Now McCain did go to the Naval academy and graduated 895th out of 899 graduates with the help of his Admiral father. So he is not too book smart… He seems to have spent most of his time partying and drinking himself blind… He discounts his Naval training as “Bulls***!”.

His flight instructor had this to say:

“I was John McCain’s Navy Flight Instructor — in formation tactics and air-to-air-gunnery. I could write a book about this man. Suffice to state, I shudder (and I’m fearless) at the nightmare thought of this man becoming our next President and Commander in Chief. ”

While managing to crash five plans in his short career, He also did manage to spend a whole 20 hours in combat (or at least flying in enemy territory). For which he got 28 medals like the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Three Bronze Stars, Plus a few dozen others… A far cry from the cowards that spent like 7000 hours in combat and did not get any medals at all… They had the wrong daddy…

He ignored the SAM missile warning system in his plane and flew in a nice straight line making the SAM missile hit easy and got shot down and captured. He had the best missile detection system on his plan at the time which apparently turned out to be a waste of taxpayer money.
As Donald Rumsfeld would say, he was “uncomfortable” after being captured, so he offered military information the the NVA. But the Vietcong really got excited when he told them he was the son of Admiral McCain:

Of course, then he got relatively great treatment since he was then a gold mine to the Vietcong. McCain then went on to give some nice talks and interviews for the Vietcong earning himself the title “songbird”…

When he got home he proceeded to go out and commit adultery and finally found his rich trophy wive Cindy. But that is a different story…

McCain is proud of is record just like he is proud of voting against the GI Bill. McCain ask his friends in Vietnam not to release any information they have on POWs. The North Vietnamese happily sealed those records for their best friend in the US government – John McCain.

Of course John McCain is proud of his service. Nothing like a good brainwashing mixed with old age to cloud his very flexible little mind as to the truth…

I did Nam..infantry in the delta. Some days they would come into the platoon and say ‘eagle flight’ or go ‘night abush.’ But it was “take the boats tonight” that caused my arm hair to stand even today. Kerry would protect us as we went. Worst job in VN…Bar None.
