Palin Attacks Obama on ‘Palling Around with Terrorists’

AP: Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of his association with a former 1960s radical, stepping up the campaign's effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.

Finally the gloves come off.

Will the other media cover this? Probably not.

El Capitan   October 4th, 2008 - 6:55 pm

Take the gloves off and start campaigning like you actually give a crap about winning! This is the most flawed candidate Democrats have nominated in decades and he should be in the gutter at this point. McCain should have done this months ago. Better late than never I guess.

El Capitan   October 4th, 2008 - 6:58 pm

A Texan,

They won’t cover it… UNLESS McCain makes it a central issue in the next debate. It is the only thing that will force the media to talk about it in their post-debate analysis.

Writing in the Chicago Tribune in 1997, Obama called A Kind and Just Parent, Ayers’ polemic on the Chicago court system, “a searing and timely account.” Michelle Obama, then a dean at the University of Illinois, invited Ayers to participate in a panel with her husband, then a state senator who, the program explained, was “working to block proposed legislation that would throw more juvenile offenders into the adult system.”Obama apologists dismiss all this as “guilt by association” based on a single joint appearance. But it was far from the only one.

In fact, by 1997 Obama and Ayers were collaborators on a far more significant level. They sat together for several years on the board of the Woods Fund, a left-wing Chicago charitable organization. There, they doled out tens of thousands of dollars to such beneficiaries as the Trinity Church (where Obama was a longtime member and where another Obama mentor, Jeremiah Wright, preached a radical, anti-American brand of Black Liberation Theology) and the Arab American Action Network (co-founded by Rashid Khalidi, a Yasser Arafat apologist who has supported attacks against Israel and now directs Columbia University’s notorious Middle East Institute, founded by Edward Said).

In Chicago, however, Ayers is considered so mainstream that Daley issued a statement on Thursday praising him as a “distinguished professor of education” and a “valued member of the Chicago community.”

“I don’t condone what he did 40 years ago, but I remember that period well,” said Daley, an Obama supporter whose father, Richard J. Daley, was a favorite target of the antiwar movement when he was mayor in the ’60s. “It was a difficult time, but those days are long over. I believe we have too many challenges in Chicago and our country to keep refighting 40-year-old battles.”

Maggiepoo   October 4th, 2008 - 7:36 pm

Terrorist is just the half of it.

Obama had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan, when he was in college.
Where did he get the money to go to college? Student loans?
He went to Pakistan, Indodesia and Africa during this time. Where did he get the money?

He started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? Where’d he get the money?
After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.
Here he met Antoin ‘Tony’ Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Resko was named Entrepreneur of the Decade by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association’.
About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans?
After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented ‘Rezar’ which was Rezko’s firm. Rezko was one of Obama’s first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago.
In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with ’seed money’ for his U.S. Senate race.
In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.
Now, Obama is running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss. She is now Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first.
Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Oh, yeah!! In May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was ’sacked’ after the press found out he was having regular contacts with ‘Hamas’, which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will ‘Take care of things’.
Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those ’small’ Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?
And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a slip that was made on ‘This Week’with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, ‘My Muslim faith’. George Stephanapoulos corrected him and said and said (You mean your Christian Faith”? ‘he made a mistake’. Some mistake! Why hasn’t the news media reported any of this?

“Sarah Haras” your attempt to spread debunk disinformation is rather lame.

Myth: Palin wanted Alaska to secede from the U.S.

Fact: A member of the Alaskan Independence Party incorrectly told the New York Times that Palin at one time had been a member. She later recanted this claim and issued a public apology to the governor.

America is suppose to be home of the brave. I am not scared about Barack knowing or speaking to Ayers. Two people can know each other and not share the same views. Jesus hung around the sinners and outsiders of his day but he did not share their views.

If this news scares you, you might want to ask if you a brave or coward. The truth is Barack cares alot about this country.

The person with poor character is McCain. He is losing and feels attacking someones character makes a difference. McCain cannot even master the propaganda he uses to his own benefit. I guess this is because most Americans are smart enough to know how to recognize propaganda.

God will Judge   October 4th, 2008 - 8:03 pm

RogerCfromSD   October 4th, 2008 - 8:04 pm

McCain is “running the dirtiest, slimiest campaign ever?”

Not hardly. Not by a long shot. If saying the truth is dirty, etc, then I guess you might be right.

But take a look at how slimy and dirty Obama’s campaign against Clinton was.

AND, Clinton’s campaign against her opponents in general. Talk about dirty…

RogerCfromSD   October 4th, 2008 - 8:04 pm

Oh, brother. You’re not worried by radical associations?

That doesn’t make you brave, Chris. It really just makes you stupid.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 8:11 pm

RogerCfromSD,

Go to fact checker on the internet and you will see that McCain is full of lies and deceit. Barack has not gone after Hillary or McCain. I had to slow down and pay attention to McCain and Barack to learn this. If you observe both without prejudgemnt you will see how mature and respectful Barack is and how dirty and under-handed McCain is. I dare you to let go of all prejudgments and do this.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 8:14 pm

RogerCfromSD,

Propaganda is used to play on peoples fears and not rationality. This is what this propaganda is designed to do but cannot work with me because I am not scared by Barack talking to Ayers.

