Your move Barry.You have been served.
Bob – your an idiot
McCain has and will continue to put our country first.
The same cannot be said of obama.
Hey McCain ain’t stupid. He’s eating it in the polls lately and, like he did with Palin, he is throwing a curve ball to shake things up.
you know, act all “I’m taking this more seriously and urgently than thou” kinda stuff.
Will it work?? We’ll see.
Now McCain is using the bailout crisis to chicken out of the presidential debate. What a brave war hero. Just a few days ago he was telling us what great economy we have. BWA HA HA HA HA!
So bob mr McCain hasnt been at his job since April? Well i dont believe mr obama has been at his job since 2007. So i think you and the rest of Obama ’s supporters shouldnt be throwing stones from those glass houses you all are in.
Man this guy just does not cease to impress me. He is far from perfect but i like him a WHOLE lot more than most presidential nominees ive seen for the last few years. At least this guy knows he still has a job to do even if he is bucking for a promotion so to speak. Lets see if ole Obama follows suit. Even if he does he still looks like the slacker that he is.
McCain puts Obama in a box. lol. Time to bury that box or send it UPS ground back to Hawaii.
You know, all of us liberals have had to sit and tolerate the gaffes, misspeak, and ignorance coming from Biden and Obama for weeks so let McCain and Governor Palin speak so they to will hopefully make the same kinds of mistakes.
This isn’t fair! The republicans are just cowards, sitting quit, all the while the democratic nominees are making fools out of themselves. What a load of crap.
Even if Obama does goes back to Washington he might as well vote present on any economic legislation like he did with so votes before.
I don’t know what to do — or think anymore — my head is spinning – I feel like it is about to explode! Arrrggghhh!
Geez McCain. After b!tching ALL SUMMER LONG about Obama no-showing for your 2-bit townhalls… now you chicken out at the 1st presidential debate?
Why not just make the debate about the economy?
what are you afraid of?
Politco: “But in terms of the timing of this move: The only thing that’s changed in the last 48 hours is the public polling.”
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/McCains_gambit.html
these financial institutions are going down because of foolish decisions. Lets not enable them any more.
BWA HA HA HA HA! I just like how that sounds … and I luuuuv to laugh at myself!!!
ok, ok, so saying McCain “Just a few days ago he was telling us what great economy we have” was stretching the truth a little. If I said it any different , my argument would make no sense.
Obama-Biden 08 / Socialism You Can Believe In!
recent polling:
Forty-nine percent say that Palin is unqualified to be president if the need arises, compared with 40 percent who say she’s qualified.
By contrast, 64 percent believe Biden is qualified to be president, versus just 21 percent who disagree.
PLUS:
BUSH IS SPEAKING TONIGHT!!!!!!!! That’ll really help.
all this combined with hair-on-fire-McCain crashing his jet fighter – this time its his campaign -
I think we’re actually witnessing the final implosion of the Republican Party!
Recent polling (from another poll):
fifty five percent say Obama is one of the least qulifies candidates for president
sixty-five percent say he wold side with Islamic terrorist if given the chance
sixty two percent do not approve of his Black Liberation Theology background
and sixty-three percent do not approve of his association with criminal and radical personalities in the Chicago area.
WOW! I guess it depends on which poll you want to listen to!
[...] breitbart.tv [...]
“I guess it depends on which poll you want to listen to!”
This is absolutely true. You can listen to the one I cited: The new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll will be released at 6:30 pm ET.
OR, you can listen to a “poll” that’s actually some made up b.s. that this joker just made up!
(Really tho- if its real then please tell us where you got it!)
What better time to debate the issues than now! I think Senator McCain does not want to debate because the economy is NOT his issue, and my oh my….he is down in the polls. I’m with Bob! More people are going to watch this debate, than watch the SUPERBOWL and that scares McCain!
The latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows nearly half of voters harbor doubts that Republican vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin is qualified to be president.
Asked, “Do you feel that Sarah Palin is qualified to be president if the need arises, or is she not qualified to be president?†49% of all respondents said the Alaska governor is not qualified while 40% said she is.
