Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow Loses Battle with Cancer at 53

"I spoke with his wife, Jill, this morning, and Tony was a fighter. He was fighting very hard, and he had had some recurrence of tumors. They were, I'm told, they were getting a little better. It was the complications that caused him to lose his life around 2 a.m. this morning at a Georgetown hospital," Snow's former producer Griff Jenkins told Fox News.

God Bless You Tony Snow. The world of Politics is better and could be even greater if they follow your ethics. You are sorely missed, And today the world is a greater place, just for having you with us for the short time you were here. Thank-You.

God Bless Tony Snow, a gentleman who inspired love, kindness and respect; may God comfort his family.

Finbar Rayan   July 12th, 2008 - 9:17 am

The lies and your contribution to the war on another nation killing hundreds of thousands; now go burn in hell. Not even this vicious war could have extend your miserable life. Great my foot. Thousands of our sons are maimed for life 70% now susceptible to suicide while scum bags like him lied on his fat salary and pompous livelihood. Good riddance America is free of one more liar. FOX your days are numbered as well, hope to GOD you all never arrive at old age too.

jbh50   July 12th, 2008 - 10:25 am

I am sure we’ll hear from other typical BO kool aide drinker. This is the type of lowlife that is a common supporter to the BO campaign. A hate-filled, bitter, dull edge. Sad someone can actually vote with that dull-edged brain.

Rayan, go on Huffington Post if you want to dump hate on the bereaved. You are lower than scum.

grik   July 12th, 2008 - 10:38 am

I am sorry he is dead. He was a mouthpiece for the administration long before he was hired. He was never reported on stories he only spun them.

Steve F   July 12th, 2008 - 11:27 am

RIP Tony you had more CLASS than most! Talented, fair, unassuming. When you spoke of re-modling your home and your family (and your animals) I could tell you also loved your family and Life in general. I am sure you will be missed for your fine work. Peace be with your family Tony. We miss your smooth voice and down to earth style. You were a man of the people.

Finbar Rayan, you pathetic little turd! I’d love to meet a little punk like you in person.

Tornado 27   July 12th, 2008 - 11:39 am

grik, you need smacked around too!

God bless this good man. Tony Snow was the most fair person to grace our news shows.

To Finbar Rayan and grik (the two idiot commenters above), and all you other Barrack Hussein Obama supporting idiots who spew vile hatred for anything not far left:

You are mean and rotten to your core… you are without a soul. You are glad to see this good man die, yet you were supposedly saddened by the passing of Tim Russert, and by the news of evil Ted Kennedy’s brain tumor situation.

I will never respect anyone of your ilk. You are uninformed; blind to truth and justice and fairness; and you are selfish beyond belief.

When you die… few, if any, tears will be shed on your behalf. The sooner that day arrives, the sooner our world will become a kinder place.

Airwick   July 12th, 2008 - 1:08 pm

Tony Snow’s passing is truly a sad occurrence. Those finding joy in the event are showing a lack of class. There are times when we should put our political differences aside and display a little decency. This, of course, applies to those of you who decry the “hatred” of the “Left” while you revel in the diagnosis of Sen. Kennedy. Your assumption that these postings are typical and indicative of Obama supporters is obnoxious and ignorant as well.

Hermit   July 12th, 2008 - 1:52 pm

God Bless you Tony,

You exemplified class, poise, and honor. (something that the likes of glik and finbar would have no concept of)

Sad to hear of the passing of Tony Snow. He was an intelligent honest hard working decent guy even though he was on the conservative side. I felt at the time he was making a mistake going to the White House. You could see the effect it had on him as time went on. Unfortunately, that situation proved fatal in Tony’s case. There are so few good conservatives, which only makes the passing of Tony Snow that more significant.

Sight   July 12th, 2008 - 8:37 pm

Finbar,

Have ID’d your IP Address. Just ID’d the provider. Will locate physical with a few inquiries.

FinbarTheSheep   July 12th, 2008 - 9:02 pm

I’m guessing that Finbar lives a pretty shallow life, focused on himself/herself. Not much more than that. Not much original thinking going on in that noggin. Just living comfortable in the herd of sheep. Finbar continues to look for a gentle and understanding shepherd to provide protection and provisions. Finbar currently believes that Obama is his new shepherd.