The truth is most people working in congress and the White House are white and none are stupid enough to let anything happen and no president is stupid enough to allow anything to happen to America. Secret service is all around.

To Sara Hamas:

Gove Palin has never been a member of that Party..her husband Todd had registered as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party in 1995 and 2000; he no longer is registered as a member of the party, having registered as “undeclared” since 2002.
The Alaskan Independence Party maintains that Alaska’s vote for statehood is “invalid” because “the people were not presented with the range of options available to them” and because “federal government has since breached the contract for statehood..and after what I’ve seen over the past three weeks, with my government…I believe their right, especialy the part about the gov. breaching the contract. hey at least he didn’t friggon go out and bomb everything..without a care for human life. Obama’s association with Ayers has been scrutinized throughout this campaign. McCain’s campaigned dropped the attacks after determining they could not get it to affect the polls. In essence…..America didn’t buy it. The resurfacing of this tactic reflects a desperation in McCain’s campaign. Speaking on the issues have failed McCain, he’s sinking in the polls, so…..back to the character assassination attempts. It won’t work. Barring some catastrophic failure in Obama’s campaign…McCain is toast.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 8:37 pm

Mary,

How did we get to Biden? We were speaking of Barack and McCain. Among the four of them Barack is by far the most honest and Christian of them all. He is not attacking anybodies family or making up lies about them, or slandering them. His campaign as tried to encourage him to fight back but that is not his style. His quiet and friendly nature should tell you something. He is not combative by nature. Violent people and warmongers are combative by nature. They show it in the way they go on the attack to win at any cost.

Donna from Tucson   October 4th, 2008 - 8:39 pm

People who are not paying attention to Obama’s associates are really in a fog. Thank God Palin is finally putting the truth out there! American people need to know this. Chris-n-San Jose—Obama is not Christian. I have been a Christian all my life and there is nothing Christian about him. He belonged to a church that was called “Christian” in name only. All that was preached in that church was anti-American hatred. Obama refusing to support a bill that would supply medical attention to babies that survive a botched abortion, is not what Christianity is all about. Obama likes to pretend he’s a good person, but he won’t even help his brother in Kenya who lives in poverty!

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 8:58 pm

Donna from Tucson,

You have not experienced racism like Rev. Wright has in his life. Tlo put him into perspective please read this by Anthony Pinn of Rice Univ.

Anthony Pinn of Rice University acknowledges that black liberation preaching often sounds angry. But he says the anger does not advocate violence but is instead channeled into constructive routes. Trinity UCC, he notes, has 70 ministries that help the poor, the unemployed, those with AIDS or those in prison. Pinn says the words can be jarring to the untrained ear, but they’re still valid.

“Folks, including myself, may be taken aback by the inflammatory nature of the rhetoric, but I don’t think very many of us would deny that there is a fundamental truth: Racism is a problem in the United States,” Pinn says.

Black liberation preaching can be a loud, passionate, physical affair. Linda Thomas, who teaches at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, says the whole point of it is to challenge the powerful and to raise questions for society to think about. Thomas says if white people are surprised by the rhetoric, it’s because most have never visited a black church.

Donna in Tucson   October 4th, 2008 - 9:00 pm

Black Christians have said they do not have that type of preaching in THEIR churches. I’m sure there are a few.
The KKK are loud and passionate about what they believe too. Do you agree with that?? I don’t agree with any hatred! And to sit in a church that preaches that for 20 yrs, Obama must be full of a lot of hatred himself! I couldn’t hardly listen to the clips they played of it on the news. It is disturbing and has nothing to do with God or Christianity.

He is a racist that hates people that are not his color. Martin luther king said people should be judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin. The great injustice is that rev wright doesn’t preach love your white brother. he also just got busted for being unfaithful to his wife and tried to cover it up. And HE accused bill clinton of riden dirty while he HIMSELF was having his sexual escapade. He’s passionate alright, for some nasty booty.

Fact is NoFlagNoBama pals around with self admitted 60s era domestic terrorists and commie agitators and racist America and white hating black preacher. Saying it isn’t so won’t change that fact. Saying it doesn’t matter won’t change that fact.
Less than 5% of the public are politically aware enough to know why that matters in the first place.
Regardless of McCain’s or Palin’s qualifications they are not associated with people like this in the past or in the present.

You Said, “@Chris-n-San Jose “You have not experienced racism like Rev. Wright has in his life”…

Are you implying that white America needs to brace for the real life experience of racism?”

I take that you fear retaliation by blacks like Wright because of the abuse they have endured. The truth is most blacks could careless about revenge because they are seeking justice. Revenge and justice are two different things.

Rev. Wright has every right to feel the way he does. He is not telling blacks to go out and hate whites. He is telling them to hate injustice. He is telling America not to use God’s name in vain when injustice is all around.

Regardless, this information has been out there for a while now if anyone bothered to pay attention. Still, I’m glad it’s going to get nationwide coverage from the candidates themselves.

stecrowd   October 4th, 2008 - 9:48 pm

What are you sad people gonna do when Obama is elected. How much will you whine and cry then?