If elected, John McCain, at 72 years old, will be the oldest president ever sworn in to a first-term. Questions about McCain’s age have persisted in the campaign, and the Arizona senator himself has said that voters need to have confidence that his running mate will be ready for the Oval Office.
Voters have significantly more confidence in Democratic vice presidential hopeful Joe Biden’s ability to serve as commander-in-chief if need be. Almost two-thirds of respondents, 64%, said Biden, Barack Obama’s running mate, is qualified; just 21% said he is not. Biden has the most confidence among voters 65 years and older, with nearly three-quarters, 74%, of seniors saying Biden is qualified to be president. Only 37% of seniors said the same about Palin.
Biden also has more confidence among Democratic voters specifically; 81% said the Delaware senator is ready while just 7% said he is not qualified. Among Republican voters, Palin has higher marks, with 75% saying she is qualified, although 15% said that she is not.
The WSJ/NBC News poll will be released at 5:00 p.m/EDT today, check back at http://www.wsj.com for the full take.
McCain has ZERO to gain politically by delaying the first debate–which will focus on Foreign Policy, McCain’s strength. I’m sure McCain would much rather spend time talking about that than talking about the economy.
When Obama refused to delay the debate, John got to have his cake and eat it, too. He looks more presidential by requesting the delay, due to the scale of the financial crisis. Then he gets to slam Obama for declaring Defeat in Iraq, for opposing the Surge, for wanting to chat unconditionally with Ahmadinejad, for being indecisive on Jerusalem, and for sounding clueless and weak on Putin’s invasion of Georgia.
Obama- not to even vote present and this guy wants to lead our Nation? Only a bleeding-heart partisan moron would vote for this socialtard.
Only in America… grow up you weak little cowards, get a set. Actually, I beleive Palin has bigger balls then all of you liberal whimps combined- that’s what scares you.
The real problem is that now McCain is down 9 points in the polls and he’s catching flack for not ‘allowing’ Palin to speak in public he’s crapping down one leg to try and come up with some ‘grand jesture’ (yes, I mean jesture, not gesture) to show he’s the man with the plan. If you really want to impress me, John, let Palin talk in public, maybe she can offer some advice as to managing the economy. No doubt she has plenty of good ideas coming from a state where the total population is less than a million people.
Maybe McCain should just not debate Obama at all.
I mean, sure there’s an economic crisis, but its not like American lives are at stake as a result. American lives are at stake over in Iraq though! hey, why debate when there is a war on?!
McCain down 9 points in the polls since the economic reality hit. No wonder McCain wants to chicken out of the debate.
SHHHHH! I THINK I HEAR THE SOUND OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY FINALLY CROAKING.
What showmanship – what can this moron possibly offer? All McMoron could do is damage.
“Achieve consensus on legislation.” Shows his basic premises are wrong. Legislation that has destroyed our domestic industries is what got us in this situation! Legislation that allows MILLIONS of foreign opportunists to come here and drive down wages got us in this situation. Government needs to get out of the way of Americans and get IN the way of foreigners, but they are doing the OPPOSITE and that is why we are in this situation. Stop allowing foreigners to lobby our government for their wars (like the war for Israel in Iraq) and for leaving Americans unprotected from shoddy, dangerous foreign garbage. Bring the troops home, raise tariffs.
cal September 24th, 2008 – 4:11 pm
“McCain has ZERO to gain politically by delaying the first debate–which will focus on Foreign Policy, McCain’s strength.”
McCain doesn’t have a strength and certainly not in foreign policy. Remember his lies about Petreaus going around unarmed in Bagdhad? LOL! The guy is like some sort of McGoo character chasing after some elusive figment of his imagination and 70+% of the people know it and want us OUT of Iraq. Meanwhile, he still whistles Dixie about Iraq and thinks he is doing well. geez!
McCain’s foreign policy is Bush’s foreign policy (which is actually Obama’s foreign policy, too, since it is being set by FOREIGNERS (in Israel.))
Chicken Out?
Mac will eat Berry’s frikkin lunch at the dabates. That lameass is a ZERO without a teleprompter.
There is a REAL crisis here. Mac is honestly putting his country first. You miserable Libs cannot fathom that can you??
McCain has a history of putting policy before politics. This is not a stunt it is just McCain being McCain. My hat is off to you Senator McCain for stepping up and putting Country First.
