Wow, it must suck to get desperate. Anyone that can’t see that as a smack against Palin’s bulldog/lipstick joke needs to get their hearing checked.

And it is disgusting that he still pounds the rhetoric that McCain is the same as Bush.

We were talking the other day and I said, “When was the last time that a political figure was so gorgeous, well spoken and charismatic?” We looked at each other and said “JFK/Kennedy” at same time.

Go Sarah!

Kevin   September 9th, 2008 - 8:34 pm

And the fall continues….

Bill Chicago   September 9th, 2008 - 8:36 pm

Contemptible. This comment was simply contemptible.
I am genuinely speechless.

SuperSarge229   September 9th, 2008 - 8:41 pm

You can take the monkey out of the ghetto, but you can’t get the ghetto out of the boy!

Bill   September 9th, 2008 - 8:42 pm

checkmate, thanks Barry!!

Neal E   September 9th, 2008 - 8:44 pm

…And with the loss, he loosened his tie, and quietly returned back to Chicago. A broken man, with dreams of what might have been. Meanwhile, somewhere in New York, a faint cackling sound could be heard off in the distance.

Nicholas   September 9th, 2008 - 8:47 pm

….and here is the real Obama. Petty, arrogant, obnoxious, contemptible, hateful. He reeks of condecension–no matter how many blue collar towns in Pennsylvania he tries to pretend to relate to. This man has never had any connection with middle class America. It is highly entertaining watching him blow this election day by day. His fall is almost as spectacular as Hillary’s. But then what do you expect from a political novice with 175 days of experience?
Go Sarah P.! You are one fine swine!

E390   September 9th, 2008 - 8:48 pm

To be fair, one could say you can dress up a gang banger so he looks “Biden/clean” but he is still a …. you know how it goes. This crap falls right in line with the NY Gov saying Palin calling Obama a community organizer is just another way of calling him black, and by black we know what the NY Gov means. Obama you can try and hide your Marxist ways but your immaturity is shinning bright.

WOW!!! I WANTED HILLARY – BUT THIS GUY’S A REAL JOKE – HOW DID HE BEAT HER OUT? No Vote From Me – unless I vote McCain/Palin just to stop this jerk!!!

m-antony   September 9th, 2008 - 9:00 pm

So, he is metaphorically , calling Palin a b!tch? The dog analogy-a pig is a pig- a female dog is a female dog. So, he flips Hilary off in public and the lefties want Hilary to come to( his/her )obamas defense? Well, maybe we all should ask michelle if Palin, is smart enough to figure out how classless the obamas are?

California   September 9th, 2008 - 9:04 pm

Obama is sinking to new lows! Wow! This latest attack smacks of pure desperation. It’s making him look very immature and sexist, looks like the truth is coming out, his true character, which is very dark and mean spirited.

McCain/Palin !

Carl   September 9th, 2008 - 9:09 pm

You can put a monkey in a suit, but it’s still a monkey.

yeah right / John McCain, 2007   September 9th, 2008 - 9:12 pm

sorry to take the wind out of your sails people, but I hate to see you all jumping on the bullsh!t wagon.

LipstickedBitterClinger   September 9th, 2008 - 9:15 pm

The Obama team likes to tell us the Republicans use code words. Well, the former “Communisty Organizer” just reminded me of that old “running pig-dogs of the Capitalist establishment” line the Chi-coms used to use on non-commies. Mr. Obama have another egg-white omelet with a side of arugula from the Hyde Park Whole Foods on me! And don’t be too sad…At least you’ll have your stylish Jackie-O Mrs. and your manorexia to keep you loud and proud back home in Chicago after the recount.

Marian-homemaker, mom of 4   September 9th, 2008 - 9:19 pm

B. Hussein Obama has stooped to a new low. How about that interview where he says “…my muslim faith.” I am so against Obama now for his “pig” comment. Shame on him. If he had Hillary by his side they’d certainly get my vote. Not really thrilled with Michelle Obama pulling the strings and not allowing Hillary the VP spot. (You know it was really Michelle’s idea!!! What a monumental mistake!)

Go McCain/Palin!

Woody   September 9th, 2008 - 9:19 pm

That “pig” looks a hell of a lot better than the Obamanable, and she’s more experienced too.

YumYum   September 9th, 2008 - 9:19 pm

No way is that a joke. Or a slip. Now he will backpedal- but that’s okay because he has a lot of practise with that.

