[...] New Obama Ad Mocks McCain’s Inability to Remember How Many Houses He Owns August 21, 2008 — tizona Breitbart TV [...]

Mdeck   August 21st, 2008 - 12:46 pm

This ad just gives me the tickles. It is such a hollow and impotent issue that it does nothing but remind us that Obama hates the rich and wants to turn Americans against one another.
I own only one house, but I am proud of McCains success. I dont envy him or fault him for being successful. You see Barack, uhhhh, this is AMERICA- where we WANT people to succeed and do well. There are other countries that want every one to stay poor- like Russia and China- maybe you should go there and run for office.

mdeck   August 21st, 2008 - 12:50 pm

By Obamas socialist logic Michael Phelps has 7 too many gold medals to represent the United States.

“Has anyone noticed how the economy went to crap once Obama started running for potus”

Eagle Eye that is the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard. Funny I thought the Bush economic policies of Reaganiomics were going to increase tax revenue to new heights, opps. Massive deficits.

The republicans controled government and did nothing but spend tax payer money like water. Bush is a big government conservative who cuts taxes and then spends more money than LBJ. You intellectual weak republicans here have nothing to explain why during the Bush years when the “conservatives” ran things W. never vetoed a spending bill. You republicans are pathetic.

Just based on your worthless performance balancing the budget Republicans don’t deserve to be in power again. I’ll gamble on Obama. Republicans lost had there shot and achieved nothing. $500 billion in the red this year alone. What is the republican plan more tax cuts and more massive spending increases just like before? No thanks.

Rich Republican   August 21st, 2008 - 1:19 pm

Hey – I’m rich Republican with plenty of real estate. heck if I can tell you off hand exactly how many investments I have or how many shares of stock in this or that I own. Go talk to my accountant!

geez!

Hmmm   August 21st, 2008 - 3:23 pm

Interesting…and how many cars/homes do parents own because they bought or co-signed for their kids? Reminder…just because you own it doesn’t mean you get to live in it and if John McCain does have 7 houses just for himself to enjoy–it’s his democratic right…like yours, too! Looking forward to seeing how many homes Obama owns in another 30 years. This ad is lame!

demdicks   August 21st, 2008 - 3:57 pm

Sure, on the surface that seems to mae McCain look bad, but does the Messiah REALLY want to get into a housing debate?, especially with his Hyde Park mansion a reality ONLY because of ridin’ dirty with Tony Rezko!!!. In fact, due to the MSM trying to have his back, they may have inadvertently reopened a huge can of worms with this, most short attention spanned voters had forgotten about it but no more, it’s baaaack!!!! The best part is that no one can separate McCain’s homes, (which by the way most were owned prior to marriage by Cindy) from the 6 that John erry has, the 3 HUGE mansions John Edwards has, the Kennedy COMPOUND (you know it’s massive if it’s called a compound), the Gore, Clinton houses, etc. Talk about throwing stones in glass houses, this one’s going to bite Barack in the behind faster than the disciples at his rallies can faint.

“Eric August 22nd, 2008 – 12:08 am

Yes anonymous, all men aspire to marry into the family of a multi-million dollar heiress…”

It worked for John Kerry…..twice!

Gregory Scott   August 21st, 2008 - 5:26 pm

Sharing,

I agree! Now I have a bridge in my backyard that I’d love to share with you. But you’re going to have to share half of your current assets with me first. I’m sure you won’t have a problem with this! Come on— it’ll save the planet! Ride your bike over here with a trunk full of cash!

Pat   August 21st, 2008 - 5:50 pm

Seems that McCain owns houss that are investments-at least one is occupied by an Aunt.

As for Memory:

How many states are there in the Union (hint: it isn’t fifty-seven-plus-one!)

How many people that Obama i friendly with have committed terrorist acts?

Who helped Obama get a really great deal on a big, expensive McMansion?

Who forgot all the times he was/wasn’t in the pews when a certain pastor said some really nasty stuff that caused a candidate to toss said pastor under a bus-after twenty years of hearing/not hearing the pastor’s tirades.

Obama had best tread lightly, as he has some memory problems of his own. His own house might be made of glass-and he’s chucking boulders.

