“bit of a windbag” is the least of it. He’s a loose cannon who thinks very highly of himself and has no regard for his fellow legislators, let alone the members of the public. He is the stereotypial aloof, self-important politician.
He epitomizes the Democrat image.

TZAZ- Gilbert,Arizona   August 23rd, 2008 - 1:28 pm

Windbag, that says it all.

Juniper   August 23rd, 2008 - 3:26 pm

OK, so he has a flatulence problem. Nobody’s perfect.

Wonder Why   August 23rd, 2008 - 9:19 pm

An empty suit and a windbag together on stage in Denver. Outside and inside, 50% of the democrat party for and against the selections. A Muslim leaning Obama slipping in the polls, down in battleground states in spite of outspending the opposition 5 to 1. Worry in the ranks and the smoke filled back rooms of the democrat supporters, delegates and super delegates wondering if they should have told Pelosi et al to back off and gotten behind Hillary. The hollywood stars wondering if, once again, they have foolishly flushed their money down the drain, as with the last 2 presidential elections. Joy from the opposition party that Obamas choice was Biden and not Hillary. Everyone wondering if its too late to select Hillary instead, and somehow salvage this election. Black people wondering why they vote democrat every year, and remain no better off than they were 40 years ago. Ahhhh, the beauty of it all.

Dan, St. Louis USA   August 23rd, 2008 - 9:57 pm

Perhaps the contents of the wind bag, can be used to fill the empty suit.

Obama Biden
Osama Bin Laden

Coincidence or a hint from a greater power? This is too creepy.

jbh50   August 23rd, 2008 - 10:28 pm

Windbag will say something off the cuff that he will have to later clarify in 5,4,3,2,…..

Joes Secrets   August 23rd, 2008 - 11:04 pm

Calling Joe Biden a windbag is an insult to windbags!

ktop   August 23rd, 2008 - 11:13 pm

The “Council ON Foreign Relations” is a secretive organization and should be disbanded. I use to like Joe Biden, but having checked into his background, I now believe him to be a creep. To prove it, just Google Obama’s anti global poverty bill, and you’ll see how much of a secretive jerk Biden is.

Windbags ALL   August 23rd, 2008 - 11:18 pm

Windbag? Name one politician who is NOT a windbag!

To KTOP   August 23rd, 2008 - 11:23 pm

Tried to read the stuff at righttruth.typepad.com about the Global Anti-Poverty bill, but it’s impossible to read with that thin white typeface on a black background. WHY do people DO THAT?? Is it because they are 20-somethings with 20/20 eyesight who have never heard of VISION PROBLEMS for about 80% of the world?? Are they so self-absorbed & narcissistic that they cannot even conceive of asking themselves whether or not their audience can READ their stuff? IF they have a message they are trying to get out, maybe they should not shoot themselves in the foot with layout choices that sabotage their efforts.

So WHAT is the info we are supposed to learn about Biden and Obama’s plan to eradicate POVERTY from the globe?? With websites like the one mentioned above, we’ll never know.

Fred   August 24th, 2008 - 12:01 am

Small truck Joe? We will conserve so you can drive that beast…

Sen. Joe Biden; change since 1972…

Jerry   August 24th, 2008 - 12:09 am

I’m actually for Obama, but Biden is a real disappointment. He has an excellent grasp of foreign affairs (although I don’t agree with most of his conclusions) but he IS a windbag and way too full of himself.

In recent years, McCain has voted with Bush 90% of the time, probably for political expediency, but a few years prior, his voting record and Biden’s were substantially the same on all major issues. Biden is a right-centrist, not a liberal, which is probably why Obama picked him.

This country is divided into three factions: the left, who will rarely find anything good to say about the right; the right, who will rarely find anything good to say about the left; and the squishy middle, who don’t really know what is going on and don’t really pay attention, so they will go along with whatever slick advertisement they last saw.

Unfortunately, that last group is the only one that really counts in an election. It is that group that the ads and the spin are aimed at. So you go from one candidate being a few points ahead to the other being a few points ahead. The dems pretty much keep being dems and the reps pretty much keep being repubs. It is the squishy middle that keeps changing their very shallow support.

Joe Biden-A 40 year politician. So much for the “Change” we can believe in.

m-antony   August 24th, 2008 - 3:28 am

They can not stand together in any room. Both egos are HUGE!

Your Mother   August 24th, 2008 - 5:05 am

Grasp away, hypocritical TARDS of Breitbart…grasp away. You’ve got nothing…just like McCain. Pathetic doesn’t even begin to describe your entire being as well as your candidate. I laugh at you, LAUGH I SAY! Breitbart is the new Fixed Noise…pure crap. In fact, this will be my last post (don’t even bother posting something you think is clever). I’m done with you and all you fvckers. Good luck with all the hate, racism, and BS that you continue to spew. Over and out. Good bye and good luck.

claspur   August 24th, 2008 - 10:00 am

That Yo Mammy guy @ 5:05 am is your typically made, prolly white liberal berateing his own race, calling all conseratives racists.
People like him are the kid in the classroom asking, who farted before his stench has waffed into anyone elses nose.

I hope McCain could get Colon Powell to run with him…that would be a slam-dunk

Airwick   August 25th, 2008 - 1:46 pm

Biden may be a bit of a windbag but he is also a very bright guy who has a lot of valuable experience and who has the admiration of both Republicans and Democrats. His work on the Foreign Relations Committee and Senate Judiciary Committee is exemplary. He has worked in a bipartisan manner with Republicans often (ask Lugar and McCain) and put partisan politics aside for the betterment of the country. He would make a fine vice president.

Powell is also an interesting choice for McCain. That would be an outstanding ticket. I am not sure that the “base” would support it though.
