I’m sickened, and aghast. This blows my mind.

krute   July 2nd, 2008 - 2:36 pm

He should be beaten to an inch of his life. He could have killed that innocent 8 month old. At 16 years old he knows better and should be sentenced and tried as an adult. That is why I couldn’t be a police officer, though I’d save the taxpayers alot of money. Hats off to the police who come upon scenes of molestation or injury to innocents and have the internal controls to get them to jail. They wouldn’t make it 5 steps if I went to the scene.

Woody   July 2nd, 2008 - 2:45 pm

We ought to bring back public lashings and hangings. This stupid teen ought to be lashed 30-40 x; the video should then be put on youtube. That would cut down on similar activity.

Dumbass   July 2nd, 2008 - 2:45 pm

Where is Mary Right? Shouldn’t she be on here telling us how bad black people are, and how we should shoot them? Oh wait, this moron was white. Must be a statistical anomaly.

Get Real   July 2nd, 2008 - 2:53 pm

How could anyone do that to a baby? That teen is the product of bottem feeding parasites. He and his parents/guardians need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It’s horrifying to know that there are parents/guardians out there who would raise a child so totally devoid of human compassion. I encourage prosecutors to make an example of that teen, punishing him dearly for such dastardly cruelty. My heart goes out to that infant, and I pray for justice for him from the depths of my soul.

Eric   July 2nd, 2008 - 2:54 pm

This kids will get his when sentenced to some jail time… Big Bubba Black Man will make him his little b***h… I think his punishment will fit the crime, or maybe bubba will make it fit ;)

dswilli   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:08 pm

This is the current state of our country, do something stupid or in this case dangerous and get on Youtube. This halfwit needs to be dropped from about 20 feet onto concrete.

Sean   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:10 pm

If it were my child I would spend every penny I won to get those teenagers out of detention and back on the street.

String Him Up   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:28 pm

You know right from wrong at 16 years. He should be charged with attempted murder. That baby could have landed on his head/neck.

to dumbass   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:29 pm

Actually I find most of Mary Wrights incorrect comments are regarding jews. Thus far I’ve not read anything from her on gangster-out-of-control-animalistic-blacks that have not been right on the mark.

This kid should be lashed in public then placed in the stockade for three days and nights.

Oh, wait, we don’t have any functional punishments like that anymore. Maybe a vigilante group will catch him for a bit of tar and feathering instead.

Acey Ellyou   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:33 pm

The ACLU and the Democrats will do everything to get this teen off without any charge, because the concept of punishment is brutal and very red-state, and should be replaced with encouragement and sharing a little life lesson or two over a nice cup of tea. And the Democrats can’t be seen taking the side of the baby in any way, because that might be seen by their biggest contributors to somehow value human life at the developmental level of a non-voter and might sicken the pro-abortion crowd. It’s a difficult balancing act, but in the current justice system, I don’t think my gambling chips would be on the side of the baby! There’s just no money in it. I think the teen had his family have a huge monetary settlement coming their way!

Chester Babcock   July 2nd, 2008 - 3:37 pm

I would pay $10000 right now for the chance for 5 minutes alone with this kid. I promise I would get my money’s worth.

ruser1   July 2nd, 2008 - 4:18 pm

We are raising a bunch of psychopathic maniacs with no compassion. This is the beginning of the end. The old, disabled, very young, homeless, and most defenseless in (our) society are at great risk. Wake up parents and do your job….

Teen charged with shoving senior off dock
By Aaron Gouveia
Staff Writer
June 30, 2008
FALMOUTH – A 14-year-old boy was arrested yesterday after he pushed a senior citizen off a dock because he “thought it would be funny,” police said.

The North Falmouth teen – whose name was not released because he is a juvenile – was at Megansett Beach when the 2:20 p.m. incident occurred. Police said the boy ran up behind the 71-year-old victim, who was fishing off the dock with his grandson, and pushed him off the dock and into the ocean.

The man suffered lacerations to both knees and lost his prescription glasses, police said.

Although the boy fled into the woods by the Talk of the Town Diner, several people at the beach knew his identity and immediately called police.

Once arrested, the boy was allowed to make one phone call. Police said he chose to call a friend to “brag and laugh” about what he had done. police said.

The boy was held on $1,000 cash bail and transferred to a secure facility in New Bedford. Police said he will be arraigned today in Falmouth District Court.

