I wanna read comments about this.. what is really going on!

BeEtLjOoZ   July 24th, 2008 - 9:26 am

I guess if it’s not on the front of Drudge, that means it’s not true. :P Seriously though, many high profile people are now making similar claims. It will be interesting to find out why they would say these things if NOT true. And IF true. Wow!

This is one of the better documentaries that I have seen on the subject.

olddog   July 24th, 2008 - 10:25 am

Amazing this comes out the day before Mulder & Scully reunite on the big screen. Every pic I’ve ever seen of “UFO’s” looks like dust on the lens or floating dust in the lens of the camera.
Still not convinced.

Beam me up Scotty!!

looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 11:22 am

That’s too bad. He’s made a more fantastic journey than 99.9% of the world’s population will ever get a chance to do, yet he’s completely cracked up. Sorry folks, no such thing as aliens from space, or space ships from far away galaxies. I for one think it would be beyond fantastic if they were “here”. But no, space travel is a technological leap that will take another hundred generations to achieve. An alien species didn’t travel here to abduct cows and hillbillies. This guy is a nut who’s fallen to the conspiracy theory crowd.

Political_Girl   July 24th, 2008 - 11:28 am

Ah, the skeptics begin to speak. Even if a little grey alien came to your house, took you upon their ship, probed you, brought you back, you still would not believe! It’s hard to believe any of this when we’ve had religion shoved in our faces all our lives! I want to believe, but if they are real, are the really our friends? Doubt it! They probably view us .. as humans do animals .. no real intelligence – when the truth is .. animals are highly intelligent — we just can’t communicate with them as we do ourselves. *shrugs*

How can anyone who has NOT been out in space say there are NO ALIENS! Our government will never expose the truth to us common civilians.. Our religious rightous A-Holes would Flip-out! LOL

Political_Girl   July 24th, 2008 - 11:34 am

one more thing … if we can visit Mars, then what makes you think others can’t visit earth? Hummm? Science is amazing and our technology goes beyond what most of us comprehend.. after all, most people under 25 DON’T READ – wonder if they remember what a book looks like. Do some research on Tesla and his projects .. imaging what he would be doing if he was alive now.

Funny, all governments outside of the USA – and their people believe in UFOs …

Crazy old man rant the end.

Ok, let me get this right…Not only do you LIE to me on a regular basis, you now want to charge me more for doing so?

Well Pinch, it’s been fun but sad to say it’s also been so over. Your ‘uber alles’ Liberalism has combined with your managerial ineptitude, and this reader says ‘NO MAS’ to the NYT…

Me   July 24th, 2008 - 12:46 pm

Looney Tunes, you can definitively say that there is no such thing as other life out there? Or are you saying that no alien life has been to earth?

I think if anyone truly had even the smallest conception of how huge our galaxy is, let alone the whole universe, they would know it’s an argument out of spite (or worse religious zealousness) to say “Sorry folks, no such thing as aliens from space, or space ships from far away galaxies” ~Looney Tunes

Check out ‘The Drake equation’. Or let me guess he is just a flake too?

PolitiP   July 24th, 2008 - 12:50 pm

Stop picking on Looney Tunes folks. He/she is limited by their perspective of the world. In Looney’s universe, the vastness of the universe could never ever harbor beings that are more advanced than God-fearing humans.

Stop watching FOX and pick up a book.

PolitiP   July 24th, 2008 - 1:06 pm

Bobo   July 24th, 2008 - 1:09 pm

@Me:

You’re an idiot. Nobody has said that there’s no life out there. We’re all saying that there’s ZERO proof that any alien life has visited this planet. Just a bunch of mental midgets who think that “what if…?” constitutes a serious intellectual position.

“Looney Tunes, you can definitively say that there is no such thing as other life out there? Or are you saying that no alien life has been to earth?

