Michael Moore on Gustav Hitting During RNC: ‘Proof There is a God in Heaven’

“To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.”

Bad to say but i really can’t wait for this twits heart to explode. I only hope no one is around to try and revive him when it does.

Mullet   August 30th, 2008 - 11:15 am

Mike Moore is a disgusting, dispicable, bad breath, mealy mouthed windbag typical of the rest of the democrat hacks out there. This putz doesn’t believe in God, he hates to even hear or see the word. He knows his party is in trouble once again for backing a zero experience community activist.

Imrighter   August 30th, 2008 - 11:20 am

Democrats, the official Party of Hate.

Jim   August 30th, 2008 - 11:21 am

Really this is just to chums kicking the bull about an election. Does Oberman even feign to be neutral as far as his feelings towards the candidates? His conversation is pro-Obama all the way and anti-conservative in tone.

I believe and hope Moore’s comments about women are just his hopes. I don’t see republicans viewing women in the way he says they do and I think that women see in Sarah a kindred spirit.

Speak up women about your feelings about the newcomer.

Namaste   August 30th, 2008 - 11:24 am

Funny how when the Righties all made a prayer call out for a flood “of biblical proportions” on the Democrats gathered for their finale you folks thought that was just fine. Moore of course was misquoted. He prefaced his remarks by saying that he hoped no one would be hurt.
You know, you people do not get irony. But it is ironic that the Republicans have their convention at the headwaters to the Mississippi at the time of another flood threat in NO when the Bush White House could not handle the first one. Oh and by the way do you know what Bush and McCain were doing on McCain’s birthday that year — eating cake while NO flooded.HMMM

Wolfen   August 30th, 2008 - 11:41 am

This piece of puke Moore demonstrates the heart and soul of what the Democratic Party has become. He is the DNC’s perfect poster boy. I wonder Mr. Obese can even wipe his own fat a s s or does his bodyguards have the honor. What a pathetic human being.

Hickok   August 30th, 2008 - 11:44 am

If there “Were a God in Heaven”, he would struck this lard-laden, lefty loon down already with a bolt of lightning.

Mark   August 30th, 2008 - 12:33 pm

…ignoring the fact that the same storm killed over 70 people during the DEMOCRATIC convention, while Al Gore was lavishing praises on young Obama. None of THAT, clearly, was noteworthy — hurricanes only matter where they can be linked to REPUBLICAN candidates. (And only when “important” people die, since Moore clearly doesn’t think Haitians or Jamaicans count.)

joe   August 30th, 2008 - 12:36 pm

Mr Moore looks a lot like some of the elephant seals
I’ve seen on the discovery channel. I wonder if he’d
shut up if someone threw him a fish.

Hurricane Gustav   August 30th, 2008 - 2:00 pm

Thanks for the thumbs up Mike, the little brown people I killed for you on my way to your beloved country died happy knowing it suited your political beliefs. Now on to the Gulf States!!!!

Namaste said,”Moore of course was misquoted. He prefaced his remarks by saying that he hoped no one would be hurt.”

********

So, he said he hoped no one got hurt, he also said he hoped everyone took cover. So that makes him a great guy? What about the billions of dollars in possible damage this hurricane can cause, that will be the burden of the American taxpayers? Moore and Olbermann are fools.

Is Michael Moore one of those “Stupid White Men” he wrote about? Was the book autobiographical?

Jay Iacobucci   August 30th, 2008 - 2:21 pm

What the heck is wrong with this man. Does he realize that almost 100 people have died in this storm? Does his god put millions of peoples lives in danger so Michael Moore can make a political point. These comments are shameful and disgusting. They come from a pathetic human being. Now please pray for the safty for all who might be in harms way so that God can hear real prayers from us.

Typical, Moore and Olbermann, not a working brain cells between them and happy that a natural disaster is heading towards innocent people.

Did Obly make him one of the “worst people in the world”?

dswilli   August 30th, 2008 - 6:38 pm

I’m sad for you Chris. You are so blinded by the “Messiah’s” bulls**t that you don’t know when someone is genuinely trying to help you. I’ve tried to explain this election to you much like I would a child. But even that is beyond your ability to understand. Hate you no, pity you? Very much so.

D. Bartlett   August 30th, 2008 - 6:44 pm

So PR, basically, what you are saying is that you are indeed happy about the Hurricane.

I wish all people like you, partisan losers who attach themselves to a party because they have nothing else going for them (and I know that’s you), would vanish off the face of the earth.

JAG   August 30th, 2008 - 7:01 pm

Two of the most insane people I’ve ever seen on tv. I’m with Clint Eastwood on this. If they ever stepped on my property, I’d shoot them and drag them in the house.

Chris-n-San Jose   August 30th, 2008 - 7:09 pm

dswili, you are not trying to help me. You can not even help yourself. You are too busy fearing for your own life from the Iranians. Remember the post that you left under another topic. Your comments show how afraid that you are. You are driven by your emotions.