Wondering...   July 2nd, 2008 - 4:23 pm

So a girl/woman can go into a clinic, get an abortion and not be charged with murder, right here in One Nation Under God, and this guy, including the look the other way when it comes to abortion Christians, wants to do away with this kid? He certainly needs his backside whaled on, but one poster asked how anyone can do this, and right here in America.

Bill Simpson   July 2nd, 2008 - 4:29 pm

This teen should do some time.

The child still may have some injuries not noticeable by Doctors or others. The Child could have been permanently paralyzed or Killed. What if the Child did become a Quad or Para? Who would pay for the lifetime care?

I say give the youth 10 years, have him serve 5 & 5 Probation.

If I knew who it was I would have his butt kicked by the local Bully or the local thugs. I will give 2 bills.

Of course!   July 2nd, 2008 - 4:42 pm

Wondered if some obtuse drone would make a political reference to this, and voila! Acey Ellyou comes in with some great insight.

Guess what, I’m an ACLU member as well as a Democrat…

And I say cane that kid in public.

kid needs to be tried as an adult. let him learn what its like to be thrown around by someone bigger and badder. total dumb ass.

E390   July 2nd, 2008 - 5:20 pm

Both boys need to be in jail. Youtube is a big part of the problem, kids are like goats and follow the leader. Parents today need to be parents but it is hard when schools teach kids that it is always somebody else who is to blame. The serial killer is the way he is because he was abused as a child, was an outcast in school etc. Bull crap. There are lots of “normal” people who have had terrible things happen to them in life and rise above. I say 10 years no parol, then 15 years probation.

Tomas   July 2nd, 2008 - 5:32 pm

Now someone needs to go to the cupboard and get out a can of Whoopass and open it up right on this boy after he gets out of the pokey. Nothing like a little whippin to focus the mind on how harming individuals who are helpless is a no-go.

momoffifteen   July 2nd, 2008 - 5:32 pm

This just made me want to cry. That poor little baby must have been panicked along with being in horrible pain!!!

Where in the world are the parents of these teenage boys???

It is like the Days of Noah….and the violence therein.

Nash   July 2nd, 2008 - 5:57 pm

Anyone know the name of the 16 year old kid who did this? Anyone have info? A facebook address, a high school picture? A town? Do your duty. Please post. If the jails don’t work, he can’t run from the internet.

Once his name and his deed are on the internet forever… He’ll never get a job, never get a partner, never be allowed to rear a family. We can finish him.

Kid should be sentenced the death penalty!

Chuck   July 3rd, 2008 - 12:24 am

^ I think he should be tried as an adult and suffer a daily butt raping at the hand of the other inmates for the duration of his sentence.

If this had been an adult doing this to a child they’d be locked up for long long time. I see no difference in giving this POS 16 year old the same punishment.

Airwick   July 3rd, 2008 - 12:31 am

Folks, GET A GRIP! This is a stupid sixteen year old kid. Sixteen year olds do dumb things all the time. He COULD have seriously injured the infant but he DIDN’T. You want to kill him or have him gang raped? He should be punished appropriately (and severly) but calm down and take a deep breath.

Right is Might   July 3rd, 2008 - 12:58 am

This happened because they have no respect for life. They are told by the MSM and ACLU that is is fine to kill unborn children by the hundreds of millions so they think what is the harm in bouncing a born baby around a little bit. They need to be taught respect for life.

He should get death by torture. Send him to Gitmo where they know how do these things, pull out his fingernails slowly one by one, hook up electrodes to his nuts until they fall off, pull his teath out one by one, pull his toenails out, then pull his toes off, waterboard him until he cries like a baby.Rip his guts out one by one and let the dogs eat him while he is still alive. If he passes out, wake him up with a really loud recording of a baby screaming. Bust his ear drums with it. Have the torturers dress up as babies so he’ll know why he is being tortured to death

Make the kid who took the video be one of the torturers, then do the same to him after the first kid takes his final whimpering breath. The parents of both these kids deserve the same fate, because none of this would of happened if they raised the kids right rather than staying out all hours of the night doing meth and drinking and wife swapping. Everyone else in either family who was not directly involved should be sterilized.

This is the only thing they understand. You have to set limits. If you let this kid get away with it, other kids will start to do the same thing but they will behave themself if you put the fear of God in them and let them know in no uncertain terms what the punishment will be, it is time we stopped coddling teenagers.

Ryan   July 3rd, 2008 - 1:54 am

I hope that baby’s parents go after every single punishment and judgement they can. Some people say cruel and unusual punishment is wrong, but I say in cases like this, we need to get old school. A couple flogging sessions wouldn’t hurt him…. much.