I think Obama should go ahead with the debate..He has been back and forth, changing his mind so many times during this campaign…he can handle it. He can just argue with himself, or better yet, bring in Rev. Wright for laughs, then the whole evening won’t be wasted.
I KNOW, OSAMABAMA CAN DEBATE GOV. PALIN…HEY, BRING IN JOE BIDEN AS WELL. I’LL ACTUALLY PAY TO WATCH THAT DEBATE. SHE’LL CHEW BOTH OF THEM UP AND SPIT THEM OUT..AND THEN GO HAVE A MOOSE BURGER…UM, UM!
when people who agree with Obama put “COUNTRY FIRST” they vote for Obama because they think that Obama is who this country needs!
when people who agree with McCain put “COUNTRY FIRST” they vote for McCain because they think that McCain is who this country needs!
Its that simply folks. Anything else is sound byte!
Even I have to admit, this move by McCain is one of the most gutless cowardly things imaginable! The old tard just can’t handle it! His idiotic remarks on the Wall Street Crises this last week were terrible. His buddy GW just stabbed him in the back with a major economic crisis that McCain reacted to worst than Bush (and ‘worse than Bush’ is REALLY BAD!). McCain has been hiding from the public and now he just wants to hide even more. He is an incompetent frightened coward, not a leader!
McCain will make no difference in Washington. He never bothers to do any of his senate duties anymore. He has nothing to add aside from photo ops. The discovery that McCain’s lobbyist campaign manager Rick Davis is on the payola for Freddie Mac certainly does not help anything either.
McCain is a looser. The GOP should have bailed and gotten someone else. But the GOP is so wrecked right now it does not matter. The only thing the GOP has to look forward to in November is getting it over with…
BTW – There are 138 million taxpayers in the United States. If the $700B Bush Wall Street Welfare Bailout goes through, that is $5100 to each one of you chumps!!!
Bye Bye GOP…
In case someone needed a definition of leadership, here it is: Give up your career ambitions to serve your country in her time of need.
Bye Bye DMC

Obamanation doesn’t have to run back to Washington. For what? To vote present!!Tell him to send in an absentee ballot PRESENT!!!! There. That should do it!
What he says is true .. let’s see who is REALLY FOR THE PEOPLE, You go McCain

You old people dont remember or what?
Numbnuts Pleeeeese…McCain has been trying to get Obama to debate for months and months. You’ve got forty days to debate…This situation right now in Congress is way more important than any debate. McCain is showing good leadership, whereas Obama’s looking for a photo opt. Obama, I hear congratulations are in order…Sharon Osbourne has now endorsed you…Ranks right up there with Lindsy Lohan, Paris Hilton and Pam Anderson.
Political gimmick. Yeah instead of getting the problem worked out lets infuse the issue with Presidential politics.
McCain just wants an excuse to avoid a debate.
Oops! I forgot. The remaining four people in the Keating five were leading democrats at the time. I’d better learn to keep my mouth shut before I know what it is I am saying. Darn it!

“You don’t suspend your campaign. This doesn’t smell right. This isn’t the way a tested hero behaves.”
“I think someone’s putting something in his metamucil.”
“He can’t run the campaign because the economy is cratering? Fine, put in your second string quarterback, Sara Palin. Where is she?”
McCain saying “Country First” = 100% PURE POLITICAL POSTURING.
you people carrying water for him b.s. all you want.
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE will recognize this “aerial maneuver/evasive action” for what it is.
This looks Presidential? HARDLY. I’m sure George Will will shake his head and mutter again.

“McCain Looses His Head”
“Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.”
Congress doesn’t need Obama…He’s never made a differnce..Voting PRESENT, but they do need McCain. Obama would only cause more problems by seeking photo opts
McCain has always put country first, so this does not surprise me. Obama says a president should be able to handle more than one task at a time. Well, he’s sitting in FL in debates school now. Can’t he take time off from school to do his job as a Senator? Apparently not. He talks out of both sides of his mouth.. as usual. He only does what is “popular”.. as usual. And I hear Biden will be out and Hillary will be his VP on or about October 5th.. and the dems will think it’s a great move. Didn’t Joe know he was sick before Obama picked him to be VP? What timing, eh?