Political_Girl what makes me think if we can’t visit mars aliens can’t visit us??? Are you serious. That can’t even be called apples to oranges. That statement alone discredits anything else you say. If the distance between Earth and Mars was equated to a period the nearest solar system to our own is still light years away.

looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 1:31 pm

No you fools, I’m sure beyond any doubt that life exists in the Universe. The vastness is more than any of you can comprehend. I would bet that most of you think the sun is a continuously burning nuclear furnace, right? And that black holes, dark energy, dark matter, the big bang and all of the BS that we’ve decided is absolute fact is true. I actually believe more along the lines of us existing in an electrically based universe rather than gravity. Anyone who has taken even a remotely remedial physics class knows that gravity is the weakest of all forces, while electricity is at the top. Some interesting reading for anyone wanting to actually expand their minds without smoking dope and bashing religions:

http://www.electric-universe.info

It delves into broad based topics of galactic formations based on plasma interactions which can be reproduced in a labratory rather than stars “crashing” into each other. With additional topics of world-based mythology where civilizations separated thousands of miles created legends on solar events not explainable in todays technology of a giant campfire in the sky.

Yes, Political-Girl I’ve read tons on info on Tesla. He was beyond a genius. However, the information I read on him is not the conspiracy theory stuff that you apparently believe where the government took away his death ray and focused energy weapons, but his experiments into plasma physics.

Me. I’ll read up on “The Drake Equation” but I bet its a lot of conspiracy theorists.

My original statements hold true. Sorry folks, no aliens here.

Enough for me, back to abducting animals and hillbillies in remote sections of the country. Ha.

Nark nark   July 24th, 2008 - 1:34 pm

I believe there is life out there. whether it be intellegent or not idk. I want to believe UFO sightings are real but the proof that is shown is really skeptical. Every shot is blurry and every story is well…a story. Why would we just see flight objects? Kinda strange if you ask me for some ufo to be buzzing around just people watching. Are we seeds from another place!?

Me   July 24th, 2008 - 2:04 pm

Looney Tunes. That’s cool, I was just curious as to if you thought there was nothing at all out there.

And so you know the ‘The Drake Equation’:

This equation was devised by Dr. Frank Drake (now Professor Emeritus of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz) in 1960, in an attempt to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy with which we might come in contact. The main purpose of the equation is to allow scientists to quantify the uncertainty of the factors which determine the number of such extraterrestrial civilizations.

So I would say nah not a conspiracy nut job at all. : )

Oh and nice manners Bobo. Isn’t there a Nascar race on or something?

crakerjax   July 24th, 2008 - 2:12 pm

I may have been wrong about this guy being a qwack. I mean it is possible aliens walk amongst us. Just look at floppy-eared BO, he looks alien to me….

Political_Grrl   July 24th, 2008 - 2:16 pm

Whooo! Whooo! Whooo! Don’t lunge your anger at me! I’ve said made no statements directly to anyone on here, so back off! For my statements have been merely a generalized ‘You’ – the ‘you’ being the skeptics! My mentioning of us being able to travel to mars – was me merely stating that if we can travel to other planets, then other life forms have may have the intelligence and technology to travel to other planets and Earth could be one of them. Maybe the travel via black holes, or other dimensions and\or could already be here on earth – i.e. under ground, or living in our oceans. We don’t know – and if the truth is ever revealed to us, would we even believe them?

I just finished a great series by the Author L.A. Marzulli. The first book of the series is Nephilim, 2nd The Unholy Deception, 3rd The Revealing. I enjoyed all three books and I highly recommend them! Although fictional, they make you think!!

Agnostic   July 24th, 2008 - 2:27 pm

Looney Tunes, Not trying to flame you, but can you explain your logic in this statement: “But no, space travel is a technological leap that will take another hundred generations to achieve.”

I don’t see how our level of technological advancement has any bearing on the potential technological advancement of other entities. Are you suggesting that all life on all (living) planets came into existence simultaneously?

