I think it is stupid that it was made illegal— it was never a problem before, but it was illegalized due to the efforts of a gung-ho fanatic with an agenda. It’s just so sad. Over and over and over we see young people not only causing enormous pain to families all over this country, but also destroying their own lives. This young man will never see anything but the inside of a prison for as long as he lives. There are millions of others like him. It is so sad. How do we get across to young people the enormous consequences of their potential actions?

Gregory and E390, I don’t know of anyone that advocates legalizing crack. Care to introduce me to them? Also, let’s see how many people have gone on homicidal rampages while high on marijuana. How many deaths have been caused by smoking weed (not to be confused with “I started smoking weed then moved to hard things”) vs. deaths resulting from actions taken while inebriated (e.g. bar fights, drunk driving, etc.). Sure, there’s the argument that crimes have been committed as a persuit of obtaining weed (theft, armed robbery, gang violence, etc.) but I’m trying to find out what crimes have been committed due to alterations in judgement caused by THC vs. alcohol. I’m not an advocate of marijuana leglization, but I don’t think you have a leg to stand on when you try to compare legalizing weed to crimes committed by a crackhead.
