Palin performed CPR on herself last night more than help the McCain-Palin campaign. The overall post analysis has Biden with a significant victory. She won over the 84% of people who did not believe she would do very well. If THAT is what defines success….thats a sad statement. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the debate. Biden ran the standard Politician debate, he lied and distorted the truth but in a way that won’t totally kill him when the facts come out. He is a sly politician, it has been his lifes work after all. If I were to make a movie with a sleazy politician, I would use him as a reference, I have a hard time thinking of anyone who embodies the corrupt sleazy sly politician better than him, at least in appearance.
Sarah Palin, on the otherhand let me down somewhat. There are things she knows very well, namely things that concern Alaska. However, she isn’t so good on more national and international issues. All that aside, however, I believe her biggest Achilles Heel is McCain himself and his campaign. Sarah had to be very careful not to contradict the campaign. Remember McCain isn’t exactly a Conservative whereas Palin is. Maybe Palin isn’t a seasoned politician, but that is what I like about her. I’m sick of political elites. I’d rather have a down to earth American making common sense decisions.

Hey California Luver – If taxes are such a small part of a business plan then why do states and cities offer tax free enticements to draw businesses to their regions?
Taxes can make up up to one third the overhead ( Remember taxes include sales, property, income, payroll, etc.)
If taxes mean so little to the bottom line then I suggest that the feds and state governments rescind corporate gain taxes and other taxes.

How anyone could possibly call Sara Palin an effective debater is beyond comprehension. Palin was scripted, didn’t answer specific questions and definitely did not prove to be intelligent or knowledgeable in any area and clearly did not know how McCain voted on most issues. She is scary as hell. Also, we have a folksy person in the white house, what we don’t need is another. Eight years is enough of this disastrous administration. Help us all if McCain/Palin gets in office. But, chances of that, thankfully, are very slim.

I never said that you said Bush writes bills (although by your statements that could easily be inferred). I said, read this slowly, that Obama voted with Bush more than 75% of the time. Your contention was that McCain couldn’t be about change because he voted with Bush 90% of the time which, since the President only approves or vetoes bills that is an invalid comparison. (Different branches of government with different responsibilities – hence the civics lesson comment .) A legislator and a president can be on completely opposite sides of the political spectrum and still vote together 100% of the time if the president is signing bills that the legislator voted for. That’s not so hard to understand is it? My main point was, instead of parroting some talking point you heard that supports your theory, think about what you’re saying and if it is a logical argument… yours wasn’t. Sorry.

Grew up in a small town in Alaska. Father was a school teacher in the community. She worked and obtained decent grades in school, played sports, and won a few beauty pageants. Became a TV sportscaster for awhile, married, had kids, joined the school board, became the local mayor, ran the Alaska oil and gas commission (before crucifying corrupt individuals and resigning), then won the governorship for the state of Alaska (largest state in the US). All of this was done under her own steam and efforts.
She is the embodiment of what one can do in this country if you have the will, drive, and courage. No hand-outs! For that matter, McCain doesn’t take hand-outs either. Look who wrote and pushed hardest for campaign finance reform. Look at McCain’s actual record for a change instead of parroting back the Obama/Biden rhetoric which has been classic “business as usual” for the Dems.

