I’m not sure how a campaign ad that talks up how great and inspired your opponent and his supporters are is supposed to catch traction in the minds of the public.
Is he ready? He looks pretty darn ready to me in every McCain campaign ad I see…

This was Hilarious, this is the best political AD I have seen as far as I can remember. It pointed out Obama is an emperor with no clothes, without being a nasty ad. It used real footage and put the arrogance and out of touch personality of Obama into perspective.

I know by all the complaints from the Hussein supporters that this ad hits pay dirt. Some even mention that it is a slap on the “Hope” he projects. Now THAT is funny. I actually think that ad is Pro-Obama. I think the Republicans are just promoting their jealousy and anger that Obama has motivated his base to the point of reverance. This in it self is challenging however you cannot lie to people and expect them to look at someone like Obama as a positive. He doesnt play dirty like the Republicans do.
I also think that mocking the scripture is blasphemous. It shows the Republican’s lack of respect of the bible, no one knows who the savior will be. Many do think that the modern day conservatives would castrate and demonize Jesus if he was resurrected and walking with us today. Republicans use the word of God as a bludgeon to create chaos and despair just as the Terrorist due to the Koran.

This another good ad and another example of what is needed to pop the Obama-MSM bubble. The Britney-Paris-Europe ad did a very effective job of labelling Obama as an empty celebrity. He deserves that label. He earned it. The tour of Europe and the rockstar appearance at Germany’s most important monument screamed empty rockstar. The speech that he gave at the German gate screamed empty idealism. Together, all of that screams “juvenile.” So, Obama asked for the Britney-Paris connection. Why not give it to him?
Now, in a normal election year, one would expect Obama’s juvenile antics to bring about his own destruction. But this is not a normal election year. The MainStream Media are firmly in Obama’s grasp. They present Obama’s juvenile events as worthy of praise: “see how the world loves him!” Some large number of voters respond positively to the MSM’s praise. That element must be tackled head-on by McCain’s strategists. Otherwise, McCain loses the election. The Britney ad did just what was needed. It said to the public and to the MSM, Obama’s rockstar events are worth just as much as Britney’s rockstar events. They are juvenile.
In any election, candidates must label their opponents in some negative way. In other words, you must encourage voters to recognize shortcomings and view them negatively. The hot air balloon that is Obama and the MSM must be popped. There is no alternative. The McCain campaign strategists created an ad that is a brilliant response to Obama and the MSM.

Now McCain needs to run an ad chowing how Obama has taken lines from Michael Douglas in American President and used them in his town hall meetings … such as in response to McCain alleging Obama was playing the race card, Obama said its serious time and we need serious people (paraphrase) almost a direct quote from Douglas. This top name but one of the dozens of lines Obama has taken from others. I’d like to see some real change, how about Obama giving credit to the original speaker for most of his good lines. No original thought with this guy.

This political ad by the McCain campaign group is brilliant, had hitting, and right on target. Obama has been treated by the media and others as the Messiah. He just has to appear onstage, and the crowds faint, cheer, and go into a “Obamagasm.” Its like a Mick Jagger concert or a Michael Jackson concert. Mocking hope is like mocking Dr. King after he gave his “I have a dream” speech. The way Obama speaks is how black folks in the black church have been speaking for years. We spoke about hope inside of the church because we were so downtrodden on the outside of the church. This is how we survived. We placed our hope in the desire to see a brighter day and a better day. We endured years of slavery, years of segregation and years of Jim Crow laws and even in the midst of that, we always spoke about hope. Our leaders spoke about hope. This is how we survived.
And guess what? I am an African American who votes republican and I do not plan to vote for Obama. But I do understand the need for our leaders to be hopeful. Was not Ronald Reagan hopeful? Did not he speak about a better day coming?

I find it very sad that our country’s future will be decided by these 1 minute “advertisements” because the majority of the electorate will not educate themselves on the issues facing our country and the solutions offered by the two leading candidates. Rather, they make emotional judgments based on innuendo, emotion, out-of-context soundbites, rumors, and lies. I noticed that most of my friends list their political leanings as socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I hate to tell you people, but that’s neither a democrat or a repuclican. That’s a Libertarian. (Yes, I registered as a Republican to vote for RP in the primary.)
Future won’t be decided by these spots. Rather the collective momentum that comes from the realization of the core of O’Bama. Humor is a gateway to questioning and reason. Give American voters more credit. We know, unlike many of our political leaders, that an actual energy strategy, diverse and inclusive of both new oil and new energy, will carry us through the short-term difficulties and contribute long-term happiness (the pursuit of which was called for by our founders). McCain is starting to get it. O’Bama tells us to pump our tires.