LiberalsCaused9.11   July 3rd, 2008 - 2:04 am

Your schools teach them there’s no God. That there’s no such as thing as evil, or right and wrong. Only shades of gray. If it feels good, do it.
Your liberal-run schools and society teach them that human life has no value.

How can you possibly be surprised by this?
The man you’re going to elect President thinks the way this kid does. What are you going to do about it? By the time we are enslaved by these leftist sickos it will be too late.

Eveleen   July 3rd, 2008 - 2:19 am

Baby certainly did not look like an 8 month old, and the boy playing it’s sick human cannon game with this baby…has some major issues based on ‘intent’ Did he intentionly know that the effect of his weight, would sling the child? Perhaps not…or if his intention was to physically hurt the child enough to grow up to be just like his brother?….all we know is what we are taught!

I do believe that child was more of a new born! 3 months tops. (former child photographer 25 years…would like to know the real age of baby. That would make a huge difference).

The comments on this are very typical. The person who did such an insensitive thing is a monster who must be destroyed. There are comments here that would like to point out that by 16 a person should have better judgement and therefore he deserves harsher treatment.

Cutting oneself off emotionally from the abuser and only trying to control him by force is not an effective way of alleviating the problem of abuse. This person is obviously someone who lacks either empathy with others or who acts impulsively and lacks judgement. These are correctable faults if people are able to continue to care about a person after they have made a terrible error.

Phil, Portugal   July 3rd, 2008 - 11:12 am

Distgusting. Give him the punishment that he deserves. I hope it is a female judge. She may bring back caning

On a sidenote, did anyone notice how many times they showed the baby flying in the air? Even though they took the video down you think one time would suffice. Msnbc.com showed it 17 times in this video! Isn’t that a bit ridiculous. I got the jist after the first time!

YouTube is only half the problem… every news network showing this over and over again makes the problem worse… As far as I’m concerned this is evidence in a criminal case. It should have been pulled from YouTube and then shown only at the trial. They don’t show photo/videos of horrific crime scenes on the news- why is this allowed?

Sorry render, but most here recognize a sociopath when we see one. Put him on all the meds you want? (Even hold his hand and tell him how much you care).

He’s inches away from successfully inflicting injury or death on another human being (in this case a helpless baby). Flush him down the toilet. There ain’t nothing worth saving.

Smackin him round a few times, before pulling the handle? We most certainly wouldn’t want to do anything like hurting his feelings now would we. Maybe we can bake him a cake? Give him a recording contract? How bout a fully paid guest spot on Dr. Phil?

I say flush twice (just to be sure).

GM   July 4th, 2008 - 1:34 pm

It appears fellow bloggers have a universal revulsion for this disgusting behavior. I don’t know what the courts will decide, but I’m thankful this isn’t the people’s republic of Vermont where he would get bailed out for $100 and get a stern warning as punishment. What does bother me is the hypocrisy of some portion of our network of “outraged” bloggers, assuming that this is a somewhat representative sample of this nation. Today, we still are a country that allows partial birth abortion. These are fully developed babies that are killed at the time of birth by placing an incision in the back of the head,(medical jargon for stabbing a baby in the back of the head) and attaching a vacuum device in the whole to suck out the brain. Some may say this is a different issue and they are right. This kid is an abusive teen, guilty of assault and child abuse, and showing a sociopath nature, the other issue can only be called legal and sometimes state-supported 1st degree murder. In light of that, what’s the big deal with this teen?

