He is second guessing a policeman who was on the scene when he has no more evidence than the suspect was BLACK! The man (BLACK OR WHITE) should have complied with the officer until he had shown proof of residency. A complaint was made and the officer is REQUIRED to follow up.

Is anyone besides me concerned that we have a president that can’t think before acting, even at the most basic level? Maybe Obama should spend a little more time reading the bills he is pushing so hard rather than screwing over some cop trying to do his duty. The cop is doing a FAR BETTER job than Obama is!!!

America has become a joke nation led by a joke president and a joke congress and soon the joke will be on you as you are taxed into oblivion. (to the tune of “Send in the Clowns”)

In addition to his lack of concern, maybe the 911 operator could have also taken a union break before actually dispatching a unit.

After hearing the apathetic, patronizing attitude of this pathetic 911 civil servant, I pray I will NEVER be in need of emergency services in Cambridge.

I can see it now- guy’s laying in the street bleeding, and the Cambridge 911 Op says, “How much blood? Did you see the wound? Are you sure it’s blood? Are there any French Fries or ketchup packages laying nearby?”

Congrats 911 Op- you are a credit to your union, and an inspiration to all citizens who take the time to become involved and report an emergency. I hear Obama is hiring operators for his new Nationalized Health Care system- you’re the perfect candidate.

Problem is that since most black students here in the US (or kenya Mr. President(?) ) never graduated pre-school and so they never got around to learning the basic rules when you get pulled over 1) respect the officer! 2) argue your case in court before a judge not to the officer!

First, please please, can we call the President of the United States, President Obama. I don’t support him and I didn’t vote for him but I firmly believe that we must respect the office of the presidency. It is important for our traditions that we must support and respect the office. Supporting and respecting the holder of the office is a completely different story. But out of respect for the office when writing or speaking, it’s President Obama or Mr. Obama!

President Obama made a foolish error. He has once again shown that his judgement in friends is lacking. The list is long, from Minister America Hater in Chicago to this Dr. Full of Crap. We have elected an empty suit. Start saving every penny you can and hold on until this terrible nightmare is over!

I would take issue with your statement that we should continue to respect the office of the president of the united states, as it’s function has been expanded to such a degree that it is not the office it once was, it is now an overpowered machine capable of great tyranny. Executive orders have destroyed the sanctity and the humility that was inherent in the position and distorted it to the state of de facto congress that can basically attach riders to any law in the land. Next election, we need to look less for the candidate the media is pushing down our throats (on either side of the aisle), and more to the man who speaks the truths others don’t want to hear.

In response to you, you wrote (office of the president of the united states…) in this sentence both President and United States should start with capital letters. I believe that we have dumbed down our writing to the extent that we don’t even show our great country the respect of writing its’ name properly. This is just my opinion. Most the of the time people (and I’m sure you) are very intelligent but are just not that concerned about the protocol of tradition.

I would like to know from you how the powers of the presidency have expanded?

For the most part I agree with you that both houses of congress have the ability to add to legislation in committee or in open session. That is the biggest reason almost every President since President Ford have asked the American people to push for the line item veto. This would give the President the authority to strike out portions of legislation. Lots of debate on the line item veto on both sides but it would certainly expand the powers of the presidency. I’m totally for it because it allows no one to hide.

CommonSense – How ironic!

People let’s get real, listen to the tape a woman calls and said she don’t know what’s going on, she saw lugged outside and someone went inside. No sign of behavior of a one breaking into the house, she said look as if they had a problem with their key. What was said when the police recieved the call, and how he responded really matters. then later all of a sudden they have a report of someone trying to enter the home, what happen then who took the call. All this was wrong and yes a gun and a badge makes one think a little outside of the box of protect and serve and more or less bow down when I show up and do not speak or say a word or you will be subject to the GUN and Badge. Perhaps he needs to stop training and sit in a position of learning about racial profile.