Perhaps you mistyped, or I am misinterpreting, but that would seem to be an awfully earth-centric view. Analogous, perhaps, to the belief that the heavens revolved around the Earth.

looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 2:35 pm

Political_Grrl, I suggest you take your Prozac. I have a complete contempt for anyone who takes drugs, even dope. Radial physics, a new concept, along with its radiphonduphonic offshoots, mainly paradialectic neutrino catalytic boosters show a definite surge in incidental, as distinct from background radiation. Make no mistake about it, there IS life out there. In time, drophonic plate technology, driven by nano robotic zimbalistic trihexic contour mapping of hexatrihatridinal objects will SHOW the vectors, that is to say, the precise area of space from whence these incidental signals merge into the megneto-pluntintucialad spectrum. Let’s hope it comes before the Rapture, of course. God is great.

Political_Girl   July 24th, 2008 - 2:40 pm

Looney – your last two sentences says it all – your one of those I’m an almight rightous christian! Enough said!

I don’t do drugs, but thanks! Have a great day!

looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 2:42 pm

@Agnostic, your meta-satanic gambols are no more than a distraction. As I instructed P_Girl, once the gravitational pull is equalized (preferably by an under-reactive specular thrombal drive modulator, or, failing that a geo-giga-nucleic thabsindeophalicsteroptial turbo-reactive dipler ray synthesis) THEN and only then will space travel be economical. I have calculated that it would take 3,453 times the total GDP of the top 50 developed nations, for 500 years, working 24/7, to get the technology to the stage of producing even a crude prototype. As to the question of whether all life began simultaneously, well this is made plain by Holy Scripture. Needless to say, this is to be interpreted in the context of a Parmenidian Block, which what Einstein, somewhat reluctantly, admitted to my grandfather in the late 50s. Praise the Lord.

looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 2:46 pm

crakerjax, you clearly do not know even elementary particle physics. What do you mean I have BO? I use anti-perspirant and wear a tie. As for your crackerbox theory of the lunar landings, I have to say that they are as naive as your syntax. Make no mistake, there is only one god and that is not allah. Hose Anna.

Alien dude   July 24th, 2008 - 3:07 pm

Wow, you guys are great entertainment. A scientist says that there is life on other planets, that they have visited us, and you start fighting!
What is so amazing is that there is an actual population of people that will believe in Mythology with no scientific basis, but won’t believe what people experience on a regualr basis today.
Why is it when someone got a “message from God” 500 years ago, it’s a “fact”, but if someone talks to God today they’re a “whack job”?
The same with Aliens. There are many references to otherworldly beings in all of the Bibles, so why isn’t that enough for Christians?
Face it, they must have run into so many people with wings, that they indoctrinated them into their belief system and called them “Angels”.

And people, keep this logical and leave politics out of this.

