I hope they give this guy a big wad of sweaty cash, unbelievable, makes you wonder about the death penalty, and I’m a conservative, but sometimes the system get it wrong.

Why did it take so long to getting around to analyzing the DNA on this case???

Think about this, much of our science is not perfect, especially in the medical field. All these DNA stories ASSUME the science is perfect. I really doubt it. One of the flaws of humans is not thinking outside the box. People need to question things instead of blindly accepting assertions.

So when you read stories like this ask yourself , “what about the other evidence in this case?”

Oh, just thought about of an example of “conventional wisdom” that turned out to be wrong. Back when Aids first hit america, “scientist” were predicting that it would turn into a heterosexual plague. Never did.

Good for him. I hope the remainder of his life is joyously happy.
And the state does the right thing and lays a large sum of cash on him, i would think he deserves it. Certainly more than some politician’s brother-in-law with a sweetheart contract for doing nothing.
Anyway, good luck and God Bless!

Sadly, no amount of money can undo the injustice brought upon this man. How can society give a man back his life? The memories of being locked up, subjected to prison harassment, suffering the loss of intimacy with his family, the indignity of having been wrongly accused and unjustly punished is certainly more than many of us could reconcile. I sincerely hope the amount of money or whatever compensation is given provides him some measure of solace and gives him hope to live a happier life. Justice should be as swift to exonerate those who are wrongly accused as it is as swift to prosecute. The right to a speedy trial should also include the right to immediate release when guilt itself is in doubt. I wish him and his family a joyous and happy holiday, and a long and prosperous life.

[...] evidence be used to exonerate the suspect and allow the falsely convicted suspect to go free like HERE or HERE. Or would the Aruban legal system say, who cares … you must finish your sentence for [...]
