What an arrogant idiot!

Guess he felt he was entitled to free ObamaBrew.

Pepito   July 18th, 2008 - 2:47 pm

Maybe he can put his application in at Starbucks- they need someone to clean the floors and empty the garbage. This clown of a cop is typical of whats between us and the theives-a glitting jewel of incompetence. Thats why I conceal/carry.

President Blue Gums   July 18th, 2008 - 3:30 pm

Is he black? Yep, he is black.

Rapper   July 18th, 2008 - 3:55 pm

Looks like the “jig” is up! From the video, you’d think the guilty guy was white. Shame for not telling it like it is!

Cops Are Pigs   July 18th, 2008 - 4:35 pm

yeah, I said it. What you gonna do?

Wolfen   July 18th, 2008 - 4:52 pm

LOL what an idiot. Love it when the dirty cops get busted. Probably to stupid to work even at a Starbucks.

jbh50   July 18th, 2008 - 6:49 pm

Wow, the ex-cop wanted to administer the strong arm tax. Reminds me of someone else who wants to tax the sh#t out of us…Oh-BA-MA! OH-BA-MA!

jbh50   July 18th, 2008 - 6:50 pm

“I skipped over other officers for his promotion”

Umm, does anyone else see a problem with this? I have not doubt this meant that he was promoted not on his merits; one can only assume it was based upon his race.

He should be arrested and charged with dereliction of duty and robbery, perhaps even armed robbery. He figured he was smarter than everyone else, “I demand a polygraph.” Ooops.

We can only hope an pray that he loses his pension too.

Book 'im, Danno. Coffee 1!   July 18th, 2008 - 7:05 pm

Like Kramer on SEINFELD when he got unlimited latte privs at some coffee place.

Maybe this loser toughboy cop had too much caffeine??

Bard   July 18th, 2008 - 7:13 pm

Sad, another affirmative action hire disgraces another police department. Yesterday it was two New Orleans PD officers brandishing a gun in pick line at a day care and covering it up.

Alex   July 18th, 2008 - 7:15 pm

If this allegation is true, then the ex-cop is guilty of extortion, a felony, and his backside should be thrown into prison for a long time.

Just imagine what would happen if you or me had done such a thing. We’d be given no leeway. His actions remind me of a protectionist-thug.

The chief was right to can him and the case should be forwarded to prosecutors for further action.

Fagen   July 18th, 2008 - 8:18 pm

No police officer in any agency should be allowed to accept anything free or at a discount when on duty. They make as good or much better money than the average citizen and, as in this case, it taints their professional standing.
In my home town. Cops were instructed to refuse free coffee and leave money anyway if the owner refused to ring them up.
Response time bribery is the most common condition for these “bennies”.

Lt. Major Garvin   July 18th, 2008 - 9:27 pm

I like my coffee black – like my ass, women and reputation.

Kelly   July 19th, 2008 - 9:21 am

I can see him politely asking for a free regular coffee — or even the Starbucks giving him the free coffee as a kind gesture to a policeman on duty. But SIX specialty coffees in a shift? Pure greed. Gluttony. This guy wasn’t doing his job — he was busy thinking of, and spending his on-duty time getting, his Starbucks fix! Also, he’s probably overweight if he downed that many calories every day.

Woody   July 19th, 2008 - 11:06 am

The majority of cops are not pigs; however, this cop is the QUINTESSENTIAL PIG!