Kerry   August 21st, 2008 - 5:53 pm

Brian Rogers sums it up well!

“Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses?” said McCain spokesman Brian Rogers. “Does a guy who worries about the price of arugula and thinks regular people ‘cling’ to guns and religion in the face of economic hardship really want to have a debate about who’s in touch with regular Americans?

McCain needs to get this in an add ASAP.

lou dobbs fan   August 21st, 2008 - 7:57 pm

Wow Mccain, you dont know how many homes you have? Must be nice, when most Americans cant afford the (one) home we have.

Eagle eye   August 21st, 2008 - 8:04 pm

sure hope hes ot flipping all those houses because they might be flopping. Has anyone noticed how the economy went to crap once Obama started running for potus

Fernando77   August 21st, 2008 - 8:27 pm

Well, so much for no negative ads from Obama, which is fine. I do not want to hear the whinners come out after Mc Cain runs another ad.

Other   August 21st, 2008 - 8:32 pm

How many does he personaly own? Or his wife owns? Or the own jointly? Or does he rent?
Seems that the question would not have a short numerical answer.

Jody   August 21st, 2008 - 8:44 pm

MDeck: Does Obama hate the rich or is he elitist?

Bobo   August 21st, 2008 - 9:12 pm

@”breitbart sucks/drudge is a queer”

Fixated are ya?

You’re not even smart enough to know what to put in the “Name” field.

Travis   August 21st, 2008 - 9:18 pm

How many brothers does Obama have?

R. Pickens   August 21st, 2008 - 10:06 pm

Are Obamas people complete idiots! There are so many counter attacks that will reflect negatively on him from this situation… No good.

Let’s get on to actual issues. He has a lot of houses, I’m losing mine. I don’t expect everyone who is in a better position, especially the President, to… I don’t even know. What a ridiculous argument.

Let’s all work for the same wage, have the same things and take away everything America is. No.

Burn   August 21st, 2008 - 10:32 pm

How many houses did Bill Ayers burn? Liberals dismantle the good that Conservatives build. Family, Boy Scouts, etc…….

It’s over Obambi.

kevin   August 21st, 2008 - 10:51 pm

“Obama launches campaign, vows ‘new kind of politics’”

Remember this Obama ?

Eric   August 21st, 2008 - 10:53 pm

It’s *not* about how many houses John McCain owns, or what he does or doesn’t know…

It’s about the fact that the guy had to audacity to call someone else elitist while he himself is flying high and totally disassociated from the realities facing many Americans today.

John McCain is a hypocrite, pure and simple.

Bill Smith   August 21st, 2008 - 10:55 pm

>>Lou Dobbs Fan

You people are so funny. Here’s a clue: If you can’t afford your own house, YOU are the only one to blame. If you are unable to process that, I may have some time next week to help you. We will start with learning to put your flip flops on the correct feet, since you have identified yourself as being utterly helpless.

>>Barry O

Don’t start throwing stones like that when YOU can’t remember how many STATES we have!

Gregory Scott   August 21st, 2008 - 11:02 pm

As soon as Obama started running, the economy was in absolute shambles. The rich 1% dominated over the rest of the nation, which all of a sudden was destitute. Everyone, it has became clear, is struggling to survive in this cruel world dominated by the conspiracy of wealthy individuals, led by Bush and Cheney. It turned out that Americans just couldn’t do it anymore— with poverty out of control, unemployment through the roof…. We need change! The Republicans, contrary to established fact, have killed the economy!

A vote for Obama is a vote not only for a better economy from which everyone can make a ends meet, but also a vote for a government that can afford to take care of everyone of its citizens— regardless of their financial situation. Vote for Obama and ‘level’ the playing field. Vote for Obama and go straight to heaven! Heaven on Earth, no less!

LETHLSS   August 21st, 2008 - 11:06 pm

haha, that was great! McCain does seem sort of like he’s not all there most of the time. probably can’t remember to take his medication as well.

Woody   August 21st, 2008 - 11:07 pm

You’re right, Obama. We ought to punish anybody who thinks they have the right to get ahead in life. Those who work hard should have to pay more taxes than those who do not. A merit-based economic system is just plain evil.

Stupid liberal.