Harpo   October 4th, 2008 - 9:49 pm

James Cone, who regard Jesus Christ as a “black messiah” and blacks as “the chosen people” who will only accept a god who assists their aim of destroying the “white enemy.”

“If God is not for us and against white people,” writes Cone, “then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community.”

Harpo   October 4th, 2008 - 9:51 pm

Obama, who has spoken of his pastor of more than 20 years as his mentor and moral compass, “wants to talk about what Wright is, rather than what he says,” notes Spengler, by referring him as a “respected biblical scholar, and as someone who taught or lectured at seminaries across the country, from Union Theological Seminary to the University of Chicago.”

CAFireCaptain   October 4th, 2008 - 9:51 pm

Donna

I watched the debate. Palin prepared well to make herself look informed. I saw someone who had lined up her talking points and respoded with them as prepared. The questions were very predictable. What I look for is someone who convinces me that there understanding goes deeper than that format allowed. Someone who truly understands….not somebody who has logged into memory acceptable responses. As for “gottcha journalism”…..you have bought into the McCain camps response to Palin’s pathetic interviews wit Gibson and Couric. I have to discount Hannity’s for obvious reasons….an admitted right-wing journalist. To think Palin is ready to be VP is scary. Anybody without a bias view can surely understand why McCain has been hiding her. Those that refuse to see her ineptitude is some of the ignorance I had referred to. With all due respect to my Christian faith…..my vote is based on 3 key issues …..the econonmy, foreign policy (including wars) and health care.b I also look for virtues in the candidate…..integrity, honesty, intelligence, good judgment, temperament and a trust that they will surround themselves with the same. McCain is an aging hot head who has compromised his integrity in this campaign, has become dishonest as a result of his desperate campaign, has shown poor judgment (his VP pick is the most obvious0 and is soeone who will surround himself with the likes of those running his campaign….LOBBYISTS!! Obama is going to win this election….relax…accept that fact…..and be thankful we have a democracy that works better than any other nation on this planet.

ddp   October 4th, 2008 - 9:53 pm

do you Guys really want to deal with truth Let start with this so called war hero read the fact about Mccain oops you can’t because they have it sealed, but the truth he was the one that aided the capture by his poor judgement So lets stop attacking those who will become the next President becuase it can get really ugly

Tom in Newark   October 4th, 2008 - 9:54 pm

Leslie in Texas was wrong,

Biden beat Palin’s silly ass 77%-23%. Why? because there is nothing more idiotic than watching someone who is totally ignorant trying to be a ‘pitbull’ you betcha!

Stepford America   October 4th, 2008 - 10:03 pm

CAFire/Tom/S.J. Chris, and all the others,

you have been so indoctrinated by the main-stream media, TV, news, that you wouldn’t know authenticity if it came up and pit you in the a$$ like a rabid pit bull

never mind, I know answer

Helene   October 4th, 2008 - 10:08 pm

Judging from their comments, Palin is twice as honest and twice as intelligent as her supporters. (Don’t worry. It won’t insult them: they won’t get it.)

America is made up of all sorts of people and all of them, even these, deserve representation. It would be unfortunate for them if McCain/Palin lost this election, although they certainly would be allowed to do that what is closest to their heart and which they do so well: misunderstand, whine and complain.

In addition, they could move to Alaska. It’s underpopulated and Palin would still be Governor. What fun they could have riding off on their snowmobiles to invade Russia while Sara, fresh from her tanning bed in the Governor’s Mansion, waved at them and winked.

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:10 pm

Rev. Wright has every right to feel the way he does. He is not telling blacks to go out and hate whites. He is telling them to hate injustice. He is telling America not to use God’s name in vain when injustice is all around.

Really Chris???
what does this mean?

Rather than viewing God as a sovereign being who does as he wills according to his purposes, Cone insists God must do what we want him to do, or we must reject him.

What the black community wants, Cone says, is for God to assist in its goal of destroying “the white enemy.”

Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community

… Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.

CAFireCaptain   October 4th, 2008 - 10:10 pm

Donna in Tucson,

I can’t believe you hooked me into an exchange. I should have detected your blind ignorance sooner. Shame on me. No more…

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:10 pm

Harpo,

Though I do not agree with all of Black Liberation Theology. I will keep it in context. Cone is basically saying that the view some oppressive white christians have toward blacks must be killed. Oppressive whites believe that God takes pleasure in the abuse of blacks and this is not true of God. God is not on the side of the oppressor. If you read the full paragraph in context it will began to unfold.

DontTaseMeBro   October 4th, 2008 - 10:12 pm

Tom in Newark – I don’t know what debate you were watching but Palin clean Biden’s clock. Oh, that’s right — you are going by a CNN, ABC, NBC, MSNBC or another of a line of liberal biased polls. Keep drinking the cool-aid sucker. Your world is about to come crashing down. And you’re going to be so mad and blaming someone else for “stealing” the election when it this country is still conservative no matter what you hear on the news or read in the press. Mark these words and remember them!