Ralph   September 9th, 2008 - 9:21 pm

And don’t give me all this; he was not talking about Palin, he was talking about policy crap, watch the video again, notice how he pauses after he says: “you can put lipstick on a pig”, and the crowd starts laughing, they all knew what he was doing, and so do we.

ron hayman   September 9th, 2008 - 9:22 pm

According to another breitbart article, McCain made a similar comment:

“He said Hillary Rodham Clinton’s resembled the failed plan she offered as first lady during the 1990s. “I think they put some lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig,’ McCain of her proposal.”

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D933HUT80&show_article=1

So, when McCain says that about Clinton, it’s fair play, but when Obama uses that term to describe MCCAIN, its sexist. You’ve got to love the republican spin

Dot   September 9th, 2008 - 10:23 pm

You can put lipstick on a radical leftist Muslim community organizer and he still is not qualified to be President of these United States!

Nick   September 9th, 2008 - 10:48 pm

Hey,

Somebody stole my name on one of these posts at 4:17 A.M.. That’s alright, as the say: imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Sadly I’m sure it’s only a precursor to the theft of our next election with the use of Diebold machines once again – although I think the company has a slicker name now. So much effort has gone into making sure no one gets a paper receipt. We wouldn’t want a real election to take place now, would we?

Does anyone realize that our foreign debt has now doubled with this bailout of Freddy and Fannie? Every day there is a very palpable sense of America slipping economically. It’s sad, but perhaps it’s the price headstrong pride that defies logic at every turn.

Swing Voter   September 9th, 2008 - 11:43 pm

I voted for Obama in the primaries, but the more I learn about him and his associates, the more I regret that vote. To help make amends, I made my first ever monetary contribution to the campaign of McCain/Palin.

Johnny   September 10th, 2008 - 12:07 am

What President Obama meant to say is, if that Redneck worthless trash pig Palin can stop doing the Cheney hiding routine long enough, maybe we can ripe her a new one right to her face! Hopefully Lieberman has her all trained up now, so it’s time to get to fighting!! Or is she going to just hide out and be “just another Cheney…”

Common you B**** C***!! Let’s see watcha got!!! If the lipstick fits, just “wear it”!!! You will never do purple like President Obama can!!!

Biden is going to own you SOOO BADDD!!! Hahhaha!!! You had better get on your knees and prey you evangelical nut tard, and kiss your fat a@@ goodbye in November!!

claspur   September 10th, 2008 - 12:15 am

He’s toast.
This won’t ever go away.

I, uh’umm, I-uh…..this was taken out of context, and I was referring to something else…

Good F’in’ luck hotshot!

Teddy K   September 10th, 2008 - 12:20 am

Hey Barack… if you or Joe need a ride to the polls in Nov, you can count on me.

Bill Chicago   September 10th, 2008 - 12:21 am

Jim-
Read the article you so proudly point to. McCain was speaking of the Clinton health care policy specifically, not Clinton herself. Obama’s comment was clearly a direct personal attack on Gov. Palin.

Also, this article was written by Nedra Pickler, the AP’s Chief Apologist and Defender of The Faith for the Obama Campaign. Her initial complaint with Obama was he wasn’t leftist enough to suite her tastes. I doubt Che Guevara would be leftist enough for Pickler. Even Democrats have complained of her blatant bias.

Leslie   September 10th, 2008 - 12:25 am

And the hits just keep on coming, courtesy of Obama’s big mouth.
First it was the Freudian slip regarding his “…Muslim faith.” Now it’s the “pig/lipstick” jab at Palin.

Obama is losing it and should just go ahead and throw in his “towel” (disclaimer: no pun intended).

sassy   September 10th, 2008 - 12:48 am

LOL…To all of the obama supporters. Chill out.

Talk is cheap. Let all of the mccain supporters say all of the negative comments they want too.

The true test is this November. Senator Obama supporters should keep their eyes on the prize.

Continue to support Senator Obama campaign and go to the polls in November to cast our vote, our voices we be heard loud and Strong!

Why…would anyone with sound intelligence, vote for a political, party that has the counrty with a poor economy poor medical health insurance housing forecloseure, high unemployment, etc.Need I go on. ( give me a break).

As, for Mrs Palin..I believe she has five kids,a newborn, with special, needs and a unmarried daughter, that’s expecting. I think they need your

Get your own house in order… before you want to run the hihgest office in the land.

Surely, you ( Failed on this one)

jONNIERAE   September 10th, 2008 - 1:14 am

If you watched the video, you will realize that he was not talking about Palin, but rather this new, campaign motto of “CHange, we are all about change.” It is a common expression. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.” Another words, slogans won’t change McCain’s abominable voting record, on women,on vets, on the ecomomy, on the war…it’s still the same. He also said, “You can wrap an old fish in newspaper, but after eight years it is still going to stink,” refering to the same thing. The lies they are telling about how they will change things with no evidence to pack that up show more of the same, voting with Bush, with Palin it’s even more extremist. Go, Obama, keep hitting them. They can dish it out, but they sure can’t take it. McCain is such a wimp, he is literally hiding behind Palin’s skirts.