Their only job is to represent the people from their state which neither are doing, but when the country is about to fall on it’s face they both should get back to Washington to have their thoughts heard, we will hear it on the so called news anyway.
obama found a debate he can win. to bad the Real Americans will not be paying attention.
[...] This whole McCain “suspension” is merely a ploy to show concern and demonstrate to the A… [...]
We see who runs toward trouble and who runs to debate.
Heros run to help America, liars run to pontificate.
I am angry at the outright lies of BUSH, PAULSON, BERNANKE, and the Wall Street trash…… these rats should be put in prison for what they are doing to the UNITED STATES.
HOW DARE THESE PEOPLE RAPE OUR WALLETS LIKE THIS!
How dare they threaten us with Depression and Recession talk!
I’m a Union man….but, the Democrats have lost their friggin minds. I have never seen such crap. Obama needs to act like man and get his ass back to Washington, and quit thinking he’s one of those boys in Hollywood. You lie down with dogs..you get up with fleas. Ain’t no debate worth more than this country. Obama keeps screwing around, he’s going to lose a lot more than just my vote
obama is making all you liberals proud. he is staying were it is safe as he will have no competition in the debate.
Typical liberal, if you cant run from honest debate, legislate it out of existence. Cant want for fairness doctrine.
I am angry at the outright lies of OBAMA, PELOSI, REID, KENNEDY, and the Wall Street LIBERALS FO9R OBAMA trash…… these rats should be put in prison for what they are doing to the UNITED STATES.
HOW DARE THESE PEOPLE RAPE OUR WALLETS LIKE THIS!
How dare they threaten us with Depression and Recession talk!
Hey “Real American” it is Palin who is talking about a Depression! READ THE NEWS!
HEY MCBRAIN!
This just in from the State of Mississippi: Debate cancellation would be “financially devastating”.
Nice going j@ack@ss!!! That’ll really help things.
the adults put the country first before a state – unlike the obama and his lobby and fnma CEO buddies.
The country? NO. MCCAIN is putting the wishes of his lobbiest masters BEFORE THE COUNTRY and that is what this is really about. Any suggestion otherwise is pure b.s.
Bwwwahahahahaha
obama takes the 2nd highest bribe amount from fnma and has raines and johnson (fnma CEO’s) as his advisors.
We see who has put the bribes err the lobbyists masters first.
Pure B.S. – bwwwahahahaaha
B.S. – thy name is obama!!!!!!!!!
TODAY ON THE PALIN-COURIC INTERVIEW:
Not only did Palin say the country could be facing another Great Depression without a bailout, but she offered a painful silence when pressed about campaign manager’s Rick Davis’s ties to Freddie Mac.
And, at the end, she had no good answer when asked by Couric for examples of what McCain has done to regulate Wall Street.
and by the way, we’re all REAL AMERICANS.
(the difference is that some, like you, are REAL STUPID.)
gotta luv liberals comparing palin to obama, wow palin got a promotion.
But I bet you did not know that
like rangel the crook,
obama took the 2nd highest bribe amount from fnma and has raines and johnson (fnma CEO’s) as his advisors.
Palin, Palin, Palin,
liberals sexist racists.
Bwaaaahahahahaha.
Why in the world would McCain be afraid to debate Obama. The first debate was going to be on Foreign Policy, which Obama does not have a clue about.
Do you the know the difference between Ahmadinejad and Obama when they are talking, Ahmadinejad is the one with the interpreter.
COURIC: You’ve said, quote, “John McCain will reform the way Wall Street does business.” Other than supporting stricter regulations of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, can you give us any more example of his leading the charge for more oversight?
PALIN: I think that the example that you just cited, with his warnings two years ago about Fannie and Freddie–that, that’s paramount. That’s more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us.
COURIC: But he’s been in Congress for 26 years. He’s been chairman of the powerful Commerce Committee. And he has almost always sided with less regulation, not more.
PALIN: He’s also known as the maverick though. Taking shots from his own party, and certainly taking shots from the other party. Trying to get people to understand what he’s been talking about–the need to reform government.