David Mc   October 4th, 2008 - 10:13 pm

All but a handful of Americans have decided which which way they’ll vote. I read through these posts and am amazed at the vitriolic name calling and hateful remarks. Please, leave Jesus out of this…in the end, only he knows those who have actually opened their hearts to him. Just remember to vote…and never argue with fool. A bystander might be unable to identify the fool.

DontTaseMeBro   October 4th, 2008 - 10:14 pm

Great explanation Julee

Stepford America   October 4th, 2008 - 10:14 pm

Obama supporters would know authenticity if it tore into them like a rabid pit bull

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:18 pm

Julee,

This is from a lecture given by a white professor at Wake Forest University.

Black liberation theologians do not intend to allow the church–whether it be white or black–to evade this responsibility. It “cannot say that the poor are in poverty because they will not work, or that they suffer because they are lazy. Having come before God as nothing and being received by him into his Kingdom through grace, the Christian should know that he has been made righteous (justified) so that he (or she) can join God in the fight for justice. Therefore, whoever fights for the poor, fights for God; whoever risks his life for the helpless and unwanted, risks his life for God.”

Precisely what this entails is not always clear to whites. For them, loving one’s neighbor “becomes emotional and sentimental. This sentimental, condescending love accounts for their desire to “help” by relieving the physical pains of the suffering blacks so they can satisfy their own religious piety and keep the poor powerless.” But advocates of a black theology of liberation will not allow whites to get off so easy. “Authentic love is not ‘help,’” Cone writes, “not giving Christmas baskets, but working for political, social, and economic justice, which always means a redistribution of power. It is the kind of power which enables blacks to fight their own battles and thus keep their dignity.”

Harpo   October 4th, 2008 - 10:18 pm

Chris-n-San Jose

why don’t you supply the full paragraph as you see it and let us all decide?

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:21 pm

Here is another from the same lecture on a study of Black Liberation Theology.

The Goal of a Black Theology of Liberation

What is the goal of a black theology of liberation? Is it a society in which blacks are given special treatment and rights? No. All Black theologians are asking for is for freedom and justice. No more, and no less. In asking for this, the Black theologians, turn to scripture as the sanction for their demand. The Psalmist writes for instance, “If God is going to see righteousness established in the land, he himself must be particularly active as ‘the helper of the fatherless’ (Psalm 10:14) to ‘deliver the needy when he crieth; and the poor that hath no helper’ (Psalm 72:12).

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:27 pm

Chris “not giving Christmas baskets, but working for political, social, and economic justice, which always means a redistribution of power. It is the kind of power which enables blacks to fight their own battles and thus keep their dignity.”

from this it sound to me as though all any “help” is viewed with suspicion, dammed if you do dammed if you don’t situation.

–What the black community wants, Cone says, is for God to assist in its goal of destroying “the white enemy.”

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:30 pm

Black Liberation Theology is not new but was voiced during segregation.

Here is another statement that explains some of Rev. Wrights views.

“The black theologian must reject any conception of God which stifles black self-determination by picturing God as a God of all peoples. Either God is identified with the oppressed to the point that their experience becomes God’s experience, or God is a God of racism…The blackness of God means that God has made the oppressed condition God’s own condition. This is the essence of the Biblical revelation. By electing Israelite slaves as the people of God and by becoming the Oppressed One in Jesus Christ, the human race is made to understand that God is known where human beings experience humiliation and suffering…Liberation is not an afterthought, but the very essence of divine activity.” [A Black Theology of Liberation, pp. 63-64]

Black Liberation is about justice and not hate.

Harpo   October 4th, 2008 - 10:30 pm

Really Chris..so they can satisfy their own religious piety and keep the poor powerless..
It’s in Americas best interest for “white” America to keep the poor, poor?

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:32 pm

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:33 pm

‘deliver the needy when he crieth; and the poor that hath no helper’ (Psalm 72:12).

and from this Chris, Cone & wright get…“If God is not for us and against white people,” “then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community.”

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:36 pm

Julee,

You are missing the truth behind Rev Wrights beliefs and Black Liberation Theology. This is about justice for Blacks and not about hate. Julee, Do you love black people?

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:37 pm

chris

this is called cutting off your nose to spit your face.

how is the true God identified in Black Liberation Theology?

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:38 pm

Julee,

No. It is to kill the wrong headed view that God wants blacks to be oppressed. Many whites have created a God that does not love people of color. Cone is killing this wrong view of God. God is love.

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:39 pm

sorry – to SPITE your face

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:39 pm

Julee,

Please answer my previous question. Do you love black people?

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:40 pm

Chris I’m color blind

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:42 pm

Julee,

That question requires a yes or no response. I didn’t ask if you had normal color vision. I am sorry if you can see normal colors. Do you love black people? That is my question. God does.

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 10:49 pm

@Chris..Many whites have created a God that does not love people of color.

where are these “many”? I’ve not experienced this, where is this situation happening? Are you saying any involvement of whites I the “helping” of the poor is really an attempt to keep them poor?
again how is it in the best interest to keep the Poor poor?

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:49 pm

Julee,

I will get you to answer yes or no. You see when people hate someone they look for reasons to justify their evil hatred. Because you do not love blacks you seek to take things out of context. I do not agree with some of Black Liberations Theology but neither do I believe or agree with Theology as taught by White preachers either. Truth is there wouldn’t be Black Liberation Theology to tell blacks that God loves them if true White Christians were already doing this. Thank God for the few that have tried but was silenced by the false White Christians.