RB   July 24th, 2008 - 3:12 pm

I have read a few article over the last several months and have noticed that more and more statements and comments are coming out and the press is starting to actually print this, which is most curious considering they never put this out until they are told to do so and for years have made a mockery out of anyone who ever reported anything alien or any UFOs. My view on this, is that this is all part of a great piece of deception aimed at convincing people that aliens exist and may be hostile. This would further the view by those who want to dominate this earth that we know about such aliens for some time but have been working with them to keep the peace and whatever BS they can try to use to influence the world. This way, people will be confused, mislead, and will be more willing to listen to, follow and believe anything the government tells them after God raptures the church. Alien intervention will be the message told to the shocked and overwhelmed people of the earth after millions suddenly leave this earth all in a blink of an eye. The Bible tells us that there will be signs and sights in the Heavens and not to worry about them, do not be deceived, God tells us. If these astronauts, who claim to be men, why do they now speak of such things, only now, and if so, why isn’t the government coming out and speaking against them, or even allowing them to live another day after making such claims. There should be thousands of former and current workers at NASA who should also come forward as they would have seen the video feeds and pictures that some claim exist of alien landings and crafts. This is fueling the debate on whether or not there actually exists any one or thing from another planet. Billions and billions of dollars have been spent on SETI and other high tech equipment and now some old man comes forward to say that aliens exist? I for one don’t buy it at all. One more scam to miss lead the sheeple, especially here in the US. God didn’t put us here to have us destroyed by aliens or anything else. We are doing a great job at that and all with no help from aliens. If God did allow intervention, Lucifer and all the other angels would have been allowed to come down here and physically assault us in more ways than one. The only thing God did allow was for man to have an independent choice in which Satan, could not physically interfere, but only through deception and thought but could not impede our own free will. We either pick God or we pick Satan. I would be interested in seeing what or how any of the networks respond to this or even if the government takes a position on this. Plus, with today’s technology, I can take old video and pictures and make it look, by editing the footage, that something existed when in fact it did not, and get thousands if not millions to believe it. As long as it looks good and the equipment used is powerful enough, people today will almost believe everything they see. Just think how many people believe that we landed on the moon and none questioned the ability to overcome all the technical hurdles to do so. More people today, than in any time that I can remember,(I have only been on earth for a short time) almost never question anything, and if they do, most ridicule them because they know not themselves. Give it another week or two, and someone will show us that Batman was on the moon trying to keep us safe from the aliens so that Gotham City(America) will be left intact.

If there was life on Mars (which is not only possible but probable with the discovery of ice/water/underground lakes on Mars) it is pretty obvious to me that there is a great chance of intelligent life in the Universe well beyond our intellect.

But Christians have told me otherwise.

Caine   July 24th, 2008 - 3:18 pm

I do believe in aliens…in fact, there is recorded historical evidence of one coming down here and living among us.
Of course, we killed him in the end.

KR   July 24th, 2008 - 3:29 pm

This famous quote comes to mind,

“Sometimes I think the surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us”

If a higher intelligence that is advanced enough to possess the technology to visit is indeed observing us, it makes a lot of sense for it to be a cover-up. There’s no reason for them to interfere with humanity YET. The government doesn’t want you to know, since they obviously can’t do anything about it and a helpless government is never a good thing.

the real looney tunes   July 24th, 2008 - 3:41 pm

I think most reading posts from the real looney tunes can figure out which ones I write vs. which ones fools write. I actually don’t believe in what most would perceive as God, but I absolutely recognize the need for religion in society. So I neither bash religions nor the non-religious. I do however completely disagree with those who attempt to destroy religions.

Political girl, et.al. No I don’t believe life spontaneously began throughout the universe. However, neither do I believe the sci-fi warp space, worm holes junk to transport us from solar system to solar system let alone intergalactic travel. We have the tools right now to detect far off solar systems like ours. Physics determine the speed at which information can be obtained. As far as travel goes (discounting wormholes, warp drive or whatever) let’s assume a factor of ten above that for an uber-advanced civilization. They can’t detect “us” even with their advanced equipment we’ve only been “advanced” for the blink of an eye, the best they could do is see a planet capable of sustaining life. You imply that they just up and set out for this planet they see that is truly in the middle of nowhere (at the end of an arm in the Milky Way paraphrasing Douglas Adams) and head our way to arrive one million years after the initial detection of “us”. THAT is why I say aliens aren’t here, haven’t been, and won’t be. Say sometime in the distant future we become an intergalactic civilization, then we may make some type of contact with other beings, but not before. You like sci-fi, you want to do some thinking, check out the link I sent at first its extraordinarily interesting. A follow up site to that one (and linked to each other) is:

http://www.thunderbolts.info/tpod/00current.htm

This links to short articles that are posted daily (maybe a few minute read) on a variety of subjects.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d like Star Trek to be true, I’d like aliens to exist (by which I mean be here) I’d like to travel to distant worlds, but we can’t and they don’t. Dark matter spaceships, no, that was the necromongers in the Chronicles of Riddick. Wormholes, nope, Deep Space Nine has that covered, travel on our own with some amazing engines, sorry, Earthstar Voyager and Star Trek have that wrapped up.