COURIC: I’m just going to ask you one more time, not to belabor the point. Specific examples in his 26 years of pushing for more regulation?
PALIN: I’ll try to find you some and I’ll bring them to you.
youtube here:

McCain started to cr@p his pants when EVERYONE started pointing out that the TRILLION dollar elephant in the room during the “Foreign Policy” debate would be the economy.
As in: “Gee, wouldn’t our economy be in better shape right now if we didn’t waste TRILLIONS on a stupid and unnecessary war?”
THAT KIND OF FOREIGN POLICY debate is one that Obama has been winning this entire election.
hey, that couric was tough on obama, oops, like the rest of the msm, couric did not ask any questions of obama
they know he will stand up to any investigation
the guy is a radical America hater.
Real Americans know it and liberals are having to defend it – not well it seems.
America will not elect a radical – obama loses by landslide.
The ORIGINAL REAL AMERICANS (Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, etc.) were RADICALS by the way!
yeah right – “The ORIGINAL REAL AMERICANS (Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, etc.) were RADICALS by the way!”
Bwwwwahahahahaha
another dkook/moveon talking point
BUT
They weren’t America haters, either !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for sending the Palin-Couric interview, Governor Palin did a great job.
bottom line for obama
America will not elect a radical
OBAMA LOSES IN LANDSLIDE
Euros and other America haters will declare America racist.
Real Americans have strong backs, we can shoulder the load, we have for over 200 years.
Real Americans will do what is right and that is act like adults and not elect radicals for the good of the world.
i am laughin at your repugnant party, if you think mccains actions are that of a leader, this is exactly why Obama will win the presidency of USA. WHITEPEOPLEFOROBAMA.com
All the youngin’ Kool Aid drinkers out there–you’re not old enough to realize that this is what McCain does and has always done–put country first–it’s not just a campaign slogan, it’s a way of life. One that Barry doesn’t subscribe to.
Liberals don’t hate America. That’s just your dumb talking point.
Who hates America? How about all those Republican’s on Wall street that sold us out? How about all those lying b@stards that sent our boys and girls to die in Iraq for NOTHING?! How about those “bad apples” at Abu Grab and Gitmo that have soiled our reputation world wide, including douche bag Donald Rumsfeld.
THAT’S WHO HATES AMERICA!
Nicole,
your bad breath stinks of kool aid!
i LOVE the people saying “McCain’s scared to debate! What a wuss!”
There are 2 main reasons why that is the dumbest comment maybe ever:
1.) Do you honestly think McCain would want to avoid a debate on FOREIGN POLICY? That’s his bread and butter, and he knows it. SO does Obama.
2.) If I recall correctly, wasn’t it McCain who invited Obama for 6 months straight to participate in a series of town hall debates? Yes, it was. 10 debates, to be precise. Your messiah shied away and skirted off and denied him each time he asked. MACHO!
Hey THANKS!
I got a bridge up in Alaska to sell ya!
“Do you honestly think McCain would want to avoid a debate on FOREIGN POLICY?”
YES!! Just because the man was a POW doesn’t mean he knows his @ss from his elbow when it comes to foreign policy.
* “Today, we are all Georgians”. <– Out of touch “Cold Warrior” mentality.
* Doesn’t know the difference between Sunni & Shia.
* Doesn’t know that Osama bin Laden is in Pakistan, not Afghanistan (or Iraq for that matter).
… OBAMA opposed the Iraq war. He could make that point in the debate and that’d be the bottom line. All McCain can do is talk about the Surge that we’re winning. And how we’re still winning, and how we’ll still be “winning” 100 years from now. whoopee!
Nicole,
Indeed. McCain has tried to invite Barack Obama several times to town hall style debate of which there were supposed to be several. Unfortunately, given that they were to be largely unscripted (which goes against Obama’s need for a script) he flat out refused.
In this case McCain shows that the interests of his country come first. Unlike the highly narcasistic Obama who continually shows that the interests of himself come before those of the nation.
Barack Obama has no concept of the word sacrifice.
“Nicole,
your bad breath stinks of kool aid!”
~~~~~~~~
Nope. I never touch the stuff.