Albert Hartley   October 4th, 2008 - 10:49 pm

Chris-n-San Jose says:
“But advocates of a black theology of liberation will not allow whites to get off so easy…. snip…. “not giving Christmas baskets, but working for political, social, and economic justice, which always means a redistribution of power. It is the kind of power which enables blacks to fight their own battles and thus keep their dignity.”

Baloney. The Afro-Nazis won’t have a choice in the matter of whites “getting off so easy.” Your entitlement state is going to collapse like a house of cards, and there is NOTHING you can do to stop it. The free ride of the 60s and 70s is coming to an end. The freebies are evaporating and you’re left holding a big bag full of IOUs and bad checks. And, when that happens, guess who owns all the guns, all the business and all the farm land? Wall Street? Once the urbanite Afro-Nazis burn down their ghettos and steal everything there is to steal, they’ll starve to death.

Black “dignity” as espoused by race Nazis like Reverend Wright consists of mythology based in typical black bravado and adolescent posturing. But we ignore your “black Jesus” and your “redistribution of power.” Working whites, immigrant whites and poor whites died by the thousands to free you from slavery to a few rich Southern aristocrats. And you slap their ancestors in the face and call them your enemy. And when Abe Lincoln emancipated you, you sold him out and slapped his face and cried out for enslavement again. And you sold out MLK and you’ve sold out yourselves. Jews have suffered more than blacks have ever even come close to suffering. And yet you scoff at them and side with the rich oil sheiks.

Afro-Nazis think they’ve managed to boondoggle ALL whites into this fearful guilt trip of silence that LIBERAL URBAN whites have bought into. But we remember Katrina and the aftermath. It was proof positive. You must NOT be allowed to hold sway in the modern world. And you won’t be. We swear it.

Сергей   October 4th, 2008 - 10:49 pm

Dear Leader Hussane Obama and princes of darkness and hate Michele on, the way into THE WHITE HOUSE. How this could happen???

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:53 pm

Julee,

Look in your own camp. You cannot bring yourself to say that you love blacks but I bet that you believe God has the same views that you do about blacks. Your views about God are wrong if you hate blacks or anyone else. You cannot love God and hate other people.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 10:54 pm

Albert Hartley,

I know you hate black people. This is to be expected from you. On the other hand, Julee has not answered that question yes or no.

Albert Hartley   October 4th, 2008 - 10:58 pm

Hey Chris in San Jose,

I’m looking forward to the day when lots and lots of people will feel comfortable with hating people like you and Bill Ayers. Hate is just what this country needs right now. Hate of what is wrong and evil. Hate is a good thing, when it rests in the hands of good people.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:02 pm

Albert Hartley,

According to scripture, your kind of hatred is evil and wrong. I love all men Black, Asian, White, Arab, Jewish, etc. I Love them all like God does.

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 11:07 pm

for your information Chris I am married to a man who happens to be black, I don’t know how you assume by my questioning of Rev Wright & Cones witting that I hate anyone.
To me it sounds as though the hate is coming from those two individuals.
I was curious as to how they garner followers of this position, now I have my answer, simply lies.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:14 pm

Julee,

I still have not seen you say yes I love black people. Why is this so hard to do?

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 11:15 pm

@Chris-I didn’t ask if you had normal color vision. …Do you love black people?

Chris my point was that you seemed to have missed was that I don’t see people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

Albert Hartley   October 4th, 2008 - 11:19 pm

See Chris, I think you misjudged Julee. You owe her an apology. I’m the one you should be attacking, because what you accuse me of is the truth. The only truth you’ve recognized so far.

So, go on. I’m sure that your grovelling and your apologizing and your “making up for it all” is going to save you in about 20 years. See, I really don’t advocate arguing with people like you, Chris. The time for arguing is soon going to be over with. I don’t need you to agree with me. As Chairman Mao once said in the early days of his struggle, “The enemies determination is strong, but it will not make him bulletproof.”

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:22 pm

Albert Hartley,

At least you are honest about your evil. Julee is not quite so honest.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:23 pm

Julee,

“You say you are married to an African American man and this is your defense. By the same standard Rev Wright loves white people because he had a white minister preach the same message he does from his church. Remember. This is hatred for injustice not race. It just so happens that most oppressors have been of the white race but one does not equal the other. Just because most oppressors and advocates of injustice are white does not mean that Rev Wright hates all whites or any whites. This is an illogical conclusion.”

Fan of Albert   October 4th, 2008 - 11:25 pm

Albeert Harley should be president not this loser Johnette McCain and his bimbo Sara Palin!!

Julee   October 4th, 2008 - 11:25 pm

Chris what will a yes or no answer prove to you.

I could easily type YES and you’d believe that I’m lying,
I could write NO and all your stereo types confirmed.