Joe D. Ode   September 10th, 2008 - 1:17 am

Obama’s low class background bubbles to the surface as he goes into a power dive of destruction.

He’s a closet hommosexxual, so he should know something about lipstick, plus his wife wears it…and she’s a pig.

Hmmmmmmmm….

Of course, it a laugh riot to have this lying low life muslim talking about any kind of pork.

He’ll be a foot-note in 60 days.

I SO look forward to watching his world cave in on him.

Lying fawwker.

yeah right   September 10th, 2008 - 1:37 am

Speaking on behalf of the McCain campaign, former Massachusetts Gov. Jane Swift tonight flatly stated that Obama had called Palin a pig.

A reporter then reminded Swift that in December, McCain was asked about criticisms coming his way from then-opponent Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass., and McCain replied, “Never get into a wrestling match with a pig. You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.”

Was McCain calling Romney a pig? a reporter asked Swift.

Of course not, Swift said.

Canidice   September 10th, 2008 - 2:07 am

If the piggy lipstick fits fine, Just “wear it” like Cindy’s $280,000.00 earrings there you honey “b” Eskimo hoooo :D

Dev   September 10th, 2008 - 2:15 am

So where do I get a bumper sticker that says “Don’t blame me I voted for HIllary”. This is what happens when the Press creats a mythical candidate and attacks one who actually could lead. Now his camp is not only attacking Palin with these wimpy sexist remarks, but a lot of those who voted for the myth have buyers remorse, hense the poll numbers scrinking.

Obama is nothing more than a cheap imitation of his Preacher mentor Rev. Wright…a great orator, but just as hateful and full of venom as his racist hero.

But She Brings Home the Bacon   September 10th, 2008 - 2:45 am

He can say what he wants but it doesn’t change the fact that Palin is a true fiscal conservative:

Of the 50 states, Alaska ranks No. 1 in taxes per resident and No. 1 in spending per resident. Its tax burden per resident is 2 1/2 times the national average; its spending, more than double.

Alaska also ranks No. 1, year after year, in money it sucks in from Washington. In 2005 (the most recent figures), according to the Tax Foundation, Alaska ranked 18th in federal taxes paid per resident ($5,434) but first in federal spending received per resident ($13,950). Its ratio of federal spending received to federal taxes paid ranks third among the 50 states, and in the absolute amount it receives from Washington over and above the amount it sends to Washington, Alaska ranks No. 1.

anon   September 10th, 2008 - 2:53 am

That “old fish smell” comment was the real slap at Palin and women everywhere.

Alex   September 10th, 2008 - 3:35 am

Senator Obama has made things personal by going on personal attacks. This demonstrates that he is immature and therefore not qualifies to sit in the Oval Office. You may attack a person’s policies, performance, ethics and decisions, but once you make an attack personal in nature, the electorate sees you are being weak and childish.

Barack has only 150 days or so experience in the US Senate. Does that qualify him to be president? I think not!

Nick   September 10th, 2008 - 4:17 am

Well, it’s another Presidential election in the U.S. and the only real lingering question is how will the Dumbocratic nominee blow it this time? It looks like Obama is in the process of joining Al Gore and John Kerry in going down in flames –with his mouth. Don’t these guys ever learn? Who is handling these morons? If I’m a Republican, I have to be amused at how easy it is to win the White House as the Dumbs seem eager to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory –AGAIN. What fun!

Luke   September 10th, 2008 - 4:23 am

Looks like Biden’s big mouth is rubbing off on Obama…sounds like the perfect recipe for another Democratic humiliation at the polls. Go Sarah!!

Bill Chicago   September 10th, 2008 - 7:54 am

Sorry about the grammatical omissions in the last post, but I was one the phone with a couple of people discussing this comment, the one questioning McCain honor and that moron Patterson of NY playing the race card. They didn’t even want to talk about Biden and the wheelchair thing.

Over the weekend, the pressure has been on the Obama campaign by some big donors and the DNC Central Committee to go negative after their internal polling showed them losing ground fast in toss-up states, and the widening spread among Independents. Apparently, what really set them off were the numbers on the people who identified themselves as Democrats, aged 35-55, with family incomes under $60,000 a year in key states that were leaning Obama shifting to McCain-Palin. Worse, they are seeing shifts in some states that were considered solid Obama in that same demographic.

