The thing that the rest of us understand is that the Democrats know what they are doing and see no problem with it. How incredulous it is that you won’t see this video or analysis of Pelosi and Reid’s accusation on CNN. Nowhere on the evening news will it even be mentioned that only a year ago, dissent was the highest form of patriotism and community organizing was a laudable goal. The NYT wonders why it’s going bankrupt, CNN and MSNBC scratch their heads and question why nobody is watching them. Economy was #1 but the real impact or lack therefof will not be crystal clear until 2010. REAL unemployment is in excess of 16% and growing and even Democratic labor organizations are pushing these figures (which include those not counted becasue they ran out of unemployment checks). “Where are the anti-war protests”??? There is no way a national plan can be sustained, this was stated by the congressional budget office.
As for the media, they are all in someone’s pocket and they tend todevelop their programs based on the people the target, all to make money. ABC, CNN, NBC spew the facts or lack of very much toward the left.
If any of this is too confusing for you to understand, get one of your liberal friends to try to explain it to you. or go to school and get an education.

The quality is not as high as in the States, but I think you already know that deep down. What will surprise you is that in Germany I pay 45% of my income (plus 20% VAT) in taxes and ON TOP OF THAT, I pay 650 EUR per month for basic government health insurance. Something tells me you would hate every country you’d live in. Unless you are lazy…Germany is a great place for people like that.

Right-wing attacks on President Barack Obama’s health reform plans have struck a nerve in Britain, where residents broadly take for granted their universal coverage under the state-funded National Health Service — and look askance at the millions of Americans without insurance.
“Land of the Fee,” declared the Daily Mirror in reference to the United States’ high-charging health model. The London newspaper called the “lies and distortions” being circulated in the United States about the National Health Service “truly sickening.”
“Jaw droppingly untruthful,” said the British Medical Association’s chairman, Hamish Meldrum.
“NHS often makes the difference between pain and comfort, despair and hope, life and death,” Prime Minister Gordon Brown tweeted. “Thanks for always being there.”
Even British health campaigner Kate Spall — who criticizes NHS failings in U.S. television ads produced by Conservatives for Patients’ Rights, a lobby group that opposes Obama’s plans — declared that the group had misled her and was distorting her true views. Spall’s mother died of kidney cancer while waiting for treatment.
“There are failings in the system but I’m not anti-NHS at all,” Spall told the British Broadcasting Corp.
“I help the vulnerable patients in our country that come to me for help, those that have been denied treatment,” she said. “So the irony is, the people that are falling through the net in the U.S. are patients that I would support anyway.”
Britain’s opposition Conservative Party is distancing itself from its maverick member of European Parliament, Daniel Hannan, who has criticized the NHS on U.S. news programs.

America is a center right country. Even if healthcare passes or cap and trade passes, there will be a groundswell of ‘throw the bums out’ during the next election. This illustrates the problem with right wingers: sometimes they do have a substantive point (e.g. that the Dems seem to be totally unsure about how to pay for whatever they are going to propose), but they are so busy lying and accusing that it kind of drowns out the point.

I have also heard that American oil companies do business with the tyrants in Saudi Arabia. That much is true. We buy from the sellers, whether we like them or not. However, the conflicting claims can not all be true. Put as simply as I can, we trade, because we are a commercial empire. We do not extract wealth from other nations. Since WWI, we have acted, strategically, to secure the freedom to trade wherever we had a buyer or a seller. Iraq is strategically located to block the oil trade, affecting us a tiny bit, and Europe enormously. We want Europe to make its strategic and commercial decisions without coercion from a hegemon in the Mideast.(Or, for that matter, in Russia.) The fairy tale explanations about revenge for attempts on Bush, Senior’s life or Oedipus complex or oil deals or whatever, make sense to a four year old. They make much less sense to adults.

If you believe all the BS they show at the Obama held town hall meetings, all those people love Obama and no one is objecting to what he says at these meetings. In reality, most if not all of the people in these meeting halls were able to get in with tickets sent to them by Obama’s people. They were hand picked to attend these meetings. The real cross section of people are not allowed in there. This is government controlled news reporting and propoganda. Most of the town hall meetings where anyone could get in represented a real cross section of people who showed the true feelings of the American people.
Whether Obama gets his health care bill passed or not is going to be the start of a big change in this country. The average citizen is resenting this being forced upon them. Your corn fed bodies will not stay healthy forever, and then you will enter into the nightmare of the current healthFAIL system or watch your loved ones suffer in it as I have. You will refinance everything you own to pay 30,000 overnight hospital and ER stays in a system with absolutely no spending limits as the hospitals and insurance companies continually one up each other.
You will be denied ER treatment as the poor masses flood into them because they cannot get help anywhere else.
Your just desserts are coming whether it is now or 20 years down the road when your body begins to fail or your loved ones do and hospitals still charge you $500 to change the sheets in your hospital bed.