I can’t give loads of money the “help” the poor out of poverty, lest I’ll be accused of wanting them to be poor.

like I’ve stated it’s a dammed if you do dammed if you don’t position.

why don’t you ask Rev Wright this simple question(do you hate all white people/do you love all black people)and get back to us on his answer.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:26 pm

Jlee,

You said,”Chris my point was that you seemed to have missed was that I don’t see people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Christians love people no matter what. This is yet another way of avoiding the question.

Lori   October 4th, 2008 - 11:29 pm

I saw a young man making his way up to the front door of Walmart today. He had lost both legs and an arm in the war. He was struggling with two artificial legs and an artificial arm and a cane. I thought to myself how grateful I was to him for sacrificing so much for our families and I began to cry. And then John McCain came to my mind and I thought what a sacrifice he too had made for our country while serving in the military. I thought which candidates would truly honor this young man who had lost so much to serve our country and there was no doubt in my mind that John McCain and Sarah Palin were the answer. At a recent visit in Lebanon, Ohio, a mother who had lost her son in the war was brought to the front of the stage to get a picture with the two candidates. Sarah Palin got down on her hands and knees and reached out to hug her and said to her, “your son did not die in vain.” Both candidates were very concerned about this woman and showed true compassion for her. Ultimately, the Presidency is about the people of America. Will our candidates understand what we need and have true compassion for us? Or are they self serving? Governor Palin has been all about doing good things for the people of Alaska. She has dropped taxes dramatically which is something that people should truly appreciate. It is OUR money not the governments and I am tired of feeling raped by the government every pay day. There is no doubt in my mind she will continue to work hard for the people when elected Vice President.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 4th, 2008 - 11:48 pm

Jlee,

That explains why you do not understand the concept of God’s love for all. Christians with a close relationship with God just have a natural love for all people. Notice I have not called you a bad name but you have called me one. I love you anyway.

Albert Hartley   October 4th, 2008 - 11:51 pm

JULEE: There is only one thing that will placate a socialist like Chris N San Jose. He just wants to hear you say that you hate white people because they oppress everyone else. That’s the socialist dialectic of the moment. Whites rule the world. They must be made slaves. Then, we will rebuild the world from the ground up into an egalitarian utopia like North Korea. Where everyone is a comrade. Some comrades dig potatoes. Some comrades plant them. Other comrades live in big palaces and drive Rolls Royces and tell everyone else what they do for a living.

So, this is what so many blacks want for themselves. They slapped Lincoln in the face and said “no thanks” to emancipation and all the responsibilities of freedom. They turned their backs on the admonition of MLK. They don’t want freedom. They want security.

I don’t know. What’s not to hate about socialism?

And about the hate thing. The joke is on Chris. Because chances are, in the great war to come, my patriotic comrades in arms will be black men and asian men and women too. And we patriotic freedom loving freemarketers will line all the people like Chris up in front of the wall…. And we will mow them down without remorse.

And the Hollywood left, and the Ivy League elitists, and the media traitors…. all the rich urban elites who masqueraded as “common folks” while making fun of the Constitution and stealing from the working man and destroying EVERY MEANS he ever had to advance himself…

By the way Chris, quit invoking God. We have seperation of church and state in this country and Reverend Wright needs to stay out of politics. The IRS needs to investigate his church, because he is violating the law. You religious leftists need to keep your “black Jesus” out of the public arena.

i8studnu   October 5th, 2008 - 12:05 am

Bigs from washington.
How do you call stating the truth as “desperation”?
Sorry guy, but these things are facts that the left wing media have painstakingly tried to hide thruout this whole campaign.
there is more to be revealed as well.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 5th, 2008 - 12:08 am

Albert Hartley,

Christians love all people Black, White, Jewish, Arab, Muslim, etc. We do not believe is treating people wrong or degrading them. Revenge is not something Christians seek this is why Christians that love God deeply will not be found in the military.

Rev. Wright was brought into polotics recently and people keep bring him back into again and again. He has gone on about his business.

From the time stamp on your posts, you’ve taken over 4 hours with trying to deconstruct your adversaries on this blog. You seem to not want to listen to reason and you hide behind “God” – your god I might add.

All that you have written is not God – not the God of the bible. It is your fabricated arguments with an attempt at using God as a qualifier — illegitimately I might add.

As you can tell there are many people here who do not want a socialist or communist country and will not accept this no matter what the liberal press tries to shove down our throats.

Get off your soap box, quit looking down on people, quit trying to put people in a box, and look at this situation for what it really is.

Albert Hartley   October 5th, 2008 - 12:19 am

Chris N San Jose,

Sorry dude. I invoke the leftist “seperation of church and state” argument until such time as it is convenient for me to do otherwise… such as when we’ve finished mopping up the bloodstains and corpses left over from the failed “socialist revolution.”

So, in that vein, I’m not interested in YOUR theology, or your “black Jesus” revolution. This is a secular state and the Founding Fathers were all against religion. Or, at least, that’s what I’m saying to you because I feel like treating you the way leftists have treated everyone else around the world for the last 90 years. You can’t use religion to enforce your political views with me. No way. I reject your God and your worldview. Like I said, I have no intention of letting the argument play out on YOUR gameboard.

