Pat Tomasulo dunked on "Tyler" once before, and made him cry on live TV. Now Tyler is 5, and has challenged Tomasulo to a rematch.

water_buffalo   September 3rd, 2010 - 4:10 pm

no, your not aloud to have fun….I'm surprised some liberal attorney didn't serve this guy after the first bit, claiming child abuse…. that would be, welcome to the new world of obama and holder

CBrooks1976   September 3rd, 2010 - 4:36 pm

I remember thats video.
It's a little sad that so many adults are dumb enough to take it seriously.

MondayC   September 3rd, 2010 - 4:43 pm

Yeah, anyone who takes Pat Vs clips seriously automatically loses 600 credibility points.

Dave_in_Oregon   September 3rd, 2010 - 4:47 pm

HippoPolitic   September 3rd, 2010 - 6:29 pm

Is it any wonder that TV news is dying? Nice recovery at the end, but how low do you have to be to think dominating children is funny?

Tokyomatt   September 3rd, 2010 - 6:30 pm

Seems like the media love beating up on the little guys…

2010Sting   September 3rd, 2010 - 6:39 pm

No wonder the media is losing credibility

does this really pick up ratings??

jp2feminist   September 3rd, 2010 - 7:14 pm

This video is absolutely adorable. The humor is priceless. Go Tyler!

Chicago Ray   September 3rd, 2010 - 7:57 pm

exactly, he sucks at that as much as he does on the links. He just golfs so he can get stoned, smoke and drunk all day without anyone knowing about it ..

Chicago Ray   September 3rd, 2010 - 8:02 pm

I think so too. It was pretty funny and the children absolutely loved it here I know, being in Chicago I saw on the news. It's funny. Although I don't like when adults make kids say adult things for 'humor's sake' because they'll keep saying them forever….I did

jm1656   September 3rd, 2010 - 8:07 pm

i watch WGN every morning, Pat is not a bad guy, he is just trying too hard to be funny. Robin and the rest of them are actually the least liberal of the chicago media.

Frankie33   September 3rd, 2010 - 8:22 pm

If it is WGN he must be a cubs fan.

smellyfinger   September 3rd, 2010 - 8:38 pm

As a Chicago area resident and daily WGN Morning News viewer, I am very familiar with the Pat and his peers. They all are great fun, a very competent, good-humored bunch, and perhaps the most objective and conservative of television and radio broadcasters in 'Chicagoland'.

I admittedly was amazed and disappointed to note that supposedly literate adults either impulsively commented without viewing the clip, or are so concrete in their comprehension that they could not discern the obvious satiric humor of the piece. Please, people! Lighten up! With times so tough, it is rare that one can view the news and also have a laugh on occasion.

ycavaz   September 4th, 2010 - 12:35 pm

so cute, the height of the goal was too funny. LOL

NeoZorba   September 4th, 2010 - 12:57 pm

Well, if you wish to put aside humor to be analytic, Almost Dailey; instead of showing ego as, Pat, the sportscaster did, Tyler was a good sportsman, who ceased play to help Pat up after he 'fell' and 'injured' his knee. Tyler not only was a winner through good sportsmanship, but he also prevailed once more by winning the basketball match.

Let us hope "this guy", Pat, DID make an impression, and that the children who participated or viewed the clip also saw beyond the obvious satiric humor of the clip, that while winning is praiseworthy, good sportsmanship is, too…. an exceptional message for a sportscaster to deliver, aside from his usual reports about other winners.
