yes…odd indeed. might as well go to the pet semetery. when they die, they die. It should be left at that.

I don’t know and could care less about the moral/ethical points here, this is a wonderful step forward for science however.

With additional research and development, this would be a very good method of helping to preserve endangered species, or providing existing ones with methods of coping with environmental stresses.

Just what we need, more Pit Bulls. I’ve been involved with dogs for many years and I’ve nevere heard of a Pit being used as a service dog as they’re not considered stable. Did you know that almost 60% of the dogs owned in California are Pits?
If the DNA donor was a champian show dog, I could maybe understand trying to continue the line, but even that goes against what breeders strive for. They look for the best traits to breed and as there is never the “perfect” dog, it would hard to convince good breeders to use cloning as part of a breeding program.

That woman is living in a dream world. She mortgaged her house to do this. I guess its her money though. Personally I’d be worried about their health given the history of other cloned animals.

the purchaser of these critters is someone well known in the UK in the 70’s who is some sort of mormon sex freak who chloroformed/kidnapped/handcuffed/raped a fellow BYU grad. there’s a lot more about Ms McKinney on Fox news.
No, I am not making this up.
