needed addressing.
It was a Liberal set…Obama won it because there wasn’t any mention of what is going to get us all blown-up if Obama wins this.

You people that are going to vote for this Obama guy, hold onto your shorts…I’ll bet you that you never studied what Jimmy Carter did to this nation in the late ’70s.
That was a hayride compared to what this nation, and this world is going to see next.

Three for three for Dems on the basis of undecided voters.

I did pretty good keeping a timer on Obama &
McCain. Obama got noticeably more time than
McCain, who it appeared was trying to abide by
the 2 minute, 1 minute rule.
I feel Brokaw did not admonish Obama for over-
time as he should have.. He did McCain, citing
the red,yellow,green lights.
I also found Brokaw deviating from audience
and e-mail questions to questions HE inserted,
which I didn’t think was right at all.
Obama, I feel, was give the advantage of the
MORE TIME element.
Yes, I DEFINITELY THINK BROKAW SHOWED HIS MSM
BIAS.

Carolyn Richardson, I really think you should contact MCain’s team as well as the Fair Elections Practices Commission with your statistics and observations.

You can win a minimum of $20,000 and as much as $240,000 it they simply accept you charges even if they cannot prove them. If they can prove them you will collect half of the money that the Obama camp is fined. Fines sometimes reach into the seven or eight figures.

You should also go to work for Sara Palin. She needs people like you in her organization.

To Airwick

Just quoting you:

“The clear winner here is Obama. This isn’t a damn boxing match, we’re electing our president! I’m struggling not to call you any names here.

Style over substance is what you are professing and that ain’t true. Who has the experience? Who has the track record?

Obama SEEMS to have an answer for everything … but nothing to back it up with. Name me one accomplishment Obama has made in his puny career? Just one!

Obama looked just like he is — a neophyte — when it came to the foreign policy questions.

Now look at his friends, his character, who paid for his college, etc., etc.

Hands down, no question about – McCain is our man!

McCain / Palin 08

We need an injection of truth and if you’re let down or still loitering in limbo between the two candidates, then go here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheMouthPeace

Spread some truth, you’ll feel better. :)

Mary   October 8th, 2008 - 6:29 am

What do you expect? They are all liberal moderators..Nashville will be the same way..Why can’t there be a conservative moderator? At least during one of the debates? Biased, biased, biased!!!!!!

Brian   October 8th, 2008 - 6:36 am

To protect Obama, they had to do the debate in a general manner. They can’t let anyone see the real Obama. The more the public knows about Obama the more it hurts their, an his, cause.
Obama is a Black Radical Candidate, the most radical candidate ever nominated by a political party. If true americans were to discover his connections, and puppet masters, he would be finished.

Independent Voter   October 8th, 2008 - 7:06 am

Its NBC afterall. They lost their journalism credentials in the public’s eye several years ago. I’m glad I passed on this debate. My mind’s is made up. The MSM slant has convinced me that if they want BO, I sure as h… don’t!

So, I encourage all supporters of true reform in DC to fly into Cinci and cast an extra vote for McCain/Palin. I hear Southwest has a good rate…

Mark   October 8th, 2008 - 7:13 am

Airwick has a point: watch the people interviewed about who they think won – they’re voting based on appearance and semblance, not substance.
While I spit on the democrats and liberals for foisting this on an ignorant public, I spit on the republicans for offering the nomination to mccain – it just goes to show they’re not in it to win it.
Now listen up, GOP douchebags: Watch what the democrats do with their control of all branches for the next 4+ years and learn, you simps!

Mark   October 8th, 2008 - 7:21 am

Also, this on obama, and why he’s popular: the empty-suit analogy is only partially-true. He is a suit filled with vileness. However, that’s not what the media is delivering to the people – what the people are seeing is a mannequin with a blank face which they can project their vision of hope and change onto and see what they want. There was just such a mannequin in a sports store at the corner of 42nd St & Broadway in Manhattan – overhead projectors threw the face of sports ‘heros’ onto the giant-headed blank-featured mannequins so that at any time it was what the controller wanted it to be. Up close you can see through the illusion, but in passing by it’s pretty convincing (albeit proportionally distorted).

The Dems. are harping on the 300 billion for homeowners. Let me get this straight…McCain asks for 300 billion to help the homeowners and “NO” new programs (and get rid of wasted programs “ACORN”)and Obama wants 850 billion for MORE new programs !!! Right !!! McCain wants to at least help the people in trouble NOW..Obama wants more stupid programs..It’s pretty cut and dry to me…Mr flim flam, flip flop Obama is NUTS !!!!!!

Larse   October 8th, 2008 - 1:05 pm

Fox is just trying to blame McCain’s loss on Brokaw or NBC. If McCain can’t stand up to Brokaw, he certainly can’t handle being the president.

Teresa Cozzo   October 9th, 2008 - 2:58 pm

McCain should have mentioned all Obama’s ties to his activist associates and connections. Obama is so brave now in his easy interview with Charles Gibson (without the glasses), but what would he have done had McCain mentioned it. Let’s not forget Obama’s connection to Farrakhan. One thing for example is that Obama, along with Al Sharpton, helped Farrakhan organize the Million Man March. These associates and connections are just too much for Obama to be president of this great country. When are people going to see through him?