The common citizen stands opposed to the Administration’s domestic polices and the indignation and outrage of the Democrat party allows them to demean their opposition with near slander. Then, on the heels of this hubbub is heard the voice of a more sober minded and deliberate group, that of law enforcement. They have sounded the alarm that “Hate Groups” across America may be encouraged to hurt politicians because of what the common citizens are doing.
Well now, first it was the Head of Home Land Security that gave rise to such an outrageous notion and now similar sentiment is voiced but with greater specificity.
Are our leaders about to use our discontent as the precedence for holding accountable anyone crossing a subjective threshold of unwarranted civility and/or seen to be manifesting hatred towards the president and those he desires to help?
I can’t help but wonder since this delayed echo returns and brings with it more clarity and relevance to current events that it begs the question can this be coincidence?
Granted, the groups of which law enforcement speak are not the main stream tax paying citizens seen holding their representatives accountable for their actions. Not at all, however, concerning these main stream folks it is said that the possibility exists that fringe groups are being encouraged to commit violence against politicians and in particular the POTUS. Wow, can lines be blurred further?
Given the hypocrisy of the Democrat leadership, vis-a-vis their current indignation over opposition groups now and their comfort with them in the past, I don’t think it too far fetched that they would latch on to this latest message from law enforcement and employ the rhetoric of political speech to allege that main stream citizens are guilty of encouraging sedition and fomenting hate. That latter charge aggravating the first charge, it’s a Hate Crime, and granting the alleged offences with a far greater priority on Law enforcement’s part to arrest those guilty parties with all due deliberate speed.
Furthermore, knowing Pelosi and Reid after listening and watching them over the last few years I have no problem believing they are more than capable of attempting to pull this off. I expect variations of what I am writing about to be given voice by those two and their surrogates in the near term if not as I am writing these words.
The more important question, however, is will the current head of the Department of Justice endow the Democrat’s rhetoric with power via the force of law such that the tactical rhetoric is fashioned into a weapon of much greater efficacy against the Democrat’s opposition? Why not, Eric Holder is the president’s man and as much an extremist ideologue as Obama is.
If what the head of home land security said about Americans several months ago gave rise to protests by Americans there had better be a louder cry of indignation and outrage over the idea that fringe groups and criminals are being encouraged in any way to do what comes naturally to them by the actions of ordinary citizens who have a constitutional right to freedom of speech.
Furthermore, if this latest claim had a seed of truth within it then the very claim would also be guilty of motivating extremist to violence. Therefore, it should have never been made public. Giving fringe groups the idea that the action of others is provocation for their violent acts is worse and irresponsible in that it grants license to unstable minds to commit those very actions of violence.
The refrain of the left in this country is getting tiresome but of greater concern is the palpable danger it suggests to our freedoms.
Beware the government that seeks your safety for underneath their concern is hidden the shackles to bind your feet and hands, silence your voice and steal the fruit of your labor.

What Anexio chooses to overlook is the fact that conservatives and liberals have both lost the moral high ground. It’s the independent vote that put Obama in the White House after 8 years of Bush shenanigans. If either group had a good game plan we wouldn’t have seen political races running so close number wise over the past decade.
The documented and highly visible fact is that govt. has an abysmal track record at managing anything. Social Security is circling the drain, Medicare and Medicaid (existing public healthcare?) are right behind it, Cash for Clunkers is an “on again-off again” joke, and Pelosi & Co. are throwing fits when someone calls them on wanting to pass bills fast (read that as “don’t read it, just sign on). I’m not the only one who’s noticed the stun-gun absurdity behind the liberal attacks on anyone who doesn’t tote their line. Exhibit A would be the constant attacks on those who protest public healthcare, after 8 years of hearing how our rights were being denied by conservatives I find it ironic that liberals accuse today’s protesters of being dangerous and un-hinged fanatics and working to silence them (Reid’s comments last week that anti-healthcare protests were “undemocratic”).

New FCC Diversity Officer Wants To Tax Radio Stations At 100% Of Operating Budget (Taxing Private Radio Into Extinction)
The Fairness Doctrine is Dead, But Here Comes the Chief Diversity Officer
Mark Lloyd has recently been appointed “Chief Diversity Officer” at the Federal Communications Commission. Conservative groups believe his installation is merely another way to impose the dangerous principles contained in the Fairness Doctrine.
Lloyd is a longtime Democrat activist who has strategized about ways to censor conservative media under the guise of “local accountability.” In 2007, he co-wrote a report that called for, among other things, the restoration of local and national caps on the ownership of commercial radio stations and fines for commercial radio station owners if their stations didn’t air enough “progressive” content. Those fines would go directly into the pockets of liberal competitors with fewer listeners.
“Our conclusion is that the gap between conservative and progressive talk radio is the result of multiple structural problems in the U.S. regulatory system, particularly the complete breakdown of the public trustee concept of broadcast, the elimina¬tion of clear public interest requirements for broadcasting, and the relaxation of ownership rules,” he wrote.
In addition to having this new CDO title, Lloyd will also assume the title of Associate General Counsel, giving him what seems to be a substantial amount of authority to pursue these objectives. But Seton Motley, Director of Communications for the Media Research Center, said that there is no way of knowing at this point how much authority Lloyd will have.
“We frankly don’t know what role the CDO will play,” he said.
Lloyd’s past work includes stints at the Center for American Progress (CAP) and vice president of strategic initiatives at the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR). CAP is funded by the liberal financier George Soros and LCCR focuses on representing “persons of color, women, children, labor unions, individuals with disabilities, older Americans, major religious groups, gays and lesbians and civil liberties and human rights groups.”
In a blog post, LCCR praised the selection of Lloyd by saying that he will “help the FCC to develop communications policy that will increase media diversity and address the needs of low-income people, women, minorities, people with disabilities.” The LCCR and Lloyd have been careful to distance themselves from the notion that they support the Fairness Doctrine, while actually backing every principle the doctrine stands for.
“We call for ownership rules that we think will create greater local diversity of programming, news, and commentary. And we call for more localism by putting teeth into the licensing rules,” he wrote in an article on CAP’s website titled “Forget the Fairness Doctrine.” “But we do not call for a return to the Fairness Doctrine.”
Motley isn’t convinced.
“They don’t want equality of opportunity, they want equality of outcomes – giving equal time for people who get listeners and people who don’t,” he said.