I agree that a woman has every right to serve in the highest office but Sarah Palin isn’t it. I wish he would have chosen a much better VP than her. I have to admit to it. I was in my earlier post. However I get really frustrated after reading post from these libs who can’t even spell or organize a coherent sentence, implying that I’m; a) stupid; b) uneducated; c)a fool; d) gullible’ etc.
I fit none of those categories, yet I’m branded by leftist hate-mongers before they even know me. Every statistical analysis that I’ve ever read indicate conservatives are better educated overall, than liberals. Maybe there was some bias in the studies and maybe not. However I only read them, I didn’t conduct them.
I don’t like being force-fed information, so I refuse to watch most televised newscasts since they are extremely biased. Studies conducted over the last few years have indicated a heavy liberal bias on televised news, news papers, and internet news sites. Drudgereport was the most centrist news website, and Fox news reported events only slightly to the left of center.
This begs the question, if liberals are deriding Fox News (slightly left of center) as being biased towards the right, what planet are they and their newscasts coming from?
I’m just one fed-up and frustrated conservative. I’ve never seen a case of mass media character assassination like what’s been perpetrated upon Sara Palin. They’ve got their dirt-diggers running all over Wasilla, Alaska trying to dig up anything that they can.
They criticize her as having a “lack of experience” when Obama has much less. The attack her integrity when he’s been bought, branded, trained, and supported by race-haters from the very beginning. They’ve gone after her daughter, etc.
It’s true that I have strong conservative leanings, however I have voted for democrats in the past, as long as I felt that they were supporting my point of view and looking out for my best interests. So my reaction at the ballot box isn’t a knee-jerk response.
With that said, I’ll be thrilled to vote for Sara Palin and John McCain, just because the mass media has lined up against them from the beginning while giving BHO and JB a free pass to say or do as they wish.

And that all those democrats that voted for the war in 2003(they saw the same intel as Bush) threw the troops over board as soon as the war did’t go as we would all have hoped…all for some political advantage. They should also remind folks that it was the democrats who oversaw they fannie/ freddie mess we are in now…No wonder Nanci wan’t to look to the future now, because she doesn’t want folks to see they caused the mess!

How is the United States different for him drawing government pay and expenses for 35 years? Sarah Palin increased oil company royalties paid to Alaska, and pressed corruption charges against good old boy Republicans. The McCain-Feingold Act is not perfect, but, it’s 1) bi-partisan, and 2)the greatest improvement in oversight of campaign financing in over a decade.

I dont discount Mitt’s business skills. But he looks to elitist and him looking like George Hamilton didn’t help either. He needs to stay on the hill that’s where he can be the most productive. But Obama’s record in the Illinois State Senate is something the Cult of Change leader likes to tout.
But were they his accomplishments?
Todd Spivak, who was a reporter for two small South Side Chicago community papers during Obama’s stint representing the 13th District, is someone who knew Obama when, all things considered, he was a nobody.
Writing now for the Houston Press, Spivak recalls that Emil Jones, president of the State Senate, was Obama’s starmaker.
Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.
“I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen,” State Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. “Barack didn’t have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.
“I don’t consider it bill jacking,” Hendon told me. “But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book.”
During his seventh and final year in the state Senate, Obama’s stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law — including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.

The administration of the past 8 years, though they did make mistakes, did not get us to where we are in this particular mess. People took on debt when they simply could not afford it. Live within your means, America! Save money then buy it! The Democrats in Congress, who were terribly rude to the man who reported on major issues in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, are in bed with those two “companies.” They failed to listen to reports on oversight, and failed to listen to Republicans (including John McCain, who I know has his faults) who wanted to make changes. I am disappointed that the whistle blowers were not louder, letting us know what was happening; not that the problem people would have listened, as they haven’t in this whole bill mess. Barney Frank’s buddy worked for one of these giants, and he acted as though these giants were not at fault whatsoever when red flags were raised. George Bush tried a dozen times to rein in Fannie and Freddie. Hillary, even your husband said that the Dems are at the root of the problem. Blaming everything on the administration is getting old and is pretty uncreative. Do your research, talk to your husband once in a while. I am not sure how Obama is going to get us through this crisis, other than raising taxes and selling our homes off to Saudi Arabia, China and Russia. Finally, some good news from Bill/Hillary. Our “oldies” Aux has been working in support of Hillary for months. Since she was so disrespected by the dimcrat party and thrown “under the bus” we have been hoping against hope she could come back. We have also taken a vow to work AGAINST Hussein Bin Biden and have urged Bill (and others) to join our efforts. Of our 67 oldies, only Melanie has worked for a major party on a national level. AND she did all of this while raising four and now five kids.