I am really disappointed in John McCain over his childish attack ads this week. I have lost a lot of respect for him. It’s a shame to see a great man who has served his country with honor and distinction stoop this low. His ads play to the very crudest in our society. I was looking forward to a policy-driven campaign from both Obama and McCain. There has been too much bitter partisanship since the Clinton years. Why doesn’t McCain put the country first? He once almost gave his life for his country. He stood for principle. Now, he is acting worse than the basest politician out there. Shame on him. McCain would like to wish he was a great and honorable man. But in reality, he is a puppet who will blindly do as he is told by his masters. McCain is probably delusional enough to start WWIII just so he can be president during it. He has killed lots of people and he seems to have enjoyed doing it. War gives him a way to do that legally and as president he would be free to do it on a mass scale. McCain does not love war because he think it does any good. War made his grandfather and father great and that is how he wants to be made great too. War simply makes McCain’s feel good. In a very real way, it is all his life has ever been about. As president, he would finally be given the ability to actually command troops. He was certainly never given that opportunity in is former military career for a very good reason…
So we’ll see what happens. Fortunately, it looks like McCain is falling apart long before the election…

Regarding the off shore oil drilling: At one campaign stop Obama is reported to state that he “would back” such a plan and at another stop he stated that he would “consider” such a plan. Can anyone elucidate on exactly how he made these conecessions to his firm stand on not drilling in the past. There is a large gap between “Yes we can” and “let’s ‘consider’ doing” Just asking!!

Things like oil drilling are real issues, I suppose, and are worth debating (whether they would solve our actual oil problems is another story, just like the gas tax holiday is a kind of gimmick).
However, if John McCain cannot run an ad that promotes himself, if all that he can do these days is run juvenile attack ads, then I think he – and we – are in trouble.
This is coming from a fan of McCain’s who is also very much undecided about Obama – not because he is a ‘moron’ (far from it) or because he thinks he is ‘divine’ (he obviously does not) – but because I do think he is rather inexperienced, which for some, could be a problem.
that said, I expect better ads and better campaigning from a guy who IS experienced rather than the old Bush campaign tricks, which ironically were used against McCain himself when Bush destroyed him in S.C., insinuating he had fathered an illegitimate child and that his torture bascially incapacitated his ability to think straight.

Socialism/Fascism/Communism are related very closely indeed.
To cook up an analogy would be the substitution of bread flour in a recipe with an amalgam of various flours and additives.
Now done right, this switch for a gluten-free result turns out to be every bit as good as the original.
Democracy for Socialism would be the switch would the example in forms of Government that this equivalent exchange analogy would represent.
However, it would have to be ideal forms of Democracy and Socialism to be realistically substituted.
Both develop serious imperfections when exposed to reality; however, these imperfections aren’t congruent. The American Government was created with this taken into account– modifying the democracy into a Constitutional Republic.
The same ability isn’t possible with Socialism because there is no accounting for the greed of human ego.
It spirals into Fascism when a single person and his advisers (not equals) takes control of the system and becomes its brain.
Communism occurs when again a single entity again seizes control.
Instead he shares the load of power with his advisers that helped get him there and while they each hold their own massive power (Minister Without Portfolio), they elect a single director/ (General Secretary) as the secret leader while they take public and private positions of power as their reward.
At their Core Communism and Socialism are largely the same.
The only major differences are the structural composition (Like comparing steel studding to 2×4s [you'd have to open or otherwise damage the wall to find out what's behind it]) and cultural differences.
Even though she is pretending not to be running, Hillary will be the nominee and this ad might help her. The ad is by far the best I have ever seen but NEVER underestimate the Clinton ability to manipulate the circumstances. Obama’s apparent win might even be part of the original strategy. I have no respect for conspiracy theories unless it includes the Clintons and I know of no limits to their creativity, ambition and ruthlessness.

We need term limits for the National Congress. Perhaps 18 years combined time? (3 Senate terms or 9 Representative terms or mix and match)
In fact the Founders had nothing good to say about a form of Government based solely on majority rule. (Like four wolves and one sheep discussing what’s for dinner.)
This train of thought existed until we had our first Socialist President… FDR.

I’m saying Democracy in any pure form is flawed because it is readily corrupted– leading into either anarchy then tyranny or a direct takeover straight into despotism.
The end result is the same, it lends power far too easily and holds no failsafes on preventing the seizure of power.