@Me. I have heard of the equation, just could not recall that name, you’re right, not conspiracy. However, at the scale of the Universe, we have no ability to even estimate the size let alone other worlds/beings/Earths…

Enjoy. Everyone else, try to use some brains, at least a little.

Crazy Melodies   July 24th, 2008 - 4:10 pm

Alright, I’m back to using different monikers every time. Those who actually read the comments will surely figure it out. Another good sci-fi book is the Jupiter theft. Basically an advanced species that figures out how to run a spaceship around a planet until critical mass is reached at the theoretical lightspeed. They then deflect the trajectory and begin accelerating through the cosmos until the gas giant’s energy has been expended. The rest of their civilization is pulled along by the gravity of the gas giant. Pretty interesting, makes you think (@Political Girl).

Shawn   July 28th, 2008 - 12:19 pm

I am a religious nut. My pastor absolutely believes in these “aliens”, but he believes that they are actually nephilim half fallen angel and half man who will pose as beings from outer space and confirm evolution based on observations on a world far different from the pre flood world which also had nephilim in it if you know your Bible better than Penn and teller or Richard Dawkins who by the way rip the Bible verses out of context almost as well as the Devil himself, so actually if theses aliens turn out to be real I will be exhillerated to the point of my faith being shockingly bolstered by this supernatural event.

G NICO   December 25th, 2008 - 9:26 pm

I have just read all of these comments. I have this to say on the matter. We as man cannot explain away everything. Science cant explain everything no matter how hard it tries. If what that astronaut says is true, that changes things on many levels for us as a civilization.
I’m sitting here thinking if aliens of any kinds or of many different types exist, what are their purpose of visitation? To let us know that they do exist and we are not seeing things. What kind of effect will it have on the many different grounds of religion?
Why are there so many reports, documents on them if they are not true. With all that we know, and with all that is coming out that was hidden, how can we still be in denial of the possibility that life may exist very differently from our own.

Case in point; Roswell incident, something happened there. no one believes that weather balloon story, or the crash dummy story.
The Arizona Phoenix Lights was seen by many all at once including those in working uniforms of many types.
Then there is the infamous Betty & Barney Hill story and the drawing of a star map which includes zeta 1 reticuli among others before there were a way to look that far out is something in itself.

All of this is very intriguing to me, there are way too many accounts out there that support the possible existence of life different from our own. For a very long time regular everyday people have been witnesses to seeing an alien, ufo or being abducted in some way. Now it seems that those in uniform with more believable credibility are coming forward with whatever it is with what they know.
What if it is all true? Will a worldwide panic ensue. sightings isn’t only happening around the united states but around the globe. We can only dismiss so much. There are things going on beyond our understanding, beyond our logic. We can only be left to wonder. Asking questions with questions and not being satisfied with half baked answers.
The question that should be asked is “are we ready to know the truth?” I know that the government doesn’t think so.

I have pondered a question to myself recently with what I have been personally dealing with. That being, if there is alien life out there or here, how many of them that we know of that are not violent and if there is those that are violent. How can we ready ourselves to defend against them. How can our government protect us?
My final response on this is that no matter how hard we try, we can never prepare enough for something like that. And without the technology to do so, the governments of the world can never protect us against a threat that is very unknown to us. We must think outside the box for a change. Our science can explain only so much. Everything involving this issue cannot be completely comprehended. I wish there were simple answers, there isn’t. I wish it was easy to deny what has been said about the issue for more than half a century by so many, including those in governments. I think that denial in the unknown possibilities is ignorant. Just because one doesn’t see what another may have does not mean that that person is not telling the truth. Maybe its not meant for you to see or know. Think about that.