momtofive   July 23rd, 2008 - 7:21 pm

You know what I am going to write MSNBC there is ABSOLUTELY NOW WAY! this Baby IS 8 months old that is baby is under 6 months old you can tell by his body language I have 5 children. When I saw the beginning of this video before the baby was tossed In my mind I placed that baby at 4-4.5 months. Babies have stages they go through there are certain milestones they need to reach a 4-5 month old child has far less control of his body and head than this baby showed. Not to mention the cry of this baby is not that of an 8 month old baby. Why are they not telling the true age of this child? I agree this teen should be sentenced with some time to teach him a lesson, if they slap him on the hand with probation or a month or two in jail I would be outraged. Now do I agree that he should be give the death sentence come on people as hurtful it was for me to watch this when I have 5 children and protect them with my life death should be reserved for those that take another life. He is obviously a disturbed individual to to this to his own flesh and blood. This just proves if you can trust your own family members with your children who the HELL can you trust them with these days. I can’t remember did they mention what state this was in? Another thing I have to say so many have said the parents deserver the same punishment how stupid is that what evidence are you people basing this on that he is their son? there have been plenty of good parents that have kids grow up to be psychotic lets not forget anyone that has children know that children don’t understand why we as parents say no to certain things in life. They see it as we are mean we are not fair who is to say this stupid teen is not angry at his parents because they told him no to something he wanted to do or something he wanted to get which in turn made the kid angry or the new baby comes along and he is no longer number one parents are too busy then jealousy comes in. My point is that there could be many things that made this teen angry to do such a horrible thing. In my experience of being a parent for 22yrs you can be the best parent, the strictest parent, the Christian parent the loving parent each child has his or her own character and they each handle what life throws at them very very differently. Something can happen to all the children at the same time and each child will respond differently to it one may be traumatized the other may think it was no big deal, the other may act like it didn’t bother them but inside it torments them and they are afraid to tell anyone. Being angry at your parents doesn’t make this justifiable note to all those out here commenting “where are the parents” obviously there were not there! I am a parent and there are times when it is easier to leave my kids home with my oldest who is now almost 22 than dress them all put them all in car seats just to go to the store or post office. I allowed my son to babysit when he was 16 but I was more comfortable only doing so when they were all asleep why because there was less chance of them getting HURT! If we went out it was to a movie very rare but I don’t trust anyone with my babies so I sacrifice staying home. It is a shame that the parents are being accused for trusting their own flesh and blood to watch over their baby. I just hope the truth be told of this babies age and that the boy doesn’t get off easy.

momtofive   July 23rd, 2008 - 7:24 pm

Ok after digging I found the written report this is NOT an 8 month old baby the comment about the 8 month old was here.

“Pediatrician Donna King, who has 8-month-old twins, says the baby could have been seriously injured.”

we must of be so amazed at what we were all seeing we just heard that the baby was 8 months old which makes this case all the more alarming!

Kramer   August 23rd, 2008 - 12:33 am

I know his name. He goes to my school, he’s a great guy and my absolute bestfriend. You guys have no fucking idea what yall are talking about. God loves him just as much as he loves that baby, and He’s not in jail, just so you know, I saw him today, God has been with him, thankfully. You don’t know that baby, neither the guy. So shutttt up! I think you’re just as mean to be so heartless towards him, possibly even more mean than what he may seem like, because he wasn’t even intending on hurting that baby, which I’m sure he loved dearly. That boy who video taped it was the baby’s brother, and the ‘baby bouncer’ (I’m not gonna say his name) was helping the older brother babysit, and the parents of the baby still said they would let the boy babysit anyday, because they know what kind of person he is, and love him.

GET A CLUE   October 31st, 2008 - 1:50 am

First off, for the people that think that this is no big deal get a damn clue. Yes kids are pretty resilient but that type of crap could have seriously injured that baby, if not killed it. The baby was crying after the incident, that’s a total indication that it wasn’t happy with the damn launch and obviously hurt by it. The brother shouldn’t have gotten off scott free, he should still be punished and if it is true that the parent’s didn’t really give a damn that their son did that to their baby brother, then they are total idiots. There are several incidents in America today with a baby being killed, raped, or seriously injured and some of you people think that this was ok (to Kramer). ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS GET A CLUE. This is not at all a good idea to do to a baby nor was it right for him to get away with it.

Vanity Sin   November 10th, 2008 - 11:29 pm

You’re all a little like this kid. You’re all saying that for slinging a baby four feet he needs to be killed, raped, beat down.
Isn’t that a little inhumane? I hate what happened to the baby and I’m glad the baby is okay. But honestly an eye for an eye doesn’t make everything work out.

Besides, you want to teach a kid to not hurt people by hurting him? Doesn’t that max out the lesson? Give him an appropriate sentence and make sure until he knows better he’s never left alone in a room with a baby unsupervised by a responsible adult.

Aaron   February 10th, 2009 - 10:02 pm

You have got to be kidding me? This kid needs to be curbed, seriously. Post that on YouTube. What an idiot, I hope that judge really lays it down on him.

Is this dude mentally retarded or something like that?

I don’t understand why race was even an issue for this video. I read the other comments and see black this, white that… who the hell cares?? It’s another example of ignorance. Yes, the teen should do time.. but race has no bearing on this…. for all of you that commented on this video with racial epitaphs should also seek more education.