Bobo   August 21st, 2008 - 11:08 pm

No stupid. The question was NOT: “How many homes”, but “How many HOUSES”!!

You’re an idiot for not being able to read or understand the difference.

The McCains own 4 HOMES. The rest are investment properties. If you ahve a problem with that, then you’re just another Communist who would begrudge people their success.

lou dobbs fan: “Wow Mccain, you dont know how many homes you have? Must be nice, when most Americans cant afford the (one) home we have.”

Sharing   August 21st, 2008 - 11:19 pm

Homes for individual families are killing our planet. We MUST migrate to urban and communal living. This is much more efficient and does less harm to our planet.

Obama will level the field of fairness for our society. This will remove envy and greed and force everyone to work together. We will finally end an age of materialism.

Obama is the one!

GentleOne   August 21st, 2008 - 11:21 pm

Tax us to equality. A homogenous society provided by Obama. Take control Obambi!

dr jay   August 21st, 2008 - 11:33 pm

we’re all proletariats in the struggle to be free from capitalist pigs…….sounds great……never works……drink more koolaid.
level the field….hahaha

Craig Eliot   August 21st, 2008 - 11:51 pm

Tell you the truth, I’m tired of the oligarchy myself. But Obama–another pandering millionaire—is part of the problem, not the solution to it.

Only people with class envy will buy this ad.

CONGRATULATIONS ON A SUCCESSFUL LIFE MCCAIN! All Americans should aspire to this.

Eric   August 22nd, 2008 - 12:08 am

Yes anonymous, all men aspire to marry into the family of a multi-million dollar heiress…

If you can’t make your own way through life, find a rich chick :-)

tom   August 22nd, 2008 - 12:41 am

Rev Wright bought a 4 million dollar mansion on Obamas back and fraud, Obama bought a mansion from Felon Tony Rezkos payoffs to him, and William Ayers and his wife burns and blows up houses for fun. What a crew, lol.

anon   August 22nd, 2008 - 1:42 am

“If you can’t make your own way through life, find a rich chick ”

Hey Eric, that’s what George Washington did.

Logic Lee   August 22nd, 2008 - 1:43 am

How idiotic could Obama be to make an issue of McCain’s homes. This will backfire on him terribly when McCain’s people simply point out that he didn’t purchase any of them from a friend who is an indicted felon, who also helped Obama pull off a fast one by not paying anywhere near the market value for his home. Perhaps a new ad pointing out this irregularity might be in the works. I would suggest “Smooth Operator” as the background music.

America doesn’t need Chicago style politics in the White House.

Logic Lee   August 22nd, 2008 - 1:57 am

“Yes anonymous, all men aspire to marry into the family of a multi-million dollar heiress…

If you can’t make your own way through life, find a rich chick”

Oh yeah right Eric…..Every man should just go out and find a beautiful women that’s much younger than him and incredibly rich too! What an easy way to get ahead…….? I’m sure you have avoided rich and beautiful women simply on priciple….not that a beautiful heiress wouldn’t be interested in you??

breitbart sucks/drudge is a queer   August 22nd, 2008 - 3:49 am

Look at the pathetic white trash “bitter” Republicans squirming and weaving here like the rats they are.

They keep voting for Republicans, whose policies benefit only the rich, even though the white trash here will never be rich. But give them “God, guns, gays” and these losers will keep voting for tired old white men like McCain, you know, the guys with the real money that trash like Craig and tom will never get.

Bill Chicago   August 22nd, 2008 - 4:31 am

Can you say Tony Rezko? Shady real estate deals? Favors for campaign donations? Supporter and CONVICTED FELON?
What the hell are you guys thinking? Seriously, it’s like this is a campaign run by suicide bombers with ADHD.

Gregory Scott   August 22nd, 2008 - 5:21 am

Not At Fault:

“Keep the ignorant posts coming Jethro’s, I love knowing just what kind of moron still exists in this country.”

Oh, there are plenty of us, friend. And we’ll all be voting. Get ready to complain for another four years…

Bill5321   August 22nd, 2008 - 6:08 am

McCain does not own the houses because they belong to his wife.

Like Senator John Kerry, Senator McCain married a very wealthy woman.

Stupid ad from Obama. The more I learn about Obama the more I wish I voted for Hillary.