Certain big names made the call to go negative, or as they call it, move into “Swift-Boat Offense” mode. Somehow, either communication or concept was garbled and “negative” became “nuclear”. Out of that, you get the “honor” and “pig” fiasco. It was felt going negative would “fire up the base”. Unfortunately, it turning out more like a David Koresh scenario than a Bill Clinton. And this is in just 12 hours.

We are only 9 days in, and this has been the political September From Hell for the Democrats. It is never the event itself, but how the event is perceived, and after today, there is a pervasive feeling that the Obama Campaign is, and will be seen, as becoming juvenile, unprincipled and desperate.

The Chicago Sun Times links Biden and Cari this way:

“When the Delaware senator(Biden) began contemplating his own 2008 presidential run, he initially was helped by Chicago lawyer Joseph Cari, Jr., who also served as Biden’s Midwest field director in his failed 1988 bid for president.

“In 2005, Cari admitted to taking part in an $850,000 kickback scheme that prosecutors say was part of a larger political fund-raising operation for Gov. Blagojevich overseen by Rezko, and was convicted in June of wide-ranging corruption involving state deals.”

I love the anger from the left   September 10th, 2008 - 8:42 am

I love it, both Obama’s words and the angry posts from liberals here show their fear of losing this election. When people post positive happy posts about their candidate you know they are secure and confident, when they get scared and feel they are being whipped they will post angry posts about the other candidate or party supporters like your selves, both sides are guilty of this. You don’t have to read there words but rather the tone, and from what I have been reading lately on many forums and blogs, the tide has turned from positive happy Obama supporters posts to angry posts. This tells us they are about to crap their pants. Obama is falling quickly, going out of style fast, he needs to pull something out of his bag of tricks quick or he will become so far behind he will have no chance of competing.

Rush LimpBalls   September 10th, 2008 - 8:54 am

You know, the thought just occurred to me. Obama has NO black people in major positions in his campaign!!!

Why is this? It is actually a validation of what us White people already know.

With a Mean Average I.Q. of 85 (yes, it has been proven scientifically time and again) a black managing his campaign wouldn’t have a chance of getting him out of Chicago.

As it is he has chosen to once again use the joows to advance the black in America. Just another way to use the black man as a straw man for the joowish agenda!! Note criminal joow George Soros who gave Obama $200 million to start his campaign. The joows also started the NAACP and the Black Urban League one year later.

Yes, those are the tea leaves of the Obama campaign!!

It is true: You CAN put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig!

Obama was making indirect references to Palin by not directly referring to her but conjuring up images of her (lipsticked hockeymom and smelly fishwife)… PRETTY FUNNY, actually! LOL. :-)

Turnabout is fair play, after all the snide things Palin said about Obama in her speech.

The fact is: *Palin is a PIG IN A POKE.* (Now people will say using THAT metaphor is also insulting and calling Palin a PIG! Hah. People need to learn about metaphors and symbolic language and stop being so thin-skinned.)

You can analyze every word and inflection, but it still doesn’t change how this comment will be seen by the voters.

If I were McCain, I would get Palin’s husband to do a commercial spot basically calling out Obama and the media for calling his wife a pig, making snide remarks about their past as hard working fishermen, and the attacks on his family. I’d play it to death specifically in 12 states, and spread it around to the local markets in the south and west. The media would run for cover, and leave Obama, to paraphrase Mel from Scareface, “it’s your tree Barack, you sit in it.”

That whistling sound you’d hear would be Obama falling.

Steve T-
Yeah, you really showed your intellectual superiority. Aren’t you going to be late for school?

A video exists of Sarah Palin speaking in tongues. She sounds like a combination of Eminem and Kyle’s mom from “South Park.”

Hey Palin, you took the bait! Obama’s comment begs the question. Is it going to be the same old Republican tricks — such as changing the focus of the discussion? Your response says it is the same old Republican tactics. Very Rovian, but we are not gonna buy it this time.
Answer the question!

0BAMA’S POLITICAL QUAKE

WELL, WELL, WELL. MR “SMOOTH TALKER” set off his own QUAKE, about a 9.5 on the scale, with his PIG statement. I think he should admit he did it intentialy, which is a bad thing for him, because the ONLY, other explaination is that he is STUPID enough, to think the American public would be stupid enough to believe any other explaination. Kinda reminds one of Slick Willie’s comment about his use of pot, the ole ” I didn’t inhale. lol

U GO MR OBAMA, U ARE GREATLY HELPING THE McCAIN/PALIN TICKET AND I SURE AM ENJOYING YOUR SELF-DESTROYING ACT.

You can dress a chimp in a man’s suit…
but he’s still a chimp!

Now don’t take this comment wrong, people… I’m referring to trained simians like in Hollywood movies.
