In a case such as this, if this is learned before the presidential election, then according to the National Chairperson of the Democratic National Committe will confer with the Democratic leadership of the United States Congress and the Democratic Governors Association, whom will report to the Democratic National Committee which is authorized to fill the vacancy, the names of the candidate picks.
If Senator Obama were to be elected as President, he would be removed and the Vice President would take the President’s position.
If Senator Obama is indicted prior to taking his oath, I believe, and of course this would be a first, but I believe it would still go to Biden.

A Boston Globe report eight years ago cited by the National Review’s Jonah Goldberg said McCain’s “severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.”

Interesting that the ad mentions 1982. This is probably around the time that Barrack Obama was in full swing with his experimentation with drug use of cocaine, pot and who knows what else. True, things sure have changed.
The ad states that McCain “can’t send an email.” It’s not a matter of not being able to send an email on McCain’s part but perhaps not having to send and email. Computer use is dictated by need and let me tell you that speaking with someone on the phone carries more weight then passively sending an email or text message which can be easily ignored. Add to this that McCain as a Navy pilot used technical equipment far more complicated than the passive computer use that Obama is currently engaged with.
Finally, it’s ironic that Obama’s most obsessed followers are the most computer illiterate in the United States. While those numbers are changing over a period of time this is far from the case especially with the “Sunday go to meetin’” demographic. In my own perfect world, I dream of not having to use a computer to make a living and would prefer to spend the rest of my life on a tropical island with a non-GPS equipped float plane.

If you check your history, you’ll find that right as he left office, Bill Clinton admitted that he didn’t really use a computer either, and sent his first email just prior to leaving. Something to remember about candidates on BOTH SIDES. When you’ve been in politics that long, you are used to delegating a lot of things to your staff. Clinton ran a state as governor prior to being President; McCain is a US Senator. For both of them, their time is better spent actually meeting with people to address problems than playing solitaire or checking Twitter.

Really? This is the best Obama can do? Really? Candidate for change can’t change the politics of slander? Putting lipstick on the same ol’ spin of “change” doesn’t make it new.
Panic is setting in as Obama is losing the swing vote.
Look,
I dated a young lady once who was an attorney. She was obviously intelligent. One day we were having a conversation and for whatever reason we were talking about traveling or history, and I mentioned something about Stonehenge. She had never heard of it. Inside I was thinking: how can somebody not have heard of Stonehenge? I don’t care what you studied in school. Anyway, it was an anomaly. She knew about lots of other things, so it didn’t matter.
However, if she had never heard of Stonehenge, couldn’t ride a bicycle and had never heard of The Civil War – then I might have asked to see that law degree. The point is we all probably have something like Stonehenge – that somehow we just missed – that we should know. The thing is if more and more of these things keep popping up that someone doesn’t know – it becomes a bit alarming. I’m not just talking about making a gaffe or having what people crudely refer to as a brain fart – I’m talking about someone who regularly appears to be struggling almost daily with answering fairly basic questions.
I think in McCain’s case, this type of thing at worst makes him look intellectually challenged or at best just plain out of touch. Of course I understand that he has a big staff that insulates him a bit and takes care of things. At the same time, I’d like to think of my next president as somebody who might be able to do a few things for himself at least every once in a while. You know – someone one thinks of as capable.
Palin/Obama comparisons are interesting. Up until the selection of Palin, critics hammered Obama about his experience and celebrity status. Now, Palin gets the same treatment.
As pointed out in the recent time magazine article about Obama, detractors were also apt to hover around “the things that Obama hasn’t said”, and then saw fit to fill in the blanks and project their doubts and fears about the candidate.
Well, likewise, when will we hear Palin’s views about Islam?
We will learn that she deeply believes that Islam is inherently violent and, in fact, inherently evil.
This is consistent with her righteous view that “Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God”, as Palin has said.
When Charlie Gibson asked Palin if she thought we were on a holy war, she cleverly dodged the question. Like George Bush, she subscribes to the world-view that American is and should be engaged in a clash of civilizations with Islam.
Like Obama, we can find doubt about Palin by considering the statements of Palin’s former Pastor Tim McGraw. As McGraw recently told CNN, “I think there may be issues of belief that could be misunderstood or played upon by people that don’t know.”
Or maybe we should know her beliefs, since she is campaigning for Vice President?
She was unequivocal in stating her support for Israel. Like many Pentecostals, Palin subscribes to the devote belief that Israel must occupy the Holy Land as a perquisite to the Apocalypse.
Congratulations to the Obama camp for sticking their foot in their mouths once again. Turns out it is indeed true that one of the reasons that Senator McCain has not used a computer is the result of injuries he sustained to his hands while being tortured by his North Vietnamese communist captors while a POW:

One could conclude then that this ad is insulting to both the aged and the disabled.

McCain sure doesn’t have a problem putting his hand out there to cash those 100 percent disability checks worth $58,000 a year tax-free, or his Social Security checks for another $1900 a month, to make no mention of his 161,000 salary a year income.
He sure doesn’t have a problem taking those checks from lobbyists; that’s right he’s crippled so he can’t move his hands properly. Maybe the lobbyists just stick the money in his back pocket when they’re done.

I suppose his disabilities also prevent him from knowing the price of gas or how many houses he owns, the type of car he has or the very basics of how interest rates work.

Whose votes is Obama trying to get with this ad? Thirteen year olds?
Sooooooooooo? Do you know how many people don’t know how to use a computer in the United States? That does not mean a hill of beans! So get off your kick. He can run the country and that is what will count…he will have others who know how to run the computers!
In addition, those tax cuts for big corporations that do nothing for the middle class…those big corporations employ those middle class Americans. Provide jobs, salaries,incentives and health care. So stop blaming President Elect McCain’s consideration of big corporations…without big corporations there are no jobs!
The only viable candidate for America in November is President Elect McCain and Vice President Elect Palin. They will bring the change and reform that America needs and wants!
They have my vote in November, and I, hope, they will have yours also!
Some say, So what if he was handicapped? He could still learn how to send email. Sure, but why would he? Bill Clinton sent two emails during his entire presidency and often admitted he didn’t know squat about the internet.
. . . And the fact that he’s not blaming his disability hardly sounds like a serious indictment. If he did blame his disability, many of the same folks yelling at me would be complaining that McCain’s whining.
Now, I’d hardly be surprised if McCain could type for short stretches and all that. The point is, that it’s perfectly understandable why he wouldn’t get in the habit of it.
Oh one last point for now: Lord knows I think the chicken-hawk arguments are stupid. And I don’t think the fact that Obama never served in the military should count against him in and of itself. But how stupid is it for the Obama campaign to claim that McCain is unqualified to be president because he can’t grasp cyber-security issues based on the fact he has never sent an email when the McCain campaign can just as easily say Obama can’t understand first order national security issues because he’s never fired a rife, flown a plane, commanded men in battle, or faced an enemy? I mean which prepares someone to be commander in chief better, hitting “send” on AOL or fighting a war?
Update II: On the other hand: I don’t know what to make of this interview with the New York Times. McCain sounds awfully web savvy in it, which makes the Obama ad sound unfair. And if you read it closely, it sounds like he knows how to surf with a mouse, but doesn’t do much by way of typing.

Old man McCains age is a very important factor! A 72 year old cannot relate to the average working class man. His expiration date coincided with the extinction of the dinosaurs! You can’t honestly expect the man to live through a term in office, can you?
