Families Off Limits: Obama Condemns Palin Rumors

"I have said before and I will repeat again: People's families are off limits. And people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. "

It’s so easy for Obama to come out and “take the high road” when he has his campaign supporters and media shills to do his dirty work and push disgusting rumor after disgusting rumor.

Get lost Chris you’re living in the twilight zone. Nothing you say is based in reality, so go blow some Obama volunteers or something.

His Mom   September 2nd, 2008 - 3:32 am

Chris-n-San Jose, you ar sooo wrong. dswillie is one of the smartest people here or anyplace. He is very neat and clean, too.

Barry   September 2nd, 2008 - 7:17 am

Well, Obama is saying all the right things, but you gotta’ wonder how genuine it is. He and his campaign are obviously scared silly about Gov. Palin’s selection as VP for McCain and they see how enemic the polls are especially after their convention. They have to be asking where’s the bounce? It evaporated as soon as it materialized. So, now he’s coming out to play nice and be all Rodney King on us (”Can’t we all just get along?”) It’s good to see, but we’ll have to see how long it really lasts. This guy is still very calculating.

Leslie in Texas   September 2nd, 2008 - 8:18 am

dswilli and his “mom” ought to be ashamed of themselves for the filthy, hateful, vermon they write. I agree with Chris-n-San Jose, you never have anything worthwhile or intelligent to say on your posts.

Obama is a politician, naturally what he comments on publically ‘may’ be different than what he feels. However, I believe in his sincerity regarding the “families are off limit” comments.
Obama has daughters and he himself was raised by a teenage mother, I think he is more enlightened than to negatively comment on Palin’s personal family issues. What in the world does that have to do with her ability to lead this country if McCain suddenly dies?

What the emphasis ought to be is why does McCain think American women (specifically Clinton supporters) are so dumb that they’ll run to vote for him now that he has chosen a woman as his running mate?

Chris-n-San Jose   September 2nd, 2008 - 8:43 am

Truth be told Obama has not started any of the name calling and picking on families. McCain openly did until he realized Obama was serious about running clean campaign. This is part of the change he speaks about. He is for real. Lets not judge the good others do, leave judgement to God.

Chris-n-San Jose   September 2nd, 2008 - 10:46 am

dswilli thanks for letting me know that you do not believe in reality but a fantasy world that you have created. As I said before you are delusional. I have no more to say to you.

Chris-n-San Jose   September 2nd, 2008 - 10:51 am

dswilli you are delusional, angry, no morals, etc. You have nothing intelligent to ever say on your post. What is up with that? You have a negative view of the world and people that do not agree with your beliefs, whatever they are.

Chris-n-San Jose   September 2nd, 2008 - 11:55 am

His(dswilli)mom, please have your son keep quiet. At least then he will appear smart while looking neat and clean.

Dave   September 2nd, 2008 - 3:30 pm

He’s right ,let’s focus on the fact that McCain picked Palin because Republicans (The Exxon Party)want the oil reserves in Alaska! Why do you think Bush opened up the Widlife refuge last year? The United States is Blind!!!!

Other   September 2nd, 2008 - 4:18 pm

Obama does not want people disecting families and family life. His family situation is defintely a topic he wants to avoid.

dswilli   September 2nd, 2008 - 5:56 pm

Chris you can’t point out reality to someone who’s not based there. You literally see the world as you wish it was, not as it is.

Larse   September 2nd, 2008 - 7:03 pm

Chris,

Don’t mind little dswilli. He is just as he appears, a deluded moron. Obviously, the redneck wing here has a very high frustration level these days ;) The funniest was Karl Rove calling Senator Biden a “blowhard doofus” :D

They right wingnuts are going down hard and expect them to scream a lot on the way out…

MT Griz   September 2nd, 2008 - 7:49 pm

I am a McCain-Palin supporter 100%. I feel that Obama means what he says.

Just like when I say that I do not support Obama because of his policies which I feel are completely wrong for America and not because he is black. I understand that if someone disagrees with me they are not stuped or evil they are just wrong.

Wolfen   September 3rd, 2008 - 12:10 am

What a liar.

Mad Jayhawk   October 7th, 2008 - 12:48 am

Too little too late. These nasty, vicious comments have gone on for weeks. Is Obama out of touch? He had no idea what was being said about the Palin family. GIVE ME A BREAK.