Hey Proud Conservatives – we’ve finally found a democrat commie who believes in God so don’t knock it. The Republican Convention will survive a hurricaine and so will President Bush, in spite of the lying lib media. Everything the democrats thrive on and find glee in is bad for America and the American people. Pimples on America’s ass.

Fatso, pseudo-intellectuals like Michael Moore are proof that God is a fun-loving, sarcastically, callous deity that likes to find obnoxious but amusing ways to express himself.

Tracy S.   August 30th, 2008 - 8:57 pm

As a woman and an Independant, I was wavering on who to vote for. I was going to wait until the Republican convention ended before making my decision. My fiancee is leaning Republican, but I wasn’t sure just yet. The choice of Sarah Palin sealed the deal for me, I will vote McCain-Palin this November. Of the 9 close girlfriends I have, some democrats, independant and republican, 7 of them are going solidly Republican this November. I’ll find out Tuesday where my coworkers stand on this choice, but knowing them how I do, i’m betting they are loving seeing Sarah Palin on the ticket.

Joe   August 30th, 2008 - 9:12 pm

Sarah Palin may have padded her resume a bit but not her bra.

BULLWINKLE OBAMA   August 30th, 2008 - 9:39 pm

Moore is like Jerry Lewis, no one knows if he is serious or just acting like a stupid jerk.

I seen Michael Moore leave a Subway restaurant, he left with four of their largest bags, all stuffed with sub sandwiches.

Two strangers had to help Moore out by opening both glass doors so he could leave the restaurant.

Moore is just sore because Obama overlooked him for VP.

The Drew Carey-Paris Hilton ticket would of got more votes than the Obama-Nobody ticket.

Lord Fauntleroy   August 30th, 2008 - 10:13 pm

In all seriousness, looks like this one is going Cat 5, you ignorant people in LA that last time stood around until the last minute and then cried that no body will help your sorry butts because you’re black, get YOURSELVES out of there, or else! Pack up what you have, so us working taxpayers don’t have to replace your flat screen TV’s, your bean bag furniture, your baggy pants, your grape sodas and your Kool cigarettes. Drive your own cars out of there so we don’t have to buy you new 24’s. We worry about you with that uber-idiot, Ray Nagin still there. We are comforted knowing that Bobby Jindal is there instead of weak Kathleen Blanco, the do nothing ex-governor who had no business being there anyway. Bobby will override the fool mayor and take the reins himself. For crying out loud people, consider moving elsewhere(just not near me).

AnonymousMax   August 30th, 2008 - 10:14 pm

I think these two ultralibs could have used a better phrasing such as “Our God, has answered OUR prayers”, because their God is not the one in Heaven. Now, why they are so happy that THEIR GOD has blessed them with a natural disaster to coincide with the RNC Convention, is 1. it will detract the media spotlight from the republicans, and 2. they will do everything in their power to slant the coverage, such that any damage and or suffering due to this storm on the gulf coast, will somehow be attributed to Republican policies, and “if only Obama was in the Whitehouse this never would have happened!”

The second part of this absurd liblovefest was how they both deemed themselves experts in womens’ issues and know whats best for women.
This itself has to be the epitome of Democrat hypocracy.

Skinny Gilson   August 30th, 2008 - 10:15 pm

Michael Moore…

Have you collapsed any floors lately?

AnonymousMax   August 30th, 2008 - 10:30 pm

is it me? if there wasn’t a billboard below with Michael Moores name, I almost mistook him for that gay guy from the Hollywood Squares Bruce Vilanch.

(apologies to Bruce for the misidentification!)

Bill Chicago   August 30th, 2008 - 10:39 pm

Naa Max. You can always tell Michael Moore. He starts to beep when he walks backwards.

Divine Justice   August 30th, 2008 - 10:42 pm

Did not realize that BUSH was celebrating McCAIN’s BIRTHDAY while New Orleans was drowning! WOW–It would DEFINITELY be “poetic justice” (if not Divine Retribution) if their Convention got postponed and/or occurred DURING another flooding situation! A friendly reminder of where your government was during your life-and-death crisis!

Excerpt from the story (below).

“Moore also took the opportunity to take a dig at President George W. Bush and the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain.”

“I can’t see what you showed,” Moore said to “Countdown” host Keith Olbermann about a video clip including Bush and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. celebrating McCain’s birthday. “I don’t know if you showed the cake there that they had there, three years ago today – with McCain and Bush. When Marie Antoinette – when she said, ‘Let them eat cake,’ I think she was speaking figuratively. They literally were while New Orleans was drowning – eating cake. So, it’s, um, I don’t know – let’s hope things get better.”

dswilli   August 30th, 2008 - 10:51 pm

Yea how insensitive of McCain to have his birthday the day Katrina hit. Wow Divine is that really all you people have? I’ve heard pathetic propaganda before but yours is the worst. You Obama apostles better suck it up and get better material quick. Otherwise McCain is going to turn this into a route.