At least when she did the Katie Couric interview she did not studderd a million times, she did not avoid the question, she did not spin the answer to avoid the original question, and most important she did not need a teleprompter to answer the questions.
McCain/Palin 2008
COUNTRY ABOVE POLITICS !!!
Both candidates are U.S. Senators.This financial crisis will be decided in the U.S. SENATE. Currently, the brilliant plan is that after this 7 hundred billion dollar bail out … Pelosi and Reed will be in charge of picking who will be in charge of ongoing oversight for continued spending. God help us! This is another example of how Senator John McCain puts country first. All Obama cares about is winning the election at any cost. Obama neglected his duties as U.S. Senator before running for President, and especially after he began running for President. This ‘bail out – quick fix” will negatively affect Americans for decades. Many of the bloggers who are criticizing McCain for this decision wouldn’t recognize responsibility, or integrity if it bit them on the ass. Keep America strong and safe … Elect McCain/Palin in November.
McCain should just send in Sara Palin to take his place in the debate. That would show that he is the candidate to deal with the important things while the veep deals with the little things like that hoodlum from Chicago.
Osambo would just stutter his way into oblivion wile Sarah skinned him alive. Reps = 2, Dems = -100
SAY NO TO BUSH BAILOUT…
DON’T GIVE INVESTMENT BROKERAGES A SINGLE PENNY!!
Bush is trying to do another “let’s bomb Iraq to get to al quida.”
Bush…
The investment brokerages
need $700 billion
because
1/4th of the 1 million
illegal aliens
that bought houses in USA
have defaulted
in their home mortgages?
SAY NO TO THE INVESTMENT BROKERAGE SWINDLE!!
…as the black-ops helicopters circle my estate…
Basically, McCain is suspending his campaign and conceding the Presidency to Barack Obama.
McCain did the best he could, but he just could not pull if off.
Just quitting now makes sense. Just save all that money for 2012. Obama will probably win with one of the greatest if not the greatest margin in history. The crushed GOP just has nothing left to offer. The total disaster of the Bush administration and now the financial crisis and the crazy Bush bailout simply demonstrates to everyone that McCain cannot only run America but he can’t even run his own campaign in the burned out mess left to him by Bush.
The Republicans are now doomed as a party. They will never be able to recover. They right now have the money and four years to regroup and make their corpse viable again in some new form. To burn it all up in the next month is futile and serves no purpose other than tearing themselves down deeper.
I congratulate Barack Obama and I hope that he can indeed save our country. Wars, debt, depression, etc. Bush destroyed our country at almost every level imaginable. We can now only prey that a totally new administration and a very changed congress will be able to save us.
Ok people, why the crap hasn’t there been ANY hint of an investigation by the Congress into this?? Does it not make you wonder? Oh yeah, I know… They are the ones that allowed, in 1999 (check it out in the Congressional Record),the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and those types of investment bankers, to make it easier to give anybody a loan, whether they had the means to pay it or not. It WAS stupid then and it is stupid now. Some people (Franklin Raines and others) made 10’s of millions of dollars off it. You know, we threw common sense out the window and just said , “hey’ let’s charge it.” Now it is coming home. It should NEVER have been allowed to happen!! People who didn’t have the means SHOULD NOT have gotten a loan. PERIOD! But then, that would have been some kind of discrimination,,,blah, blah, blah against those poor people who just wanted to have their own home. NEWSFLASH, if you can’t afford it, you don’t buy it!
So, Why hasn’t there been a Congressional investigation? I mean, they are worried about what an athlete does with his body and drag them before Congress. But this doesn’t meet the standard to investigate?? This is far more reaching than that. What gives?
I’ll tell you why – BECAUSE THE self righteous PEOPLE in CONGRESS WHO ARE ASKING ALL THE QUESTIONS IN CONGRESS SHOULD THEMSELVES BE ANSWERING QUESTIONs! They benefited financially and they are waist deep in doo doo because of it. Now it’s time for the leadership in Congress to circle the wagons and find someone and something else to blame. They caused it and they benefited from it. What a bunch of …
If you want real change…throw the #%%# Congress people out and all the others who stole money or who were on the take AND MAKE THEM PAY IT BACK! They can live like the people under the bridge up the road from me for all I care! Now they want MORE of my meager hard earned dollars because of they enabled people, got kickbacks and stole?? $@#%%, NQ!!!!