I hate you and everyone who thinks like you. And I’m proud of it.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 5th, 2008 - 12:20 am

I will explain this once again Julee. God loves all men, Christians love all men. It cannot be any plain or simpler than that. I am a tool spread God’s love to all men. So you are right. I am a fool for Jesus. So you are right again.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 5th, 2008 - 12:26 am

Albert Hartley,

I know that our nation’s founding father’s were against all religions including Christianity and wanted seperation of Church and State. However, I represent something greater than the state and I will proclaim the truth of God’s love to all and for all to the end of time.

that FREE MARKETS cannot be open to those who use the profits of free markets to destroy free markets…

When conservative working man FINALLY realizes this and believes it, then he will deserve to call himself an AMERICAN again.

Chris-n-San Jose   October 5th, 2008 - 12:37 am

Sallie,

Please don’t vote for Obama. Your reasons would be wrong. He is not going to take guns away from people. He wants to take wepons designed to kill away from people. The police does not even use these type of weapons. Sallie if you want to ban guns you will need to go on an island by yourself. I hate guns but you cannot ban people from hunting with them.

If you oppose religion I do not know what you are going to do. Religion can be anything. Even atheist have a religion.

Obama offers Change you will submit to through the power of Government. I understand Democrats wanting to win the highest office in the land but electing Hussein because he is a gifted Orator is not the solution. The highest office in the world should not be held by a man that no one really knows much about. We need someone in the middle and that man is McCain.

I’m glad Sarah is not just spewing out a bunch of buzz words. We wouldn’t fall for that.

When Sarah Palin says “good in this world” and “Exceptionalism” can she really believe herself that drilling for oil in Alaska and everywhere else is a “good” thing for the world? and that the war in Iraq is the work of an “Exceptional” nation? You’ve got to be kidding me. Cheney in Lipstick folks, Cheney in Lipstick

The conservative Judicial Confirmation Network is running a TV ad tying Obama to not just Rezko, but William Ayers (now using cartoons to spread his ideas) and the bombastic Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

“We don’t know who Barack Obama would choose” as a Supreme Court justice, the ad says, “but we know this. He chose as one of his first financial backers a slumlord now convicted on 16 counts of corruption. Obama chose as an associate a man who helped to bomb the Pentagon and said he ‘didn’t do enough.’ And Obama chose as his pastor a man who has blamed America for the 9/11 attacks.”

left-leaning backers of Mr. Obama have the same complaint. “We’re fully for Obama, but we disagree with some of his stands,” said Tom Hayden, the 1960s activist and former California legislator, who helped organize Progressives for Obama. His group opposes the candidate’s call for sending more troops to Afghanistan, for instance, “because we think it’s a quagmire just like Iraq,” he said. “A lot of our work is trying to win over progressives who think Obama is too conservative.”

WOW! I for one am glad people of this country have a place to vent their anger, frustration, and true feelings of love for their fellow man. Please take the time and read through the posts here rather than just posting your opinion. A lot of Americans are in a bind right now and some of this is not actually their fault, but a lot of it is. Living outside your means, have your credit card ready, no interest for a year, 50% off giant blowout sale, sign on the dotted line, 0 down and no payments for a year. I know lets blame GEORGE W. BUSH, get real America it is not his fault. Stand up and accept the fact you messed up and get a job. I am sorry but nobody owes you anything.

Reading these posts makes me realize that our Democracy is not what it was, this is our Government against us (Divide and Conquer) Republican vs. Democrat. America get ready, If Barack Obama loses it will make the Rodney King riots look like a Sunday walk in the park. If John McCain loses we are all doomed. Get in the soup line, End of the World, one world government Socialist, Marxist, Stalinist type stuff.

Whatever happened to the country of brotherly love? FREEDOM. I for one am happy just to own several guns. It’s kinda lookin like I’m gonna need em.

i repeat: hahahahahahahahahaha america will be back on the track to greatness…..finally

Connie   October 5th, 2008 - 10:40 am

It is high time we true Americans step up to the plate and get Obama exposed for the conniving crook that he is! I am so sick of the media, the Hollywood scene, and the morons who refuse to do their homework and see Obama for what he IS….a true Socialist who wants to get the government involved in everything we do. As I have said before, we in Illinois who live south of the state of Chicago, are fed up with most of the Illinois politicians. Our governor is currently being investigated. He is trying to close all of our state parks and historical sites. I believe Obama is a good friend of his, along with being associated with the likes of Ayers, Rezko, and oh yeah, Jeremiah Wight. Just because McCain is running on the Republican ticket doesn’t mean he represents another Bush. He and Palin have BOTH said the current administration has made blunders! And look at Clintons. Bill refuses to say Obama’s name, and both Bill and Hillary have commended what McCain and Palin have said and done! WAKE UP, LIBERALS!
McCain and Paln really need to bring all these allegations on Obama to the front. Hopefully they can be addressed at the next debate. It will be interesting to see how Couric, Gibson, and the rest try to cove it up, as usual.
Do you REALLY trust someone like Obama? I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the AntiChrist! LOL

Connie   October 5th, 2008 - 10:46 am

All I can say to you liberal nuts is: Go ahead and get Obama elected, but don’t come crying to the rest of us once he totally sends this country down the toilet!
If he wins this election, America will never recover.