He has determined that Mr. Snow was a wolf. Finbar is crying for protection with his post.

Rover   July 12th, 2008 - 9:29 pm

Hey “Sight”! Come on over here and get “me too”!!!

I bet I can fulfill your “confrontational” needs you mindless looser :D Bring your old AK-47 so you are not under gunned and gain about 200 pounds there my tiny little buddy :D

But, of course, Finbar’s comments were out of place on this one… Tony was trying to earn is $163,000 for his family just like Saddam’s clown Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf…

We have all had “bad” jobs… I certainly have… But one of my most pleasant memories of Tony Snow’s tenor at the modern white house (he worked for H.W. Bush too) was to find out I was making more money that he was! :D I know that is sort of evil and all sad now… Especially in seeing that his job there might have contributed to his early death :(

But that is one time this odd guy out there named Tony Snow sort of made old Rover’s day… I remembered him after that and saw that he was a “con”, but sort of an honest “good” one!! Good conservatives are so VERY rare now, and so many have become real criminal “con”victs… But Tony was obviously different in that he was decent!! Even the old attack dog Rover can’t bite that s*** ;)

Tony snow was a really good guy! He might have jumped onto the wrong side of the political ship, but he was still a good person that was not trying to destroy everything around him for his own personal gain unlike so many others on that ship’s side…

Tony had a great life that we can all look up to, respect, and honor. It may seem odd that Rover would come to the defense of Tony Snow. But not at all when I am just honoring a “Real American” who only wanted to make our country better for everyone without being a total self serving a**hole doing it…

OurDays   July 12th, 2008 - 10:03 pm

Rover lecturing about “confrontational needs”. Wow, I thought that I had heard everything. The depth of denial is now to the point of being amusing. Rover is our resident clown, setting in his basement, monitoring Bretbart.tv, all alone and looking for a place to vent his anger. He is wishing he was much younger so he could understand mtv, text messaging, facebook, and able to be one of the KOS kids. Sad, but still amusing.

Keep posting Rover. You are entertaining. Use more caps when you type…. please!

Rover   July 12th, 2008 - 10:16 pm

@OurDays

I was just “clamping” the useless “Sight” sideline thread from this sad topic…

But the Tony Snow sadness is wearing off fast now…

But I “hold” now… This is not the thread to “fight” in…

Come look me up in the future though :D

Tony liked to argue and find the ultimate truth.

And shall we all find it…

OurDays   July 12th, 2008 - 10:21 pm

Not going to find truth here Rover, trust me. But, keep trying. Your search for the truth on Breitbart.tv is really fun to watch. Don’t forget to breath.

Rover   July 13th, 2008 - 12:42 am

@Ourdays…

Zero problem there :D

I have been “fighting” longer than most of my opponent-tards have been “living” :D

But I must disagree with you about the “truth here”…

I love the baseline hatreds and foul accusations that this particular forum developes…

Obama is a Muslim…. and Rev. Wright hates America…. Obama is a Christian and Rev. Wright is a f***ing Marine that gave up his collage “ticket” to fight for “our” country……]

http://tinyurl.com/6gq5ed

Those f***ups that fight those facts are obviously for a county far different than we cherish now…

“I” can’t change my country from the wrong course it faces… But I can tell you about it in a way never before possible…

RoverTruth   July 13th, 2008 - 1:09 am

And all conservatives are the devil in disguise. Obama and Rover speak the truth!

Viva Obama! Viva Rover! Viva Gore! Viva Acorn! Viva FARC!

John   July 13th, 2008 - 7:25 am

We need to spend more money on cancer and medical research and less on military spending. We out spend both China and Russia combined by 20 times. That is over kill, making the military industrial complex richer, if we took just half of that money and spent it on good sound medical research maybe people like young Tony would still be with us. Military conflicts are good for business and business is very very good. When are we going to wake up and get our priorities straight?

Tornado 27   July 15th, 2008 - 9:40 pm

Viva Shuddaphuckup, Dipstick!!
27 out!