Now that President Bush had to call Obama the messiah personally to get his butt back and do his job, he finally decided it is time to go. Remember republicans he has to be ask the right way.
Yet, another great judgment call from President Elect McCain.
He recognizes the severity of the situation, he realizes the need to act immediately to stabilize the markets, he realizes that what happens in the next couple of days will impact his term(s) in office so he’s thinking of our tomorrows and not just what is happening today!
Not so with the Flim Flam Obamaman…wants to debate…the debate my man is in Washington for the survival of our economy. Oh, that is right, you are all about destroying our economy…you are probably thinking better now than later?
President Elect McCain thank you for putting American first and party last!
You have my vote in November and I will be voting straight Republican to make sure you will have a Congress that will support your changes and reforms!
McCain is 16-20 points behind here in California. The people here will pass Proposition 8 to protect marriage between a man and woman only and rightfully so. McCain came out in favor of same sex marriage in 2006, 2007, voted against the Federal Marriage Amendment (so did Obama) and just 4 months ago appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres program. James Dobson stated in Jan. 2008 that he would not support McCain under any circumstances.
McCain needed Palin to cross the bridges he burnt with Christians and it has proven to be a failure over basic experience and qualification issues on foreign policy that he cannot explain on national television debating Obama.
Condi Rice was the better choice and she is a Christian as well. McCain wants to continue the Bush foreign policy and Rice is an architect of Iraq. Why did McCain evade Rice as VP? She would show him up on intelligence and foreign policy skills as Palin the inexperienced bimbo makes him look good. Quick…get Palin some foreign policy credentialism before McCain has to go on national television.
Dear San Diego View…Dr Dobson has endorsed President Elect McCain. Please check the record or call their headquarters!
Leave it to liberals to celebrate a jump in the polls for their candidate as they themselves are about to take a hit to their own pockets. lol Let no one ever accuse you of being the brightest crayons in the box. And if you’d care to ever get past KOS or HuffPo for your talking points you might actually be shocked at what you can learn… http://ibdeditorial.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=307149667289804
Too bad Greenspan, Bush and then Paulson and now Bernanke refused the 50 State Attorney Generals years ago when they unanimously confronted Bush on predatory lending and the other stuff the financials were pulling. They could have stopped this years ago, but Bush refused. Then Gov. Eliot Spitzer wrote about it in the Washington Post and a month later his political career was over.
Predatory Lenders’ Partner in Crime
How the Bush Administration Stopped the States From Stepping In to Help Consumers
By Eliot Spitzer
Thursday, February 14, 2008; A25
Even though predatory lending was becoming a national problem, the Bush administration looked the other way and did nothing to protect American homeowners. In fact, the government chose instead to align itself with the banks that were victimizing consumers.
Not only did the Bush administration do nothing to protect consumers, it embarked on an aggressive and unprecedented campaign to prevent states from protecting their residents from the very problems to which the federal government was turning a blind eye.
In 2003, during the height of the predatory lending crisis, the OCC invoked a clause from the 1863 National Bank Act to issue formal opinions preempting all state predatory lending laws, thereby rendering them inoperative.
Dobson declared earlier this year that he would not vote for Republican candidate John McCain due to his challenge to a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage.
Dobson was desperate, fool hearty in his endorsement of Palin. McCain is not even born- again, where Obama is.
If McCain becomes POTUS and several crisis occur at the same time.I wonder will he call a time out from being president
The ones calling Obama,Osamba and calling other people expressing an opinion names.Stop letting people see youe ingnorance.Why don,t you just go to some of the racist blogs so you can be more in your element.
What an absolute joke. McCain hasn’t been to Washington to do his job since April. He skipped the FISA vote. He skipped the GI Bill vote (which he opposed). He skipped the Medicaid vote. Now all of a sudden he wants to go do his job, on the day of the debate? This is a load of crap. He is afraid to debate Obama and rightfully so. This is cowardice pure and simple. Palin is not allowed to talk to the media and now this. Because every time either of them open their mouths, gaffes, lies and ignorance spew forth.