Pedro Villa   August 30th, 2008 - 11:13 pm

There they are, those sorry residents of the 4th ward, on TV right now. They are complaining already, “Where we gonna go, whud we gonna do? Why is George Butsh doin’ dis to us?”. Taxpayers now have to pay for their transportation, lodging, food and drink for the next week(in addition to the food stamps they already get), money to go to strip clubs for the men, money to get their hair and nails done, counseling for those having anxiety and flashbacks about the first storm, a Labor day party complete with loud music, Colt 45 and BBQ(to make up for the one they were forced to cancel), laundry facilities, walkin’ around money, and bags of red hot cheetos for snacking on. Of course there will be the obligatory slip and fall, leading to litigation against the government, an out of court settlement, again payed for by us working taxpayers. Unreal.

Shelby   August 30th, 2008 - 11:24 pm

We certainly don’t need any proof that Michael Moore is an idiot.

Hickok   August 30th, 2008 - 11:39 pm

Frank,
It’s called a rhetorical question. And I’m from the wild, wild phuckin west.

Chris Donaldson   August 31st, 2008 - 12:01 am

What a knucklehead. I bet he was a pathetic little fat boy when he was young and no one paid attention to him. Why does anyone give this guy and credence or pay attention to him like he was someone important?

Chris Donaldson   August 31st, 2008 - 12:10 am

In any other city, they would have been able to evacuate, but when you have children but don’t know who the fathers are, don’t work, don’t have enough money for a car or gas because you spent it all on high-priced NBA tennis shoes, you can’t help yourself in times like these. I’ll bet Moore doesn’t give a lot of money to help these people. Look at the demographics; always wanting “someone else” (that is the government taxing you and I) to help them with their self-created problems. I am bled dry of taxes to help others who make poor decisions generation by generation. God help this nation open its eyes and straighten up one of these days.

Bob Clanton   August 31st, 2008 - 12:16 am

Moore’s comment shows how shallow he is. Thousands of Democrats will suffer loss of home, goods and possibly life from this storm. It’s good to know though that Moore’s seen his proof there’s a God. He’ll have a reminder that Moore will meet him one day. It’s likely not going to be so nice for a liar and warped twisted creep as himself.

PR   August 31st, 2008 - 12:38 am

lets see…

Wasn’t it Focus on the Family’s Stuart Shepard asking all Christians to pray for “abundant rain, torrential rain … flood-advisory rain.” to disrupt the Democratic convention…

Unfortunately, Focus did not pull Shepard’s video fast enough, and God saw it. :)

Just like Ted Haggard from Focus screwed up the Republicans in 2006, now Shepard is going to do it again in 2008.

So as we watch the Republican convention, they are going to be pulling away every 5 minutes to cover the hurricane Katrina, I mean Gustave… All those flash backs and comparisons. I wonder how many times they are going to mention “Katrina” and Failure, and Bush, and Republicans :D I hope they don’t disrupt the storm coverage with that stupid convention :D Of course, they are going to have to mention the storm at the convention all the time too just so the Republicans seem concerned.

It will be cool if they use this as an excuse to cancel Bush and Cheney’s appearances! Of course, the governments response to the storm will be “just the same” :) John McHurricane is going to have to lead America though this Republican crisis!!!!

Good Luck!!! :D

Chris-n-San Jose   August 31st, 2008 - 1:45 am

dswili, why so much anger and hatred? Do you know that it is evil to wish bad things on people. You should never revile or wish harm to anyone, even your enemies. You are an enemy of the cross. Repent.

Frank   August 31st, 2008 - 2:58 am

Hicok, It’s not even a question. I don’t see any question mark. All I see is an athiestic sarcastic remark that there is no Go because he did not strike Michael Moore dead.

Well, that doesn’t prove there is no God, genious, it only proves you are a jerk. God will strike dead whoever He wants whenever He wants. He knows more than you do, so he could be saving your fat hero for something worse than death.

Mary   August 31st, 2008 - 3:20 am

Why in God’s name would this PIG wish for such a thing? I just left New Orleans, the people were wrought with worry and concern. However, in spite of that they remained hopeful. One street vendor said it best: “We really hate to see this happening again. It was so horrible, I lived through it. But, as bad as it is I would never wish it on someone else, never.” Michael Moore’s comments demonstrated for us all to see how hateful and selfish he is. To wish for something so tragic on so many just because of politics reveals just how small minded, callous and ignorant he is. His dogma has blinded him to human suffering. Sadly, many Obama supporters share his dogma. That is why I would NEVER vote for Obama. It is always about the dogma……say you’re for the people and then continue doing the same old thing…..living high, corrupt and narcisisticly…Remember Mischelle Obama said the $600 tax rebate wouldn’t even buy a pair of earrings. Look at them closely……they are Michael Moore’s dream.

dswilli   August 31st, 2008 - 3:32 am

As long as our military is strong with a President who uses it wisely I fear nothing. However with a moron such as BHO at the helm the world will become a darker more deadly place. Jimmy Carter was unarguably the worst president EVER. And as a result of having a moron at the helm our enemies took full advantage. If BHO manages to bs his way into the White House, many people will pay for the majorities stupidity.
