Pray for the safety of the citizens affected.

Global warming is the reason for this earthquake. Buy carbon credits from me and then you can feel good.

Great, I’m sure gas prices will jump 30 cents a gallon now.

Ritty77   July 29th, 2008 - 4:42 pm

It’s Bush’s fault.

Everyone jokes about global warming. However, many people in CA are wondering if the many wildfires are causing a temperature gradient on the surface of the land that is activating earthquakes. We know that the wildfires are a result of global warming. Therefore, there is a link between global warming and the earthquakes.

A little thinking and reasoning makes it obvious that we are doomed if we don’t defeat global warming within 8 years.

Obama, Gore, we need you both right now!

It wasn’t all that bad. No real damage anywhere. Just a sickening, rolling feeling for about 10 seconds. Everyone around me had the same gut feeling at first that this was the BIG one, but after it was over we all realized that the real killer is yet to come.

Gore and his posse are azzes!

DeltaT, get a life and stop shoving your sh#t in our faces!!

I own a tree farm in N. California, and I can say without a doubt, global warming has NOTHING to do with the wildfires. You can lay that blame on the doorstep of enviornmentalists and the government they infuluence. The refusal to allow controlled burns, refusal to do selective thinning, and this idea that the forests are “pristine” and should never be touched. Nature is not stagnant. If we’re not allowed to clear brush or sick/dead trees, nature will take care of it for us, in the form of fires!
Global warming? NOT! Ask any farmer or logger, someone who knows the value of working with nature.
Hey Delta, do you know what the Redwood forests looked like 10,000 years ago? There was no forest, it was all glaciers. What do you think it will look like in 10,000 years? No matter what you think or do, it’s not going to be what it is now, and it’s arrogent to think any different.

DeltaT,

If you knew how much carbon is being pumped into the atmosphere from the wild fires, you would be in your fetal position calling for mommy.

By your logic, since the fires are releasing so much carbon, your conclusion should be that the fires are causing global warming. But, global warming is causing the fires. So, as usual, you are chasing your tail and yelling for someone to do something. Suggestion, chase away, but just get out of the day to day way of the rest of us.

Have fun and wear a helmet.

The global warming creeps are all over this crap… as if it were a real earth shattering event. It’s NATURE people… she’s been doing this for millions of years. Long before mankind started leaving carbon footprints… or ANY footprints on this earth,

Idiots! Yes, it has happened, and yes it will happen again… even after mankind has been killed of by Muslim ideology.

Mankind “ain’t all that”, folks.

It’s only a well known fact that there are major fault lines that converge in the CA areas and how active they are, even if not noticeable all the time.
As Maynard James Keenan said in one of his songs:

“Ive a suggestion to keep you all occupied.

Learn to swim.”