Farewell America….thanks for the memories.

Thank you Lord, finally, the truth is coming out no wonder the liberals, are afraid of Palin. It is people like obama, and friends, especiall the witch of south, Senator McCaskill, who seems she is all ga,ga, over OBAMA, she takes any opportunity to get a good hug from OBAMA, Pleaseee….how in the H does this woman win in her State, People raise up and see and hear the truth, Obama is not experience nor has the character, nor honesty to be the Leader of the free world. What is the saying “show me your friends and I will know you.” GO MCCAIN, GO
PALIN, GO WITH GOD’S SPEED…

Jane Ohlone   October 5th, 2008 - 11:37 am

WRONG: Douglass K. Daniel (the reporter) is the one injecting a warped sense of race into the discussion. What Palin said is what happened.

You can’t change the facts to fit your picture of what you hoped happened. The same is said for Reverend Wright. His speech stands on what he said, period.

The truth is, words and deeds matter. Palin is just pointing to Obama’s flaws in judgement and in the matter of Wright that judgement poorly placed.

blunder & bite me   October 5th, 2008 - 11:47 am

Her reference to Obama’s relationship with William Ayers, a member of the Vietnam-era Weather Underground, was exaggerated at best if not outright false. No evidence shows they were “pals” or even close when they worked on community boards years ago and Ayers hosted a political event for Obama early in his career.

Obama, who was a child when the Weathermen were planting bombs, has denounced Ayers’ radical views and actions.

I’m amused that people are saying we’re going to have socialism under Obama, in order to scare everyone. That’s hilarious! What do you think President Bush has already done by pushing this bailout down our throats? That’s socialism writ large. Come on, people. Get it right.

In the video clip, when people start to boo, are they booing because she mentions reading in general – or is it just directed at The New York Times. Help me, please. I don’t always understand redneck humor.

hank ben alben   October 5th, 2008 - 2:04 pm

Holy crap! It is shameful to see the lack of intelligence in the McCain/Palin party supporters-booing the New York Times like they are watching a community theater mellodrama. Do you really want to let this country go up in a blaze of glory? Wouldn’t it be better to have a breather for a little while so we can get back on our feet as our culture fizzles slowly and maybe with time we can get some healthy leadership, some organized world clout, a way to pave a new road into world domination by way of those Christian values we know are good-love and compassion-instead of this ‘Republican’ move toward the most selfish, fearful, greed driven fascism we see in our generation? Get the ni%*er in office, start treating others the way you would yourself. And stop blaming others for what YOU have caused-take responsibility as the people, the assholes in office will have to respond. (or if I had my way – stop having babies and go die human scum- all of you!)

marcus eroneous   October 5th, 2008 - 2:10 pm

Thank you Nick – they are actually booing because of the NYT. Reading is OK, if you were to say, “I was reading the other day,” they wouldn’t boo, they would be a little uneasy, but there is a short list of material that shouldn’t be banned, not that they even know which books are ok besides the King James Version.

And Hank Ben Alben – you are sick – but at least those of us who do read can understand what you actually mean – - what you are talking about – - but beware – you are now considered a terrorist and a threat to some kind of american way of life. You will be on the list for wiretapping and subject to arrest at any time.

Nick   October 5th, 2008 - 5:13 pm

What about George Bush and his very good friends, the Saudi’s, who funded 9/11? Bush seems to enjoy holding hands with sheiks and giving them sweet kisses – and ferrying them out of the country under the cover of night when things get tricky. Republicans sure didn’t mind voting for someone who associated and funded terrorism then. No siree! Not a problem!

The interesting thing is when I think of domestic terrorism, I think of those two Republicans
blowing up the federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995 killing 161 people: Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols. Both men were war veterans. McVeigh was also a member of the NRA.

Alex   October 5th, 2008 - 5:22 pm

Very strange woman. She addresses you with all the sincerity of a well rehearsed Wallmart door greeter. Yet you lap it up like children at a Disney World parade.

Three hundred million Americans and this is the best you could find? A heart beat from the White House, well golly gee, you betcha.

Wary of govmint   October 5th, 2008 - 6:37 pm

It is too bad it takes Sara Palin to point out some of the background of the Democratic nominee that should have been in the public arena and the mainstream press months ago.
The McCain campaign clearly is beginning to voice what one of the many dangers facing this country is: an Obama presidency with the candidate’s range of associations who are at best curious and at worst indicative of the candidate’s jaded views of this nation.

The Conservatarian   October 5th, 2008 - 11:36 pm

I am of the opinion he is disqualified because if he undermines our troops and consorts with enemies within, then he is unable to uphold the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. Palling around with these enemies is treason, so pray tell me, how is this racist?

Nick   October 6th, 2008 - 9:40 am

Huh? McCain collaborated with the North Vietnamese. McCain documented it himself.

McCain calls G. Gordon Libby “an old friend” and takes his contributions. Libby went to jail for Watergate. Now Libby is a popular radio host and is free even though he called for the murder of federal agents.

Libby instructed his radio audience how to kill ATF agents.

Libby was also planning to kill several people to make Watergate go away.

This is the kind of man McCain “pals” around with.