On analysis of a rather obscure comment from Palin, but indicative of her stupidity and miniscule common sense, her “Joe Sixpack” line in the debate was offensive to Mothers Against Drunk Driving” (MADD), responsible parents and a good deal of the religious right opposed to any alcohol use from their interpretation of the Bible, in that that phrase clealry pertians to beer, and a glorificaiton of six packs of beer from a vice presidential candidate. MacAuthur was tops in his class at West Point, setting academic records which stood for years, yet he was passed over in order to give the Supreme Allied Command to his former aide, Dwight Eisenhower who was just a “so so” student. Mac was then fired from the Military by a high school graduate named Harry Truman. Both Grant and Custer finished near the bottom of their classes yet went on to great successes in the Yankee War of Agression, so while education is important, it is not everything. Carter was middle of his class student yet dimcrats who support his miserable presidency point out what a good and intelligent man he is. The crooked CEO’s who authorted this financial meltdown HAD an earning power of 200 million annually so they must be very smart because none of them will go to jail. So much for the educated elite like the Obamination.

We highlighted below the biggest lie he uttered – that Obama would meet with the leaders of Iran without precondition. Now come 13 more Pinnochios that are breathtaking in their shamelessness:
Here are all 14 lies as compiled by the McCain campaign:
1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way†as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.
3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.†But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping†the Outer Continental Shelf.â€
4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.
5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.
6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.
7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false
8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.
9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.
10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.
11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraqâ€, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.
12. TAX INCREASES : Biden said Americans earning less than $250,000 wouldn’t see higher taxes, but the Obama-Biden tax plan would raise taxes on individuals making $200,000 or more.

BAILOUT: Biden said the economic rescue legislation matches the four principles that Obama laid out, but in reality it doesn’t meet two of the four principles that Obama outlined on Sept. 19, which were that it include an emergency economic stimulus package, and that it be part of “part of a globally coordinated effort with our partners in the G-20.â€
14. REAGAN TAX RATES: Biden is wrong in saying that under Obama, Americans won’t pay any more in taxes then they did under Reagan.

Berg contends that Sen. Obama is not a natural born U.S. citizen and, therefore, is not constitutionally eligible to run for the office of president.

Failure to grant injunctive relief would allow a corrupted, fraudulent nomination process to continue. It not only allows, but promotes an overwhelming degree of disrespect and creates such a lack of confidence in voters of the primary process itself, so that it would cement a prevailing belief that no potential candidate has to obey the laws of this country, respect our election process, follow the Constitution, or even suffer any consequence for lying and defrauding voters to get onto the ballot when they have no chance of serving if they fraudulently manage to get elected! It is unfair to the country for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of their ability to serve if elected.
All judges are lawyers and held to a higher standard of practice than a regular lawyer. It is this Judicial standard that demands injunctive relief prayed for here. This relief is predicated upon one of the most basic premises of practicing law which states no lawyer can allow themselves to be used in furthering a criminal enterprise. And by that gauge alone, failing to give injunctive relief to the 18 million supporters of the other candidate, a true natural born citizen eligible to serve if elected, this court must not allow itself to be used to further the criminal and fraudulent acts to continue and be rewarded by becoming the Democratic Nominee. Failure to give the injunctive relief prayed for will insure that a corrupted Presidential election process will only guarantee a show of unfair preference of one group of people over another group by not demanding the same rules be applied to all groups equally and fairly, especially in light of the fact that both candidates are each considered a minority.

I am worried that a constitutional crisis will obscure the real issues. In the Berg vs Obama court case Sen. Obama must put an end to the issue by producing the documents. So far Mr. Obama has refused to produce the documents and is trying to fight the court order.
Any American should be able to prove citizenship in less than a day. Why won’t Sen. Obama? THe only way to put an end to the speculation is to prove citizenship. Please call on him to produce the documents for the sake of the country.
